Welcome to your home away from home in Roscoe Village a very family friendly neighborhood with many local shops and restaurants to choose from.This newly constructed very spacious 2100 square ft. quiet,warm and welcoming private 3 bedroom suite is complete with a high end kitchen and equipped with stainless appliances,granite counter tops along with brand name furnishing.Our bedrooms include 1-King size master bedroom and 2-Queen size bedroom suites along with 2 full baths.All of the rooms are equipped with flat screen plasma TVs,free cable and surround sound.There is a I pod/I phone docking station,blue tooth wireless access and a printer along with a full a ADT Security system.In the rear of the building is a small balcony off of the master suite along with a large private deck exclusive to this unit with lounge chairs and a Weber gas grill.All of our laundry and bedding is sent out to be professionally laundered,along with a very extensive cleaning of the entire unit between every stay.There is plenty of free street parking available throughout the neighborhood.This unit is a licensed hotel as required by the City of Chicago on all vacation rentals and we are fully insured. IMPORTANT As you search for a vacation rental please be aware of the Chicago ordinance on all vacation rentals that require a hotel license.We have had guest show up to other unlicensed units in the city only to find out they have been shut down by the city and call desperately seeking other options.Ask for license number.

My wife and I have been in Roscoe village for 10 years and decided to build a 3 flat in Roscoe Village for a space to open my wife's boutique and to place 2 apartments above for a upscale vacation rental option and have constructed them accordingly.We love the neighborhood and all there is to offer.

As a family with 3 small children, we try to utilize VRBO's whenever we travel, and this was one of the best experiences we have had to date. This unit is very well done with all the amenities one would need and plenty of space to spread out - something that can be hard to find in a Chicago condo. We were also impressed with how quiet it was inside the unit. Being on a somewhat busier street you would expect to hear some noise from outside, especially during the weekend the Cubs were at home for the World Series, but not in this home. The Roscoe Village neighborhood is great, with multiple shopping, dining, and grocery options within a short walking distance. For those with young kids, there is a nice playground at the neighborhood school about a block away. We are former Chicago residents, and although we did not live in Roscoe Village, it has now become one of our favorite neighborhoods in which to stay. Finally, Rick was the most responsive property owner that we have worked with and he made our stay very easy and comfortable. We highly recommend this rental, and will certainly stay here again when we return to the city.
We had a wonderful stay on W. Roscoe Street. Our family all gathered in Chicago for Thanksgiving. The property is very comfortable, clean and well equipped. We were comfortable with plenty of space to prepare a Thanksgiving meal and easily made our way downtown for sight seeing. We were able to walk to restaurants on W. Roscoe St. Rick is very responsive and great to work with.
We were a party of 6 (3 couples all in our mid 30's) that stayed at Rick's property for 3 nights and couldn't have been more happy. This property was tastefully decorated, extremely clean and very convenient! We were in town for a rugby game at Solier Field and thought we would spend most of the 3 days in the city (and we did go down every day) but ended up in Wrigleyville most nights as the Cubs just won the world series. This was an easy cab ride away. We took the train into the city once but mostly Ubered as it was much quicker. We spent the mornings on the back porch with our coffee then again in the evening for a drink before heading out. There are great little shops, bars and a grocery store just out of the front door!
We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and will be back at 2138 Guest house for our next Chicago adventure.

Had a weekend with some family and friends and chose this place on the high reviews and pictures. Was able to use this as a place to enjoy downtown as well as other local neighborhoods. The place lived up to the pictures - probably the nicest VRBO I have stayed in - clean, well maintained, well stocked and high end finishes. The location is a little off the main parts of Chicago but easy access to the L and a great neighborhood with some nice shops and restaurants and was able to enjoy some of the local pubs while watching the Cubs games. Rick is incredibly responsive to any inquiries or questions and clearly knows a lot about the neighborhood and Chicago, loves to share his knowledge and has great recommendations for places to eat and things to do! My sister has already recommended this to her in laws for an upcoming trip to Chicago. Great place and will definitely book again when I get back to Chicago!
My husband and I flew in from Upstate NY to meet in Chicago with our daughter and two young grandchildren who flew in from Denver for a long weekend. We could not have been more pleased by the clean, well outfitted and comfortable accommodations. The location is ideal for family with easy walking to restaurants, grocery stores, playground and the ‘L’ for our fun day at the Shedd Aquarium. Rick Hughes was friendly, gracious and very helpful. We slept in the master bedroom and had one of the best night’s sleep on the comfortable mattress. With three adults, a two year old and four year old there was plenty of space to spread out. The children’s books and toys were a welcome addition to what my daughter had brought in her suitcase. Rick even provided a girls Halloween costume for the four year old that was perfect for the pre-Halloween street event one of the days we were there. We used the available umbrella stroller for our day at the Aquarium and I used the rolling carrier for a quick walk to and from the grocery store. I highly recommend this Roscoe Village location and would definitely consider it again for a future trip to the city.
Our stay at this home quite simply blew us away. The property itself was beautiful, modern, spacious and had all the amenities we could ask for. Beyond that, Rick Hughes was terrific to work with and extremely helpful/responsive to all questions big and small. We were in town for a family event and the opportunity for all of the out of town visitors to stay together in such a wonderful place helped make the weekend even more memorable. Not only is the property itself beautiful, but it is located in a terrific neighborhood steps away from great shopping, restaurants, bars and parks. If you've never stayed in Roscoe Village, it is family friendly and extremely pleasant. There is no doubt in our minds we will call Rick before each future trip to Chicago. We were especially impressed by the kid-friendly amenities (pack and play, dishes, books and toys, stroller, high chair, etc.) and the back deck was a great place to socialize together. Our group included three generations of our family and we were all thrilled with our stay. What a great place!
