Located on the east side of Cayuga Lake.

Main bedroom has a 4S and older iPhone/iPod recharging alarm clock.

Bathroom includes a stall shower and there is a hair dryer available for use.

Kitchen is fully equipped with tableware, glassware, flatware, cookware, full size refrigerator, oven, electric range, microwave, toaster, coffee-maker, crock pot, food processor, blender, waffle iron, and hand held mixer.

Iron with full size ironing board.

Dish TV with DVR and DVD player.

Air conditioning and gas fireplace as well as one portable fan.

Fully stocked first aid kit.

Off street parking and boat launch.

Great swimming due to the gradual, sloping water level. Due to the rocky bottom of the lake, water shoes are recommended.

Various sizes of life jackets available for use.

Wooden dock with sitting and fishing area.

Picnic table that seats 8 under large shade tree in yard overlooking the lake.

Fire circle available for small campfires.

A limited number of lawn chairs, fishing poles, and lures are available for use.

2 single person kayaks with paddles are included with rental.

No smoking. No exceptions!

No land-line phone.

Paper products-toilet paper, paper towels, tissues, and coffee filters-are provided.

Self cleaning cottage-you must leave the cottage in the same clean condition as you find it in. Cleaning supplies are provided. Hand and dish soap are also provided.

Because the running water in the cottage comes directly from the lake, the owners have installed a whole house UV water filtration system that all of the water goes through before it enters the house. As a precautionary measure, the owners recommend that you bring your own drinking water. A brita filter pitcher is available for use if you would prefer not to bring your own drinking water. The water is safe for cooking and bathing.

You must bring your own bed linens, pillows, blankets, and towels with you. Limited bed linens, pillows, blankets, and towels are available for use if you would rather not bring your own, but if used, must be washed and put away at the end of your stay in the same condition as you found them.

Swimming, boating, kayaking, fishing, or any activities on or near the property are strictly at your own risk.

What a jewel of a vacation home!!

  • 5 of 5

My friends and I can't say enough wonderful things about this property!! We are all spread out and it is hard to get together often, and this cottage was exactly what we were looking for on our grils getaway weekend! Julie and Adam are wonderful owners and their home is clean, comfortable and well stocked with everything you need. The pictures hardly do this property justice,we were so impressed with all the touches the owner gave the property to make their guests feel at home. The girls and I had a wonderful time relaxing on the dock, swimming, grilling, playing games, and just enjoying the scenery. The highlight was certainly sitting on the dock catching some amazing sunsets and then one night being treated to fireworks going on around the lake! We visited the Kings Ferry Winery and had a blast sampling the delicious local wines and the employees were friendly and made our visit special. If you are looking for a place to come and relax with friends or family look no further. We made some wonderful memories and we look forward to returning next summer! Thanks again Adam and Julie!

Great location, quant cottage.

Highlights are very quick off the road to get to, swimming off the dock, two very nice kayaks and fire pit near the water. A few golf options nearby as well as the usual wineries.

Cottage and surroundings are nice.

  • 4 of 5

The dock, lawn, fire pit, and bbq grill are great and having fishing poles, kayaks, wood and other amenities made the 5 day stay enjoyable. The cottage is nicely stocked; games, blankets, cookware, utensils, etc. I will say the rooms are small and the bathroom is unique. If your not looking for fancy, you will enjoy this little cottage.

Cozy Cottage on Lake Cayuga

  • 4 of 5

Full disclosure, we were newbies with using VRBO. Everything went very smoothly and the owner responded to all of our questions promptly and in full detail. We booked a long five day weekend in late June 2015.

The Cozy Cottage was cozy! But everything was as is described. It was very clean and in a fantastic location. If you couldn’t find what you needed in the fully stocked kitchen, you didn’t need it. We took full advantage of the property, from the grill for cooking, chairs in the shed to the kayaks available. We even borrowed the extra fishing tackle in the shed. The cottage comfortably slept two adults and two children. Even the air mattress was comfortable as it had dual comfort settings. And yes, the bathroom was quite small; but functional.

The location of the cottage is central on the East side of the lake. We took full advantage of the location to explore Long Point State Park and well as Buttermilk Falls in Ithaca. There is a general store (Wilcox General Store in Ledyard) located about 10 miles from the cottage that was convenient for re-stocking. The dock out over the lake was a nice feature and we also used the fire pit one evening.

All in all, this was a very quiet and tranquil property. Yes, it is small, but if you are looking to get away and off the grid for a few days, I would recommend and stay there again.

Pleasant surprise, sweet cottage!

  • 5 of 5

Sweet cottage, clean and well stocked. Nice amenities included. Pleasant and comfortable, lovely view of lake from within the cottage. Good outside area - small deck with good-sized grill, shade tree, picnic table, yard area, firepit. Dock has built-in bench seating. Easy kayak launch from beach. Early in the season with no motor noise.

Owner has accurately represented compact bathroom. Narrow door on one end, accordion door on the other end opens into larger bedroom.
