The apartment is located in one of the historical sites of Florence: via Maggio, next to the Pitti Palace and the famous Boboli Garden and it's just a few minutes walk from Ponte Vecchio.
The street itself has always been the street of the antique shops in Florence, however, since it's only a short walk from the historical square of Santo Spirito, the area is surrounded by typical local restaurants and by many other shops for each type of need.
The Palace, though very old, in fact it belonged to the Corsini family until the XIXth century and then to the Rosselli del Turco family it is still under the protection of the Fine Arts, but has a modern elevator and the apartment maintains the beauty of a conservative restoration and provides all the amenities and comforts that, today less than ever, we could do without.
In the apartment there is a spacious living room of 40 sqm, a separate dining room with a dining table for 6 persons and a fully equipped kitchen.
The master bedroom has a king size bed and a full bathroom en suite with a shower.
The second bedroom has a baldachin king size bed and both the bedrooms has original drawings on the walls. There is second bathroom with a huge shower.
In the loft there is another king size bed and a full bathroom en suite with a shower.
In the apartment there is AC in all the rooms, WIFI internet access and it is 1292 square feet.
The renovation has been completed in October 2013 so the apartment is brand new and accurate in every detail.
Extremely centrally located, the apartment is minutes walk to all the major sites and touristic attractions of Florence, though is also very close to food shops and and markets and moreover it has a very pleasant outdoor space that can be used almost all year round.
Thank you for your nice review Jan.
It has been a pleasure to have you in Florence. I always want my guests to be treated as friends and hope that being in my apartment will record good memories and the good vibes for Florence. Always welcome.
The location is perfect - within a real neighborhood, yet just across the river from the highest fashion street in Florence. Bed Rooms are very large in the apt. Restaurants within 3-4 blocks are amazing.
Just back from an amazing stay from this wonderful apartment a short walk from the Vecchio Bridge and close to restaurants, cafes and the Pitti Palace and Gardens. Fab position. Top of the 13th Century house, and very quiet - good lift but the stairs are manageable. Brilliant facilities and clean and fresh and beautifully and stylishly furnished and decorated. There are three steps from the two main bedrooms which might be awkward for some. The spiral staircase was very wide and easy. It all felt secure and safe. Francoise was brilliant and we were welcomed by her friendly and helpful colleagues. I recommend this apartment
Francoise was an exceptional host! His communication before, during and after our stay was very thorough! His assistant greeted us and reviewed the apt. The neighborhood is ideal and the very best gelato was just down the street at the bridge Gelateria Santa Trinta! This is a wonderful flat! We will be back again!!!
Our family of four truly enjoyed our stay in this beautiful historic apartment. It was in a quiet neighborhood but still close to resturants, shopping and sites. We walked everywhere! Within 10-20 minutes we could be at the Uffizi Gallery or the Piazza Duomo. For those who are adventurous we even walked to the Piazzale Michalengelo for the best view in Florence! The apartment is only 10 minute walk to a wonderful grocery store called Sapori & Dintorni Conad on Via de Bardi, 45/47. We cooked several dinners in the well appointed kitchen. The apartment is very comfortable and we appreciated the 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms so our two daughters could have their own space. Thank you Francoise!
We enjoyed the well-located and charming building and apartment, in close proximity to most of the major sights and activities in Florence. The apartment is spacious, charming and very comfortable.
I and 2 friends stayed in this elegant, spacious, immaculate flat from May 12-May 19, 2016. While it is centrally located and walking distance to all the important sites, the flat is in a in a lovely quiet street near the Pitti Palace and Boboli Gardens. The flat is located on the 5th floor but it is next to the lift.
Furnishings are stylish and comfortable. The beds are comfortable and the bath linens are of top quality. The washing machine made traveling light possible. We would suggest that it is easier and more energy efficient to use the drying rack than the dry cycle of the dual function washer/dryer. The kitchen is spotless and very well equipped, although we only use it for making coffee and tea. There is an electric tea kettle, and a Keurig type coffee maker plus a small French Press. We are not Keurig lovers so we use the French Press, but the Press is very small (barely makes 2 cups of coffee). I would recommend a larger French Press will be desirable.
The dining room is large, and can easily accommodate a large dinner party. But there are so many wonderful trattorias in the Oltrano area that we ate all our meals out. The bedrooms are large and the bath rooms are all updated. The pictures in the listing reflect the flat accurately.
We were not able to meet the owner but her assistant Dandy met us and showed us how everything in the flat work. The iron in the flat did not work, and Dandy purchased a new one for us that same afternoon. We appreciate his responsiveness..
This flat is very large and can easily accommodate more than 3 people. It is a great value for what you get and the location cannot be beat. We find the flat to be a nice quiet refuge at the end of a hectic sightseeing day. When I revisit Florence, I will book this flat again.
P.S. There is a wonderful pastry shop directly across from the flat and we stopped there several times for cookies, pastries, etc. Her cakes are not only delicious, but works of art. There are several small markets nearby and a lovely supermarket off Ponte Vecchio. We booked a cooking class with Florencetown.com and enjoyed learning to make fresh pasta, Bolognese sauce, Pomodoro sauce, and Tiramisu. I highly recommend this for friends and families.
Apartment is no more than a 10 minute walk from any place of interest within Florence city centre. Ponte Vecchio, Duomo, Piazza della Signoria, museums, Boboli Gardens. You just need to cross over the bridge to get to the amous Tornabuoni Street where all fashion designers are located. There are also plenty of restaurants, bars and shops very near the apartment.
Florence is well connected with other Italian cities thanks to a good railways network. Countryside around Florence is also worth a visit: Fiesole, San Gimigniano, Chianti, Sienna, Grossetto, are also worth a visit. Whether you are here for a short three day stay or a two month stay, you will never get bored. Travellers'guides in English, French and Italian are available in the apartment.
