Pretty villa built in traditional Provençal style and sleeping 6 people. Set within same secure estate as the world renowned golf course of Pont Royal. The villa is in a beautiful location overlooking the Luberon mountains and is ideally situated for exploring this beautiful part of Provence.
Le Hameau des Trois Collines is tucked away at the far end of the Domaine - peaceful and quiet yet walking distance from the village square.
Large 'wrap around' terrace and private garden stocked with lavender, rosemary and mature shrubs, with stunning views of the Luberon and barbecue for al fresco dining. There are two beautiful shared pools, one situated about 15m from villa, the other larger infinity pool about 200m from the villa. These pools are for the exclusive use of residents and guests of Le Hameau des Trois Collines.
The accommodation is spacious with a large open plan ground floor, downstairs wc and 3 good sized bedrooms with one en-suite shower room and large family bathroom - the villa is well equipped with everything you could need for a happy holiday.
Free internet access (wifi).
Originally made famous in the Peter Mayle book 'A Year in Provence', the Luberon in Provence boasts spectacular countryside of vineyards and orchards and beautiful perched hill-top villages. With a market in a different village or town every day of the week, there is always somewhere to go to find fantastic local produce at a great price. There are plenty of activities for all ages close by - numerous trails for walkers, fantastic countryside for cyclists, romantic villages, dramatic ruins, deep gorges, pretty valleys, beaches and fishing villages - the area really does have something for everyone!
We may be biased but we really do think that Provence has it all and is deservedly the most popular region in France for tourists and holidaymakers. Three of France's six national parks are in here and it also has five regional nature parks.
And look no further for cultural heritage, with a civilisation stretching back further than Northern France, Provence has one of the finest collections of roman remains anywhere in Europe. Try and find time to visit at least one of the World Heritage Sites - the Roman Amphitheatre in Arles, the Papal Palace and the famous bridge in Avignon, the Pont du Gard - stunning Roman Aquaduct near Avignon and the Roman theatre in Orange.
Of if relaxation is what you crave - just chill out in our pretty garden with a glass of local wine, soak up the sunshine by one of the two pools or take a walk up to Pont Royal village and enjoy a cold beer by the lake.
Come and explore and find your own favourite - we have provided plenty of up-to-date guide books, travel books and suggestions in our Guest Manual to help you plan your holiday.
Have a look at comments from our guests and do not hesitate to contact me directly if I can help you with anything - we look forward to welcoming you.
Frank and Debby McMorran - we currently live and work in Belfast, Northern Ireland and have four children aged between 21 and 28 who are pursuing their own careers and spreading their wings. Although Northern Ireland is a beauriful country, the climate can be predictably awful and we found ourselves craving the sunshine and outdoor way of life. We had been lucky enough to rent a beautiful villa in Pont Royal from friends and after spending a number of summer and weekend breaks there we discovered that a new development was being built within the Domaine. We took the plunge and signed for Mas 15, Le Hameau des Trois Collines in September 2006 when all we had to go on was a building site and plans. The house was finished in 2008 and we are all delighted with the end result - it is proving to be a wonderful bolt hole that we can escape to and spend quality time as a family exploring the countryside and enjoying the fantastic food and wine that this region produces.
Debby & Frank McMorran purchased this villa in 2008
As a family we love Pont Royal because it is secure and safe for all ages. When our children were growing up they loved the independence of being able to walk to the village and take part in some of the numerous activities - making friends that they are still in contact with to this day. Our little corner of the Domaine is quiet and peaceful but an easy stroll from the shops, restaurants, bars and golf club of Pont Royal. As the plants around the house have matured our little garden has become a private haven of sunshine and beautiful views - we are also lucky to have access to two pools which are accessed only by guests and residents of our Hamlet.
The golf course of Pont Royal designed by the late Seve Ballesteros is a huge draw for golfers and with the new 6 hole course and driving range just below our house there is plenty for all abilities. For the non golfers the course provides a beautiful back drop for the Domaine.
Our house is perfectly situated for those wishing to explore this beautiful region - the Luberon with it's pretty perched villages, the fabulous cities of Avignon and Aix en Provence and the World Heritage Sites - the Roman Amphitheatre in Arles, the Papal Palace and the famous bridge in Avignon, the Pont du Gard - stunning Roman Aqueduct near Avignon and the Roman theatre in Orange.
We discover new places with each visit and love being able to share our house with our guests and are delighted with the feedback we receive from them.
A really lovely holiday - very chilled! The house has felt like a real home this week - thank you. We've enjoyed everything from the local towns and markets, cooking local food and reading your lovely books!
What an amazing time we had at Pont Royal in this villa. A real home away from home. The villa is well equipped with everything you can imagine and with a book and dvd collection to rival Amazon! If you like exploring like we do, the villa is perfectly located for many days out in the surrounding area from the beaches to the Luberon. The owners of the villa have an extensive list of suggested outings and restaurants that they recommend and we worked our way through them and loved them all! Pont Royal itself is fantastic and there is so much to do in the actual resort for the children and for the grown ups. A choice of pools within the resort with the amazing wave pool and super slides at the main resort which our children loved. Then there are activities galore from mini golf, to paintball to horse riding and of course for golf lovers an amazing 18 hole course and a mini course for children / beginners. Lovely bars for drinks on the terrace and a good Italian restaurant. We would highly recommend a holiday in this villa and at Pont Royal.
As a family with adult children we found this property perfect for our needs. It is very cool inside with very effective air conditioning (34 degrees outside) and the fixtures and fittings are well in excess of a normal holiday property. The pool really is only 15-20 yards from the front door and is mostly quiet - often we were the only people there. We found the situation of the house ideal, in that it is generally very quiet, yet is only a 10-15 minute walk from the centre of the site (the walk is a little hilly but is both up and down and short enough not to be problem) . The centre is a little more commercial, with a few restaurants (we found it advisable to book ahead), a wine bar (ideal for a bruschetta and a glass of wine) and a small shop, perfect for a nice walk to pick up the bread in the morning. Another bonus for us is the golf course -we had played it before, but had forgotten how challenging and very enjoyable it is. We found some very nice restaurants nearby - Le Repaire, the creperie in nearby Vernegues (15 mins by car), is a real winner and , of course, head up into the Luberon (Bonnieux, Lacoste) and the views are spectacular. This property has so much going for it (including being only 40 minutes from Marseille airport) it is hard to list everything but one of the real bonuses for us is the hosts themselves. Debby is a real pleasure to deal with, almost like dealing with an old friend rather than a business transaction. So, a massive thumbs up to Debby and Frank and for the "House in Pont Royal" . P.S. already booked again for next year!!
This accomodation is first class, clean, comfortable a real home from home. Good size bedrooms and a wonderful livingroom/kitchen. Everything you need and more with a private garden which gets the sun all day and pool a few steps away from the front door to cool down.
The resort is very quiet in the evening. Make sure you sit in the garden and look up at the stars. There are walks around the resort but a car is essential as it is too far to walk to the local villages. The area is picturesque and there are too many wonderful locations, villages and towns to mention. Supermarkets and restaurants are nearby. The owners have a list of recommended places to visit, eat, drink - what else could you ask for in a holiday in France. Golfers will like this place I think
Just one or two thoughts as I look back on the wonderful few days I spent in your lovely home in Provence.
It was just so peaceful and comfortable and a perfect base from which to set out and explore the beautiful countryside around.
Having heard so many reports extolling the virtues of Pont Royal it was just so good to see for myself and prove the reports right.
I will very much look forward to another visit sometime.
We have had such a wonderful time, our only regret is not booking for longer!! Your lovely home has everything we could need, especially for Sarah, but with the addition of fab scenery & sunshine. The shade provided by the beautiful flowers & bushes in the garden meant Sarah could be the outdoor girl she always wants to be 😀. It was also great to haven Karen on hand to answer any questions.
he approach to the house is breathtaking in every direction. Rugged hills rich with the scent of wild rosemary and thyme, traditional villages with quaint coffee shops and market stalls bursting with unbeatable local flavours, historic ruins and natural wonders all incredibly close to the homely community of Pont Royale.
The house itself oozes with love and care and relaxes the guest immediately. With the much sought after elements of rustic Provençal living housed in an impeccably clean, functional and modern house with local amenities as nearby as the long list of attractions.
With such friendly, kind and accommodating hosts this house cannot be recommended enough, your only conceivable regret will be that you haven't stayed long enough!
Fields of soft lavender, rolling hills, deep gorges - this region is France at its finest with spectacular countryside of vineyards and orchards, fascinating 'perched' hill-top villages, daily markets with outstanding natural produce and the light of Van Gogh and Cezanne.
Pont Royal's origins date from the XIII century. The centre of the village complex in Pont Royal is walking distance from the villa and has been beautifully designed around a church, in the style of an old Provençal village. During summer months there are a number of activities for all ages which can be pre-booked at the main reception. Our guests are also able to purchase daily or weekly passes for the wave pool, water slides and heated rock pool.
Pont Royal golf course is the only circuit in France designed by one of history’s most talented golfers, the late Seve Ballesteros. It is a fully mature, 18 hole, par 72 golf course, extending over 6303 metres with stunning views of the Luberon - not to be missed by anyone seeking a golfing holiday in Provence. The golf club has a beautiful sunny terrace and offers both bar snacks and full restaurant service and is open to non members. Every year in October the prestigious Masters 13 is played in Pont Royal bringing 80 professionals to battle it out in the penultimate stage of the Alps Tour. There is also a driving range and 6 hole course directly by our villa.
This is a perfect base from which to tour the region at any time of the year - avoid the peak time crowds and visit out of season to enjoy the peace and quiet of this beautiful area.
Other Activities: Ariel tree adventure in next village, Zoo de Barben, white water rafting, canoeing, vineyard tours and wine tasting.
