I was in town looking for a pet friendly location to stay with my family and parents. We stayed in the downstairs unit which is quite spacious, clean, and fit our needs perfectly! I would recommend it to others!
We had a group of ten so we rented both the downstairs unit and upstairs. Our stay was great. Dave and his wife were very helpful and had the house clean and ready when we arrived. The location was a close walk to downtown restaurants and bars. Overall, I would definitely recommend it for the price.
Our first visit to Grand Haven. We chose the property for its location, flexible partial week booking, pet policy, & price. The property was all we expected and more. Updated and comfortable, with plenty of room to spread out. Living area was a good distance from the back bedrooms, so it was a nice space to relax in while kids were sleeping. Kitchen & baths were well-appointed. Although we didn't use them, we appreciated that the owner had items like bikes and beach towels to borrow. The back deck was pretty & private. The property & neighborhood were quiet, yet several restaurants and shops were just right around the corner. A short walk to the main downtown and waterfront and a just as brief drive to the beach. The neighborhood is fascinating to walk - a mix of old and updated with plenty of historic charm. Booking, check-in/out, and parking were all simple. Thanks for a great stay, are very pleased and would definitely stay here again!
My family and I visit the Grand Rapids area every year around early-July. We love to spend a couple of days/nights in Grand Haven, but finding a reasonably-priced place to stay can be a challenge, especially for a single-night stay for a family of 5. With 3 young kids, it's important for us to be able to get the kids to bed and still have a comfortable place for my wife and I to stay up a bit later and relax. This house worked out GREAT for what we wanted/needed. It's a really great-looking house with a ton of room (we stayed on the bottom floor) and all of the comforts of home. It comfortably slept our whole family, with plenty of room to spare. The location is great, with a short drive to GH Beach or the downtown shops. Dave & his wife (property managers) were very friendly and accommodating. The owner (Wesley) was quick to respond to my questions and shortly after reserving the property, he provided a detailed "stay planner", with all of the pertinent info to access the property. All in all, we were quite pleased with our stay and would encourage anyone to stay at this property!
Had a great stay here with a bunch of girls for a bachelorette weekend. The beach is a 5 minute drive away, and the bars are 10-15 min walk. Big open space in the kitchen/dining/family room for hanging out, and accommodated many sleeping spaces. Would definitely stay again to check out more of Grand Haven's downtown and enjoy more of the beach.
We were very happy with our stay here. There is plenty of space for large groups and it was a great gathering space. The owners were very accommodating and we felt nothing was missing. Dave even offered to start a campfire for us the nights that we were there, which I thought was very nice! It is well within walking distance to many restaurants and shops. Overall we had a great stay!
