In recent times Bodrum has become not only a tourist centre but also a visiting place for famous Turkish and foreign artists and also an art centre. The heart of the town is around the harbour, where shops, bars and restaurants jostle together in the narrow streets under the shadow of the St. Peter Castle,

We stayed in this lovely apartment for 12 days and we enjoed the entire stay.
The most amazing thing about this apartment is the fabulous sea and marina view. It is almost a bird eye view of the sea ring in front and right hand side rolling hills. Both day and night the views are so beautiful - just a place for us to relax and enjoy.
The apartment is well kept and clean. New bed linen and towels. Bedrooms are small in sizes but, we spend most of our time in the lovely sun terrace and lounge. The advantage of this apartment is the pool is only few steps away.
Yalikavak is lovely place with its posh marina and expensive Yachts. There are very nice restaurance all along the sea front prominade - only 10 min walk from the apartment.
We will definetly will be back to the same apartment.
Yalikavak is exclusive holiday place with top class marina and lovely fish restaurants. The area is very safe and so calm. Enjoyed the local market on saturday - fresh local vegetables and fruits.
The apartment is nicely kept and we sepnd all our time on this lovely terrace with amazing views of the Ocean and marina. Night time is so colurful.
You need to climp few steps to reach the apartment. But, it is well worth it for the amazing bird eye view. The complex is gated and we felt very safe.
We stayed here for a week and while the view was spectacular and Yalikavak is a lovely place this apartment was a shocker. We arrived and it had not been cleaned. We contacted the owner and they came the next morning and "cleaned" the place, however it really was not clean with dead bugs on the walls and up to us to buy our own laundry soap to clean the towels and sheets. Yes that is correct there were none in the apartment when we go there and the first night we had to sleep inside a duvet cover being the only clean bedding available.
Aside from being quite unclean and having no bedding, the apartment was very damp/ musty and many cupboards broken.
Yalikavak is a lovely place and this is a good location for the able bodied or if you have a car. The apartment also has lovely views. So I would highly recommend the area and one of the other apartments in this complex of which there are plenty.
Second time for us in Yalikavak, but now a different location. Yalikavak is a very nice little village that we discovered we like very much. It is very easy to take a dolmus (minibus) to town -we're there are beaches, places to eat and shop, not too big -but absolutely enough! it is a walkable distance, about 30 min to town center from the house -but not with children 5 & 7 in the heat...
The house itself suited us very well, and sometimes we spent all day there, just chilling around the pool -which is quite big. And important for us with children it didn't feel that we disturbed anyone. House is ok/good equipped for cooking, kettle didn't work but that will know be changed. It would also be very nice with a barbecue, but it might be dangerous in this dry area??
Good to know is that water can be ordered in big bottles and driven to you, as there are quite many stairs... Speak to the neighbours...
It is very easy to go to other bayes & beaches nereby by dolmus, some of them further away easier by car. Places in town arrange different tours to turkish bath, boattrips etc.. Ask the locals or taxidrivers were to eat the best village breakfast. About 30 min walk uphills from the house there's a village with amazing view where you can have nice breakfast as well as dinner.
Me and my family had a pleasant stay, we highly recommend it -and it is not impossible that we go back to this property!
Location, location, location! This villa is truly in the best location. The views from sunrise to sunset are absolutely spectacular and you never tire of it. It is also ideally located (within walking distance) to many great restaurants and other attractions in the Marina. The facilities were exactly as described, clean and very well maintained. The owner provided excellent customer service and everything was arranged as promised, from the airport transfer, to car hire, boat trips and tips on local places to visit and things to do. We would recommend this property without any hesitation. In fact we are considering returning to it in December!
We stayed at this apartment for 2weeks.The complex has still to be completed and as a result there were only 3 other families staying when we were there. The apartment was very well equipped although the washing machine jumps over the floor when it spins, the air conditioning was not working in the bedroom and there was no maid service, all of which the owner is aware and is looking to remedy.!The view is absolutely outstanding and we ate in 4 nights as it was so pretty. The apartment is quite high up,not suitable for disabled or elderly. The pool was large but unsuitable for very young children but there is a tiny pool but this is quite deep for toddlers.Yalikavak village is charming and the people very friendly, its a 25 min walk in but there are cabs available and the dolmus runs every 20 mins. There are some fantastic restaurants all along the walk into the village, all by the sea, every evening you can watch the sunset.Prices vary in all restaurants and fish is very popular here, they charge by the kilo so make sure price is agreed before you order. When we left the complex it was being landscaped and i am sure it will look lovely when its finished. This was our first time in Turkey and we would definately return. We hired a car for the 2 weeks because we wanted to visit the surrounding area but you can go to many of the places on the dolmus, they are cheap and very frequent.
Yalikavak is a town near Bodrum in Mugla province, on the Aegean coast of Turkey. It is 18 km from Bodrum and located at the north eastern tip of the Bodrum peninsula. It is an important tourist resort.
Formerly the Bodrum area’s main fishing port, Yalikavak is considered the most elite village on the Bodrum Peninsula. It has a bustling centre, particularly on market day, relaxing sandy beaches, high quality restaurants as well as several magnificent bays. Yalikavak is surrounded by hills offering tourists views of the town and nearby Mediterranean coastline.
Yalikavak being spread over a wide area or the sublime endless breeze that cools this unique location even during the hottest summer days, one thing is certain, the sensation of absence of disturbance will embrace you completely. It is one of the greenest locations of the peninsula and nature has been very generous in terms of granting it an amazing blue sea and gorgeous coastline.
