About Vacasa, CA - Lake Tahoe Office

Thanks for considering a Vacasa home! We provide full-service management for privately owned vacation homes, and like to think that we offer our guests the best of both worlds: the unique experience of staying in a one-of-a-kind vacation home, with the peace of mind that comes from knowing that the home you book for your special vacation is cared for by professional housekeepers and property managers.

Vacasa began in 2009, simply because our founder and CEO Eric wanted to find a better way to share his wife’s family’s summer home in Long Beach, Washington with guests as a vacation rental. Eric and his early team worked to build Vacasa on the premise that local employees can do what they love most (taking care of guests, homeowners, and properties), while the hands-off tasks of vacation rental management—things like marketing, filing taxes, and maintaining a website—could be handled by a specialized central support team.

Our passion is connecting travelers with the unique experience of staying in a vacation home, and we would be honored to be your host. Please contact us with any questions about this home—our team is standing by!

Horrible

We rented this place as we were looking for basic at the right price. However, basic should not mean run down, dirty, and dysfunctional.

The kitchen was gross - the cabinets felt like they had not been washed in some time, but had been painted over repeatedly on particle board with grease. The utensils and pots/pans were a hodgepodge. The dryer did not work and when we went to dry out ski clothes we found the dryer full of wet and undryable towels and linens.

The walls and floors were beat up. There was no toilet paper bar installed and the air filter looked as though it had not been replaced in years.

Horrible!

 • 1 of 5

I have to say it was the worst condo I've ever rented - and I have rented numerous flats and houses over the years.

The kitchen was dirty/discusting and ill equipped, the clothes dryer did not dry (and there were wet linens and towels in there when we checked in, the floors were in disrepair, the couch pillows had tears and burn marks, the lamp shade was ripped, there was no toilet paper roll holder in the upper bathroom, and the walls had marks and holes in them.

Basic is OK. Dirty, dysfunctional, and ill equipped is NOT.

Perfect Quaint Location

 • 5 of 5

We truly enjoyed our weekend getaway in this cozy condo. Perfect for a small family. We traveled with three children, two adults and had plenty of lounge space and the bar counter was ideal for the kids. The Jacuzzi was awesome and the condo is central to shopping malls and a snow play area as well as being only a few minutes away from squaw ski resort. Definitely will plan another trip here in the nearby future.

Cozy

 • 5 of 5

Although the condo is a little outdated it suited our family getaway perfectly. The location is ideal for shopping, playing in the snow, and enjoying peaceful walks with beautiful views and the Jacuzzi was a definite plus.

It was a very nice house with everything we needed. Not many people around, we enjoyed the privacy.

Good place, could be cleaner. Cleaning fee was way too high almost as much as my stay.
