Amazing Home in Forest Highlands
Caprice and Bill were exceptional VRBO owners who took every opportunity to make the stay a huge success. Most notably was their embrace for our family dogs. One of the very best VRBO experiences we have ever encountered.
Highly recommend with outstanding and Superior customer service!
Excellent in everyway!
Beautiful home and wonderful service !!
Our group of eight recently stayed at the Highland Château for four nights. Everyone raved about the experience. The home is beautifully decorated and the concierge service provided by Caprice was first rate! She accommodated our requests and needs from taking photos in advance to delivering a large golf umbrella by 7 AM on short notice. We use the Château as our base for tours of the Grand Canyon (both from above and from the Colorado River) and Sedona. The tour company even picked us up at the house. The highlight at the Château was ‘Bill and Caprice providing personal chef services three of the nights. Each night a different menu select in advance and the table set and decorated to reflect the theme of the meal. Caprice has such lovely taste and no detail was too small. The in-home meals prepared by ‘Bill were delicious! Each permitted a sense of relaxation after long days touring and added so much to the camaraderie shared by the group. If that wasn’t enough, it is actually more cost effective then dining at highly rated restaurants (without sacrificing delicious meals). We could not recommend this experience more. Thanks Caprice and ‘Bill for making our stay so special.
This is our third stay and it just keeps getting better and better. The owners, Caprice and Bill are so kind, generous, gracious. The home is big but with lots of spaces to call your own. I love this home and I love this location. Long walks through forest lined roads. Friendly neighbors. Friendly dogs :). It is private and secured. Quiet. I immediately feel a weight off my shoulders upon entering in and always sad to leave! Great escape from the pressures of life in the city.
This home is spacious yet has a lot of nooks and crannies to hunker in making it great for large gatherings with spaces to get away from it all. The master bed is ever so comfortable and there is a skylight just above the bed. When I wake in the night and look up and see the moon backlighting a pine tree, how can one not go back to sleep and dream sweet dreams! This is our second time renting this property and we have one more on the books. It is a quiet and peaceful area and the home itself is so warm and inviting, one immediately feels at home. The owners are so kind and willing to help make your stay the best it can be. Highly recommend!
winter family fun....not so much fun aftermath
I have mix feelings about this experience and mostly because there's unresolved issues; let me explain...
We had a great communication with Caprice prior and during the vacation. The house is spectacular! We had tons of fun with our family on our one week retreat. 2017 did not have a lot of snow but we still skied on Snowball. We also took Caprice recommendation on a one day trip to Sedona. Flagstaff has lots to offer from great restaurant to family fun at North Pole Experience. We even made it to the Grand Canon. Cant complain there.
On another note, there was a lot a paperwork involved with contracts understandable as this is a high end property on a private community and everybody has rules to protect their part. We had a two hr tour and agreed to a second set of rules for the house. All and all, I thought they are just over protective.
Finally, we finalized our contract and 275 dlls of the deposit was held claiming a stain on a carpet requiring professional cleaning services. A week later I receive an email from the insurance company claiming almost 4000 dlls on damage to driveway and the same carpet. I immediately called Caprice and asked for more information, she said that everything was taken care, don't worry. I expressed my displease for not being informed of the damage or the claim submitted under my insurance policy and asked for the original claim as well as evidence. I also emailed and called the insurance and received basic information as they are still awaiting evidence.
Its been 11 days and I sill don't have her reply. Ive called her 3 times, emailed her 3 times and text her 3 times still no answer.
On top, I feel frustrated that VRBO has given me a limit on time to write this review; and Today is the last day! therefor I hope all this is a big misunderstanding but felt it necessary to warn you.
It is disappointing that this guest is complaining after they willfully violated the House Rules and Lease Agreement, intentionally brought in twice the number of guests disclosed in his VRBO booking and proceeded to damage this million dollar property during December and January. This party should have been asked to leave tge first day, but that’s a tough decision to make when guests have traveled long distances during the holidays. Making an exception to allow them to stay was a huge mistake. These guests from Mexico destroyed 34 separate sections of the cobblestone driveway with their cars leaking oil; then had the audacity to deny the damage existed to CSA insurance who had a policy in place to cover the claim. Now the property owners are stuck with the damage and the bill unless they take legal action against the traveler. The unethical actions of this traveler is astonishing And his refusal to be accountable for the damage caused by his group when it would have been covered 100% by the insurance purchased with the reservation is no “Misunderstanding”.
