About Diane

We have lived in Florida since the 80's and enjoy opening up our home to visitors and repeat guests. Our interests are traveling, volunteering, taking our great dane out so people can enjoy him, visiting the Smokey Mountains where we have a cabin that is rentable, and enjoying the beautiful Florida beaches.

Diane purchased this condo in 2003

Why Diane chose Florida Central Gulf Coast

Because Treasure Island has less traffic than areas further up the beach and has a nice wide beach where you can watch kite flying, wind surfing and sand sculpting. It is a great town with great restaurants and quick access to downtown St. Pete.

What makes this condo unique

We have a neat, clean, remodeled unit that feels like home and a great balcony to enjoy the beach from or sit on the sofa and enjoy the great view. You could bring your boat here and dock it at our dock, availability permitting but it usually is available and have great restaurants/bars within walking distance and great shopping at John's pass a stone's throw away.

Guestbook comments from the owner

We loved it. Just like home and close to everything. Our new vacation destination from now on.

A quaint condo for the real beach lover out there and perfect romantic get-a-way or individual place to relax. If a broken tile or two on the balcony concerns you, perhaps you need more than 'beach therapy'. Easily one of the best, most secluded spots on the beach. Everything you'll ever need is easily accessible, including beautiful, relaxing sunsets and a 10-minute walks from all the prime spots on Treasure Island.

We enjoyed fun, live music at Sea Hags Bar and Grill, local craft beer at Mastry's Brewing Co. and several trips to the popular John's Pass. There's a Publix within walking distance and your kitchen is very accommodating if you want to stay in and cook your own meals.

The owner Diane is great and we can't wait to come back. Thank you so much for your amazing hospitality!!

The only good thing about this room was its location right on the beach, however, my friend and I were pretty much disappointed with everything else. Tiles on the balcony were missing. The sliding glass door leading to the balcony would not lock, we called maintenance, it was still not fixed so we had to somehow fix it ourselves. I cleaned the burners before using it and it was absolutely black like it has never been properly cleaned before. We also had trouble with ants, which was expected on the balcony and the sliding glass door, but we found them all over the counter and crawling in the cabinets. Therefore, we couldn't keep anything on the counters. Among other things, the comforter had many various stains, mysterious black hairs appeared, and the pans were over-used with the black non-stick film flaking off into our food. Overall, we were a bit disappointed since this place had such good reviews and we were looking forward to our stay here. I would not recommend to others.

Owner's Response: Unfortunately you cannot please everyone. My rental agreement clearly says to call me if you have a problem. I would have sent anybody over there to fix whatever their concerns were. We have people in and out all the time and I have not had these kinds of complaints and have they called me their concerns would have been addressed immediately. A very unfortunate situation

We had a wonderful time in Treasure Island...the condo is small as we expected, just perfect for 2. It's location can't be beat! It was clean and we had just about everything you could ask for. I would recommend this condo to anyone who just wants to get away and sit on the beach. We stayed in the condo from Dec 30/15 until Jan 13/16. I think the best part was watching dolphins both in the gulf and the inter-coastal.

Wonderful location

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I had the most wonderful time. The condo is small but beautiful with everything included. We relaxed on the beach, drank at the Tiki Bar, met some nice people, went sightseeing, dining. Everything is close by either walking distance or a short drive. The weather was perfect. We would recommend staying at this condo.

Great place to relax

  • 5 of 5

This was my husband's and my first time to Treasure Island, and it was definitely worth the drive. If you are looking to relax and just soak up the sun, this is the place. The condo is small, so I would not recommend more than two adults to stay, but it was perfect for us. The view was great, we had the view of the beach to the left and the inter coastal to the right...if you are wanting a "beach front" condo, this is not for you. If you are looking for a "beach party" this is not for you. This place is very laid back, and a little off from the party area/boardwalk. I was a little worried at first, because it is road side, and facing a parking lot... HOWEVER, the noise did not bother us, and when you consider the AMAZING LOW price and that you get both VIEWS of the water, it was worth the sacrifice! Diane has it well stocked with everything you need and decorated nicely too! The building looks and smells very clean and everyone was very friendly. Make sure you walk to Caddy's on the beach and enjoy some yummy food and a refreshing beverage! (We went several times!) Also, the chair and umbrella rental was definitely worth it.

Last, but not least, Thank you Diane for extending your condo to us and for being so nice and easy to work with! Hopefully, we will make it back soon!
