Adorable cottage on Route 6A, 'The Old King's Highway', in the picturesque village of Cummaquid, Cape Cod. Ideal for two, combination living room, bedroom, kitchen with separate bath with shower, outdoor barbeque, cable TV, internet. Situated at the foot of the owner's 13 acre property. Walk across the street and take a stroll to a quiet bay side beach through the fields of MA Audubon’s Long Pasture Wildlife Sanctuary.Close to shops and restaurants in Barnstable and Yarmothport Villages, as well as beaches, whale watching, golf, and art galleries. Great area for walking, biking and kayaking.
Our stay was wonderful, and we enjoyed every minute. The cottage was quiet, quaint and super cute. The first night we had an issue with the AC not working as well due to the heat and humidity, but the owner graciously brought us fans until the AC started working better. She got back to us immediately about the issue, which was really fantastic.
The kitchen and bathrooms were clean and a good size considering the overall size of the house. The linen chest was stocked fully with towels and bedsheets, and the bookshelf was full of books as well. We also made use of the grill, which was great for a summer BBQ.
The only small issue I would mention is that the bed was slightly small and uncomfortable. Due to the space of the room, it makes sense that the bed would need to be a double/full size, but a mattress topper would be a great addition!
Overall, we had a ton of fun! Thanks so much!
The cottage was really quaint, convenient and equioed with everything you need. It was great sleeping in a quiet setti,g and the bed was super comfortable I recommend staying again.
The cottage is in a good location to travel the Cape. It is clean and stylish. It does have a window AC that could be larger so you may want to bring a fan to help circulate the air. communication with owner is great! Take a short walk to the Optomist in Yarmouth for great food and company.on your way back stop at Halletts' for chowder and ice cream.
We stayed in the cottage for 5 days as a second honeymoon (to celebrate our 25th anniversary). Very clean and had all the amenities needed for a nice stay. Centrally located for visiting the Cape, Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket. Would highly recommend!
Perfect for two. Layout for enjoyable stay with dining area, sitting area and small bathroom with roomy shower. Well supplied kitchen with stove, oven, full size fridge. Comfortable double bed with quality linens. Handy to mid-Cape activities or just stay at the cottage for a relaxing time. Spacious yard is lush and deck is handy for grilling. Gardens are profuse and lovely. Nearby Audubon trail is nice walk. Cummaquid is a beautiful, historic part of the Cape. We would definitely stay here again. Owner very accommodating.
The cottage was pristine in a great location with easy access to kayaking, beach and food. nice and quiet. Reminded me of the cape from my childhood. Magicial but no strip development. You must pay attention to the tides and afternoon New E bogland rolling thunder storms. I recommend this for couples or a single person not looking to hook up with anyone.
