About Mike & RosaLee walsh

This beautiful 1 1/12 acres has been in the family over fifty years. Back then there were no roads to our property. How Cave Creek has changed! We took a big step 11 years ago and built this beautiful home on the acreage. It was a challenge and well worth the effort. We are now retired and enjoy traveling. We've used VRBO many times and decided since we are familiar with VRBO, will register our home on VRBO for you to enjoy.

Mike & RosaLee walsh purchased this house in 2006

Why Mike & RosaLee walsh chose Desert View

We are located in the beautiful high sonoran desert. The home is in a rural setting on an unpaved road yet close to recreational activities and entertainment and shopping.

What makes this house unique

The floor plan is large and comfortable. The views are spectacular.

Quiet Solitude in Wonderful Spaces

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I spent three wonderful weeks at Sonoran Desert Paradise, and loved virtually every moment of our stay. The "great room" was spacious with a wonderful view of the very quiet, peaceful desert-like back yard area. The kitchen is well equipped and again spacious, and the master bedroom quite luxurious and comfortable. We had two couples join us for a few nights and the house worked wonderfully in accommodating these additional people. I am an avid cyclist, hence I rode my bike nearly every day. There were many inviting and pleasant directions to ride from this location. You should know the home is located on a "native" dirt or packed gravel type road, so I had to be careful cycling my road bike the 0.3 miles to get to the paved road.

In the interest of full disclosure, about a week into our stay we experienced a disconcerting problem with the home's waste water disposal system, and had to vacate the home for one night. But Mike and RosaLee, who were staying in the area, were instantly on top of it, and we were back in the home the next morning. They quickly covered all our expenses relating to this inconvenience. My point is not to focus the difficulty we encountered (I doubt it will ever happen again) but rather to share how quickly, carefully and completely the Walsh's were in dealing with it. We were very impressed at the energy, focus and immediate action that they took to correct the problem. They want clients to have a good experience.

My wife, who is more of a stay-at-home person, loved the house, the nature that surrounded us ( many birds that we enjoyed feeding in the mornings and evenings), and the peaceful solitude of our desert like setting. We ate most of our meals at home, but did make it to Scottsdale (about 12 miles away) for several wonderful dinners out. If you want a vacation that is in a quiet setting and a little out of the mainstream of everyday living or tourist actively in the Scottsdale/Phoenix area, this is wonderful choice. We hope to return.

Beautiful and Private Desert Home

  • 5 of 5

We have stayed in this home for Feb and March this year and last, and are so sorry we can't commit to return again next year. The house is huge but welcoming, and Mike and RosaLee spare no effort in ensuring everything is immaculate and in place for their guests. The kitchen and pantry were well and thoughtfully stocked. The beds are comfortable and the double office let us work undisturbed when we needed to. The master BR is on one side of the house so when we had other guests they had their own area on the other side. We loved being able to sit at the front or back of the house, depending on temperature, and used the fantastic rooftop deck as often as we could -- the views to the Boulders, Black Mountain and the ranges to the west are simply stunning. The property is beautifully landscaped and there is plenty of wildlife to watch. Grocery stores are very nearby and it's a short drive to other shopping, dining and recreation options. Mike and RosaLee are two of the nicest people you could ever hope to meet, and are always available to respond to any questions or concerns.

Perfect home for Family get together

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed in this property for almost 3 weeks in November, we know Cave Creek really well having traveled there from the UK on many occasions and often rented through VRBO. Mike and RosaLee really could not have been more helpful - nor could their home be more perfect. We invited friends to stay for a few days at the beginning and then our daughters flew in for the last weekend. One also from the UK with her husband and the other from LA. We had always wanted to get the family together in our favorite part of the world. The house is huge and just perfect for entertaining with literally everything you could possibly want or need. It is ideally situated just south of the wonderful Cave Creek with excellent local supermarkets, golf courses, hiking trails, restaurants etc.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there and could not recommend it more highly.

Wonderful Winter Retreat

  • 5 of 5

We stayed for a little more than a month in this home and were sad to have to go back home to Iowa. The house is gorgeous and also accommodated our family and friends who visited us during our stay. Mike and Rosalee have thought of everything that you might need in any room of the house AND outside living spaces. This is by far the nicest home we have ever rented. The reviews are all accurate. We hope to come back and stay in the future. We already miss the quail, bunnies, happy hour on the patio, and the sunsets from the roof. Thank you for sharing your home with us. It was a pleasure meeting you both!

Don't hesitate to rent this home, you will not be disappointed.

We stayed here due to all the excellent reviews they had. They were all true! The house is tremendous. I'm not sure why someone would want to rent out their home but it was extremely comfortable and modern. The property is large and if you are looking for a place that isn't fenced in by neighbors this is it. We went up on the roof for evening views of the sun going down over the mountains. There is nothing more beautiful. Mike and Rosalee are very accommodating. They were not there when we got there but everything was planned ahead of time and we had not trouble. I would highly recommend this for anyone.
