Guestbook comments from the owner

This property is absoultly stunning, in a beautiful area of Italy, a perfect base for seeing the sites of Emilia Romania. The house is beautifully finished with a rustic charm, it has its own fruit and vegatable garden, which the owners are happy for you to use, the gardens a pretty and well kept. The house is situated in a small village with lots of fantastic restaurants and bars close by (within a short drive). Theres a local super market close by which have all the necessities. The owners are really friendly and helpful and speak amazing english. The even left us some home made wine to try, and were helpful in telling us the best places to visit. The house is split into 2 stunning apartments, we stayed in the ground floor apartment which is perfect for our young family. We had a truly perfect holiday, seeing all the sights and spending time in a simply tranquill, beautiful house in italy.

Magnífica estancia en Vernasca

  • 5 of 5

Vernasca is a medieval town on one of the famous routes (Via Francigena) that pilgrims, used to get to Rome from the rest of Europe.

It’s a small town with all the main amenities. Market day is on Tuesday, but within 30mn drive there is a market for every day of the week.

The vineyard area Bacedasco produces the famous Gutturnio and Ortrugo wines. Restaurants and trattorias, are excellent and off great value.

Golf-swimming-horse ridding-tennis are all within easy reach.

People who have stayed could not believe that there was so much to see and do. Castellarquato and Vigoleno are just a few of the many medieval castles. Salso and Tabiano, are spa towns that offer health and beauty farms. Golf courses are in abundance.

For shopping, Fidenza village outlet, Parma and Piacenza.

Emilia is a dynamic region for culture (Verdi-Toscanini-Pavarotti) fashion(Armani)engineering(Ferrari-Ducati) and much more. 2 CASES OF WINE FROM OUR VINYARD WILL BE SUPPLIED GRATIS.
