About Sherry Dickerson

Sherry, a Retired United Airlines Flight Attendant after 36 years, resided in Littleton Colorado for 30 years.

In 2004, moved to Bozeman Montana and purchased a Recreational Rental business with her son and operated and grew the business for 10 years until it was sold in 2013. Sherry's husband is still traveling and raising Capital Funds for Christian organizations and schools. Her son, who operated the Rental business moved to Seattle to become a member of the largest Sea Ray dealer in Washington State.

Sherry became a grandmother and enjoys sharing new experiences with her grandchildren AND enjoys meeting and sharing Montana with her guests.

Sherry Dickerson purchased this cabin in 2004

Why Sherry Dickerson chose Gallatin Gateway

Before purchasing the property, I would come out at different times of the day and sit at different spots on the property. It was beautiful, peaceful, with wonderful views. The gold in the sky from the sunrise and the pink reflection of the sunset against the Bridger Mountains, became a yearn over the busy, Littleton, Colorado life.

It was that "special place", I had been looking for, over the years.

I saw an opportunity to share with those who visit Yellowstone, MSU parents, skiers, explorers, snowmobilers, fly fisher people and family.

What makes this cabin unique

Private access to the blue ribbon Gallatin River for fly fishing and picnicking.

Horses are welcome.

Quiet, cozy family retreat

  • 4 of 5

We skied Big Sky and liked being between Bozeman and Big Sky, away from the crowds; about 20 minutes into Bozeman and 40 minutes to Big Sky. Plenty of wildlife to view and enjoy from the cabin and many of the comforts of home - fully furnished, laundry, fluffy towels, comfy sheets, extra bedding, portable heaters, cute decor and because we were there between Christmas and New Years, she had it decorated for the holidays.

Cozy and comfortable

  • 4 of 5

We spent thanksgiving weekend and thoroughly enjoyed the place. Kitchen and bath were well supplied, beds were adequate, furniture was comfortable and the place was clean and ready for us.

Only, not so positive, comment is the steepness of the stairs to the loft which has two queen beds. Not recommended for small children or older folks. Fortunately we had neither so it was not a big issue but we were all very careful when using the stairs.

Owner's Response: It was so fun to set the table for your Thanksgiving meal with your family, since I knew your were getting in late on Wed night. It was also so fun to be able to give your family an opportunity for the horse drawn wagon to dinner. It was the first time we have done that. Yes, the stairs are steep. For small children, we have gates. Grandparents, usually stay downstairs. With extra rollaway beds and pack and plays, downstairs, many guests do not use the upstairs except for older kids. We look forward to your next stay!

The property is as stated in the listing.

The is a charming and well-equipped home. The beds and sofas are comfortable. The downstairs is spacious with lots of seating. There is a breakfast nook and a full dining room area. There are covered porches on 3 sides so you can sit outside out be out of the sun. It is quiet and peaceful with beautiful views of farm and ranch land. Deer come through in the early morning and late afternoon. The owner is very helpful and responsive. The stairs to the upstairs are steep and probably not good for young children or old folks. We loved our stay and hated to leave.

My brothers and I stayed three nights at the cottage and absolutely loved it. The interior was quite comfortable with a large living room, kitchen and eating area to spread out in an relax when we weren't outside looking at all of the views the place had to offer. From any of the porches, or even in the back of the house, where we set up our lawn chairs to watch the plethora of hawks that lived in the cottonwoods behind the cabins, and the scores of mule deer that came down out of the lower bluffs, as darkness fell and endless stars appeared, you could see a different mountain ranges: the Gallatins, the Bridgers, or the Spanish Peaks. Sherry, the owner who also lives on the property, left us to our own, but was there in the drop of a hat if we needed anything. Of course, her private access on the Gallatin River makes for a great place to go and have a picnic, wet a fly ,or build a fire; the fishing on the Gallatin was fantastic this year, with nice trout (10"-14") rising steadily all day long to well drifted attractor dry flies, and accessible within minutes of the cabin. Thanks Sherry, we look forward to returning next year. Tim Carvour Maryville, Ohio
