Welcome to your very own secluded 11 acre paradise. Begin your day gazing out over the turquoise waters of the Atlantic Ocean from your expansive terrace high atop your private sand dune. Soak up the warm rays of the sun while taking in the unparalleled vista before you. Or, meander down your private path and let your toes sink into the soft pink sand of your pristine beach.
Wander the shoreline stretching for miles in both directions. Don't be surprised if yours are the only footprints you see. Dip into the crystalline clear water or if you feel energized by your stunning surroundings, swim the length of the beach before breakfast. Protective coral reefs allow only warm gentle waves to lap your shore.
After breakfast don your snorkel and mask and explore the many reefs right in front of your luxury beach house. Discover colourful tropical fish and lush corals. Or, pack a picnic and head off to explore the countless spectacular beaches that line both sides of your island.
On your way home pick up freshly caught fish or lobster, from the local fisherman, and freshly picked organic veggies from the local farmer, to prepare for dinner in your gourmet kitchen. Or, try one of the fabulous nearby restaurants, only minutes from your door. Marvel at the sun setting across the harbour while swaying to the rhythm of island music.
At the end of the day, take a minute to revel in the trillions of stars high above your secluded piece of paradise. Then fall into your king-size bed and drift off, lulled to sleep by the gentle roll of the surf below.
Stepping inside Tourmaline is escaping the world and entering your very own piece of paradise. As you enter the Great Room you will be awe-struck by the spectacular view that greets you through the three massive glass doors (all with 20/20 screens to keep out even the tiniest of no-seeums) and the floor-to-ceiling native stone walls.
Your open-plan main living area links effortlessly with the expansive terrace over-looking the ocean below. Stop to enjoy the view from one of the many comfortable chairs and sofas, watch a movie on your 48” TV or tinkle the ivories on your baby grand Steinway piano. Or continue on into the large dining area with another huge patio door leading to the terrace and outdoor dining area. This bright room boasts huge windows on all sides offering more views of the ocean. The large pine dining table seats six comfortably.
The completely remodeled gourmet kitchen boasts quartz counter tops with several great work areas, double stainless steel sinks, all-new appliances and inside and under-cabinet lighting. The kitchen’s large windows overlook the gardens.

As Tourmaline has been recently completely renovated and redecorated, most furniture, including all beds, mattresses, bedding and linens are brand new.
WE ARE PUTTING IN A POOL NOW! IT WILL BE READY FOR USE IN MAY OR SOONER.
Tourmaline is high on a hill overlooking the Atlantic giving every window and the deck fabulous views. The house is comfortable and decorated with white furniture and bright colored accents. Every cozy chair and couch has an adjoining lamp. The access to the beach is a steep climb but well worth the effort. There are not many houses on this stretch of beach so we were often alone enjoying the pink sand and turquoise water. There are two lovely bedrooms adequate for adults and one that is better suited for small children. It is very small with bunk beds. The kitchen is large with plenty of counter space. It is very well-equipped.
We had a wonderful vacation at Tourmaline!
Eleuthera is a fantastic place to explore beaches, the settlements, the restaurants and to get to know the friendliest folk anywhere. But Tourmaline makes it difficult simply because you may not want to leave the house and it's stunning environs! I'll start with what I think is really special about Tourmaline and that's the beach right in front of the house. It's one of the nicest on the island and it's just steps down a sandy path and some steps. It's private and really stunning with some shade and beautiful clean pink sand. There's even some OK snorkeling right out front. We were still discovering the island so were out exploring a bit but you could easily simply stay at the house and that beach and be perfectly happy.
The house itself was complete in every way so I won't go into all the amenities but I will say that the house is designed with the right amount outside sunny spots, shady spots, outdoor shower, clothes line (there's a dryer of course but we like to hang our clothes in the sun). The decor inside is really lovely and the white frames the amazing blue of the ocean from so many windows. The master bedroom upstairs is quite nice and the view again is fantastic.
You can not go wrong spending time at this home. Soon there will be a pool as well that will have perhaps the nicest view of any pool anywhere!
Tourmaline was a spectacular place to stay. For us, the up high view of the gorgeous water was stunning. The roar of the ocean puts you to sleep each night. The beach in front is super nice, but we walked about 1/2 mile North just past some rocks and the lack of coral in the water made it great for riding the surf. Many nights you could see the cruise ships passing and it brought back great memories for us as cruisers. We were all over the island from North to South and the Atlantic side has it for view and sandy beaches. The Caribbean side is more rock than sand. Harbor Island has a great beach near Sip Sip restaurant, but they don't have the higher elevation like Tourmaline. If you love that turquoise and blue view of the water, this is the place.
