St. Andrews House Rental Photos and Description

Our beautiful home is walking distance to literally everything that St Andrews has to offer. A short 5 minute walk and your in the heart of the village with its quaint shops, and wonderful restaurants. The Town Wharf is within a 5 minute walk as well.

The home has all the amenities and comes with a well appointed kitchen, large dining room, piano, pool table, Swedish sauna, Masterbedroom suite, and much more.

Please view our pictures. Words cannot describe how wonderful our home is and how welcoming the Town of St Andrews is.

St Andrews NB is home to the World Famous Algonquin Hotel, PGA class Golf course, and a Old World Down Town rich in history.

There are terrific sights to see both locally and a few hours away. Perhaps a whale watching tour during the day, a stop at the aquarium in the afternoon, and dinner at the L'Europe in the Evening would suit you. Or you could take a drive up the Coast to see the Hopewell Rocks. Perhaps a trip to St Stephen for some Chocolate at Ganongs. There are several art gallaries locally that feature some famous artists many of which live locally right here in St Andrews. You can often meet some of the artists at the weekly Farmers Market every Thursday.

Please Call Mark or Michelle Kaplan with any questions.

Beautiful home in a perfect location

  • 5 of 5

We spent a wonderful week in August in this beautiful home. It has all the amenities we needed and some that we didn't need. Two of our group spent many hours cycling around St. Andrews on the bicycles that are provided at the home and a few of us had a great time playing pool. We enjoyed many hours on the outside deck which was equipped with very comfortable chairs and the sunroom is a perfect place for card games. We found the home to be clean and well maintained. There were a couple of things that needed attention while we were there. We called the man that the owner hired to look after the property and he came over promptly. We talked to the owners before we went to St. Andrews and a couple of times while we were there and found them to be very helpful and friendly. The house is in a perfect location and within walking distance of stores, restaurants, walking trails, whale watching, the Thursday market and historical attractions. One of our cars never left the driveway the week we were there and the other only left to go to the beach. We hope to return to this lovely home again next summer for another fun filled week. We would definitely recommend this rental to our friends and family. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

Ok spot to stay

  • 3 of 5

In response to the owner's comment on my review, I did the laundry the first day I arrived as I knew the owners had been there the Monday prior to our arrival that Friday and it was his personal clothing left in the washing machine and dryer. Both loads of laundry had to be re-washed due to the musty smell. Unfortunately the dryer does not work well and needs to be put on several times for clothes to dry. As for the bedding, I am sure they do get changed between guest however this time they were not, one bed was dirty with body hair and the other bedding looked as if they were stained with urine, so yes I changed them. The towels were not in great shape, many of them were stained as well, I did find a bag of new towels in a closet in one of the bedrooms however they were not out for us to use so we did not use them. The televisions did not work, the ice machine did not work, which was not a huge deal we bought a bag of ice and we are not big TV people. So no we did not feel it was professional. The house is a great size, has lots of space and in a great location.

Spacious,Convenient Location- Needs Some TLC

  • 3 of 5

Our family of six had lots of space;we liked the location and made use of large deck and breakfast nook .

We have stayed in many VRBO homes and this is the first one where we found that the owners left their food and beverages in the fridge, pantry, cupboards and their personal products in the master shower.

There were things that require some attention/repairs....the most significant being no smoke detectors ( we did not see any on any floor).

There was garbage left in the garage and with only once a week pick-up there were numerous ants .There was no information left to tell us what or how to recycle.

The upstairs dryer needs repairs as it did not dry clothes. There was a broken shower rod, damaged blinds, the dishwasher was not secured to the counter and the water was not hooked up in the refrigerator to make ice,one of the DVD players did not work. There was no information re TV channels. We added kleenex to each bedroom and our guests would have liked a bedside clock, reading lights and fans in each room. The 2 bedrooms on the main floor had see- through blinds that did not provide privacy at night, nor room darkening capability. There were several worn towels ( as mentioned in a previous review) and some newer towels. The home appeared to be clean upon arrival but the door mats and rugs on the stairs had not been vacuumed. The wooden ramp in the garage was dangerously slippery when damp.

We left comments for the owner when we checked out and hope the feedback was passed along.

This rental was in the perfect location for us and was the right size and price.

Lovely Large Family Home

  • 4 of 5

The house served our three generations and nine people very well. The House is well maintained, and set up for large family gatherings. We spent most evenings on the covered deck, or in the breakfast sun room. The master suite was incredibly bright and comfortable, with a view of the ocean off the deck. The Kitchen island served for gatherings of family while preparing large meals. There are two separate laundry rooms up stairs and down. The full basement was very cool during a heat wave, and had ample play space for the children.

The house was very clean upon arrival. The dish washer didn't work, but the Landlord was advised and made arrangement to have it repaired quickly. The front room and formal dining area are extremely large and comfortable. The location of the residence is one block off water street, which meant we hardly started the car during our week's stay.

We had very little to recommend to the landlord. Because the dishwasher wasn't working, dish towels and cloths were at a premium. We also felt there could have been more towels in a house that could hold nine people. We were allowed to use the grill in the garage, as well as a stroller for our grandson. There was an offer to use the bicycles, as well as the pool table in the basement.

We never met our land lord, however he did contact us via phone on two occasions to ensure we were finding what we needed. We were very satisfied with the service. We would not hesitate to rent this house again. It was inexpensive. It was very inexpensive when you take into consideration the number of people it can accommodate, the location to the sea, downtown, the blockhouse, and most of what the town has to offer. I would strongly recommend this house for people who want a comfortable relaxing holiday in this beautiful ocean side town.

It is a beautiful house close to the main street within walking distance to many attractions. Unfortunately we did not have a great first impression; we had to change the bedding ourselves, would have brought our own towels as theirs are not very nice (okay for a dog or cleaning up a spill), the Kurrigg coffee maker did not work, food was left in the fridge, clothes left in the washing machine and dryer for 5 days - smelly, and we felt uncomfortable where there were so many personal items left in the house (family photos, clothes left in the upstairs room and personal toiletries in the master bath. It was a little less unprofessional than what we have been used to.

Owner's Response: In response to your review The bedding is changed between EVERY guests stay. We are not sure which towels you are referring to as the ones that are there are of high quality. As for things left in washer dryer for 5 days. Was that 5 days before your stay or during your stay. Personal items are in the home as it is not a hotel One cannot expect us to eat out our family photos. Oddly you are the very first to complain after two summers. We are sorry you found us less than professional but we are a family and not professionals on the business. Most people prefer that personal touch. We are sorry you don't

Great Family Trip

  • 5 of 5

Travelled from the US and Canada (13 people) so that our family could be together for Easter. Beautiful experience, weather was almost as amazing as the house. Wonderful time, very spacious home. Quiet neighbourhood, peaceful, perfect for our family get-together.

Kids were not bored, local shops close by, plus many other attractions that all members of the family can enjoy!

This owner has not provided a specific location. If you would like more information, please contact the owner.

There is a new Aquarium with a great touch tank. The kids can touch the live aquatic creatures such as starfish, hermit crabs, sea skates and more.
