Second time to visit this home in Seagrove, Florida. Very satisfied with rates and convenience. My wife and I noticed some nice changes with hardwood flooring upstairs and leather sleeper sofa and chair downstairs. Not a biggie but the cable provider offers log in to Netflix and Hulu on downstairs TV if one has acct. Although we prefer to stay beach side, the overall savings made up for that. Enjoyed close proximity of bike rentals, restaurants, fish market and grocery store. Not fancy but clean, fairly priced and Seagrove never seems as crowded as some Santa Rosa Beach locations.
We stayed in this vacation spot Aug 8-15. Comfortable, clean and the beach chairs/umbrella onsite were appreciated on trips to the beach. Liked having an outside electric grill to not have to deal with gas or charcoal. As I was reviewing other reviews for this site, I noticed a guest from 2014 that seemed to hit it spot on. Simply put, it was a bargain, charging much less than homes or rooms in Seaside. The pool was clean and never seemed to be crowded. A casual walk to the beach took about seven minutes. If we wanted to drive to another beach we found an awesome site about 1/8 mile from the main road that had 20-25 parking spots with a public bath. Seagrove is one of our favorite areas and this unit seems to offer everything we needed/wanted. The convenience of location was great in the fact that some area of interests are close. I also like the fact the house is a stand-alone building and offers more privacy than some of the condo’s and or town houses we have stayed. We noticed a reviewer had mentioned the small bathroom and stability of the flooring but could not find an issue. I noticed some of the cottages are on pylons but place was stable and solid. Lastly, the folks at Coastline do a good job of assisting their guests and seem to exceed expectations with how they treat customers. Pricing was very fair. We normally try different rentals each year but will certainly be back to this home due to it having everything we need, service, price and location. We will give it 5 stars.
We stayed here for the week of the Fourth of July--two daughters ages 9 and 12 and me and my husband. The Bungalows at Seagrove are in a great location, just one mile east of Seaside. Turn on the street by the Tom Thumb to find them. That is also where the beach access is, and it's a bit of a walk (esp when it's hot hot hot like it was when we were there), so we were glad to have our bikes. The pool is refreshing, clean and well-maintained, as are all the grounds of the neighborhood. The home itself is nice--it's cute, nicely furnished, well-stocked, and just the right size for a family of four. I would think any more than that would be too crowded--at least for us.
The only things I did not like/thought could be improved are:
1) new carpet upstairs--it's clean but looking quite worn
2) the size of the "master" bedroom and bathroom was tiny (I'm a small person and I practically had to turn sideways to pass between the TV stand and the bed; the bathroom was not big enough for me and my husband to both be in at the same time and the only storage was right above the toilet, so unfortunately my toothbrush ended up dropping in there once, and the bathroom door pushes into the person standing in front of the sink unless you force it practically into the window; there was no room for a nightstand on either side of the king bed in the master bedroom, and the door could not open all the way because it ran into the bed). I know these are building/design issues but we felt pretty cramped while in the bedroom or bathroom, and we live in a small house.
3) the house swayed and shook whenever anyone walked around upstairs or actually walked up the stairs--this was worrisome structurally. The heaviest person in out family is just under 200lbs, and even my 60lb daughter's steps made the house shake. I'm assuming the builder overspanned the supports. At times it was enough to make me feel slightly motion sick.
Finally, the rental company, Coastline Luxury Rentals, is the best we have ever rented from. We have had the absolute worst and now we've had the best. Having a greeter/liaison call me two days prior to arrival to check and see if I had any questions and let us know what to expect the home to be stocked with was a really nice, personal touch. She also was great about texting back and forth on our arrival day since we were planning to get there before the check in time, and it ended up that the property was ready when we arrived (2 hours early!).
Over the years, my family has enjoyed Seagrove Beach many times. Always peaceful and beautiful - the way I remember the beach from my youth. We enjoyed this bungalow for the first time last year and decided it would not be the last. It is clean, convenient, has great pool access and just a short walk to the beaches already mentioned. Well appointed and maintained - just what we look for in a vacation spot. We will certainly be back.
My husband and I had been to Seaside a number of years ago and thought it would be fun to go back. However, when I started looking at pricing it was ridiculously expensive. That was when I started searching Seagrove and came across The Bungalows.
The place was clean and exactly as the pictures showed. It was convenient to everything which was great. Loved having the bicycles and beach chairs/umbrella included.
We had a fantastic relaxing week and are already planning to come back. Is it high class luxury, no, but it is everything it promised to be so I gave it a five.
My wife and I only give 5 stars when on the beach but if there was a rating for 4-1/2, this would be it. Extremely nice place and very convenient. Our trips to Fla have mainly been to Destin but we are discovering Seagrove to be a hidden treasure. You can walk to some nice restaurants, including upscale, pizza parlors, seafood markets and bike rentals from this bungalow, besides the fact a convenience store is within the same area. Place was very clean and roomy. Two other couples joined us during our stay and both said they will bring their families for a future stay. Bottom line is we will be back, especially with the great rental price. Hats off to the owners for a very comfortable place to stay. Two bikes on site and grill were also great and the small lake in front of the unit. 5-6 minute walk to beach was nice with my wife each morning.
Beautiful Views and 4 minute walk to beach access
