Located walking distance from downtown and UM, this Victorian cottage is close to all that is happening in Missoula. Just around the corner is the 'hip strip' with coffee, restaurants, brewery, bakeries, ice cream and fun shops. Relax on the front porch and enjoy the picket-fenced yard circled by abundant flowerbeds. Step inside to see original wood floors, doors and trim. Loving care has restored and updated this wonderful house. The bedroom on the main floor has a double bed while upstairs is the bathroom and two dormer bedrooms with single beds. The well-appointed petite kitchen will handle your cooking needs, only lacking the convenience of a dishwasher. The fragile nature of the home does not allow smoking or pets.
Originally from back east, Colorado was our home until our children grew up and moved away. Having retired from teaching and land management we moved to Missoula in 2008 to be closer to our daughter.

We were very happy to find a place right in the heart of old Missoula. Our property has 2 homes, one we used for visiting friends an relatives, which gave us the idea of inviting more folks to enjoy all that we find intriguing about Missoula.
Missoula is a wonderful and unique small town with so much activity. Walking from the house is easy and the town is bike-friendly. Don't miss the rest of Montana.
For our purposes -- an extended family gathering in Missoula -- this house was perfect. Four adults stayed here, enjoyed the living area and the gorgeous well-maintained garden. Easy walks to everything we needed. Efficient, hospitable and friendly owners. Plenty of space in the front room to do yoga! Interesting paintings, too.
This home served as a meeting place for a little family gathering with 3 adults and one toddler. The photos do not do this property justice!
It is spacious, comfortable, and neat as a pin. The backyard and front porch offer additional sweet space to enjoy.
For a family of cooks the kitchen had the best appointed kitchen of any rental we have ever stayed in. Nice cookware, dishes, cutlery and a cupboard full of very useful staples. The gas grill got a workout as well.
What a great location as well, easy walk to parks, grocer, downtown and university.
Visiting Missoula after being away many years and staying in this charming home made me wonder why I ever left this amazing place?!
Thanks to the owners for making this stay very memorable and special!
p.s. Thanks for the high chair and pack and play too!
a lovely little place with everything we needed. the owner was very nice and helpful. the private backyard was the perfect place for us to park our bikes, and despite some rain, my three young kids and i toured all around missoula by bike. the cozy victorian cottage was a perfect location for us -- super close to downtown (just over the bridge to the farmers market), around the corner from the hip strip, and most importantly, 2 blocks from big dipper ice cream.
the small efficient kitchen seemed to be missing a couple of things...like a colander and pepper...but nothing terribly inconvenient and we were still able to cook fabulous meals. the beds were very comfortable with nice sheets and comforters, however small (3 twin size upstairs and a full size on the main floor). the staircase is steep and the steps creak (i find this charming), but the owner warned me and she's right - you really must watch your step.
