Never forget! Sheri is extriemely nice person! Location of this property is unbelivable! Strongly recomended
Classic lake cabin with a massive screened in porch
Great lake views, everything easy to get working, and a short 15 min walk to the village. Nice and quiet at the property itself
The house was clean and very charming. Very cozy and clean. Had one small issue which was immediately corrected. Would definitely stay there again when I go up to Lake George.
Lovely Lake George Getaway
Our week's stay at the end of September was fantastic. The leaves were beginning to change, air had cooled (prepare for a cool master bedroom upstairs!), neighbors go home for the week. Very quiet (with the exception of the occasional steamboat horn), very peaceful, but just right for dinners on the porch, fires and fall walks to the beach. Sheri was flexible and generous, and communicates everything you need to know clearly before the rental. A lovely home for a Lake George getaway.
The Lake house had that entire Adirondack feel to it . It was hatd to want to leave during the day
We wish our stay was a little longer and we are looking forward to next season .
We recommend this as the perfect Lake George get away
Thank you for the kind review.
Stayed one day and left GROSS
The place felt dirty. They don’t supply sheets for the bed which I can’t understand considering I spent almost $2000 for four days in this place. My 12 year old daughter saw a mouse in the bathoom which after looking I found mouse droppings right in front of the bathroom sink (yes I have pictures). There was blood drops on one of the pillows which like I said had no covers “gross”(more pictures). The place felt so dirty we moved out after less then 24 hours and rented a nice clean hotel. The lake access is a joke, it’s basically a boat ramp with weeds grown all over it. “Lake Views” are a slight glimpse of water through the trees. Let’s put it this way, if I could’nt find a hotel room for me and my two young daughters (10 & 12) I would’ve just drove back the four hours home. No way I would’ve stayed there another night. I was also supposed to be refunded my deposit by now, I haven’t been. The “good” reviews for this place have to be made up. I’m sure there will be a reponse about this review saying I was disgruntled or something but trust me I’m not a hard guy to please. This place is no good
After nearly 500 renters over several years, sooner or later we would get just one who is impossible to please. The rental for the holiday weekend was a little over $1500. Prior to the renters arrival I inspected the house after the outside cleaning company had been there and the place was clean! One week prior to arrival an "Inventory List" & "Fact Sheet" is sent out clearly stating the items we DO and DO NOT supply. Our VRBO website specifically states we DO NOT supply sheets & this information is in bold red letters on the "Fact Sheet". The renter checked in at 4:00 pm, I was contacted at 11:00 pm, he was demanding sheets be delivered now. He was told the best we could do was sheets could be delivered early the next morning. However, if a renter asks, we will supply sheets, if they are requested ahead time. All beds have mattress pads & pillows have coverings. The house is in a semi-wooded area & there are chipmunks around. If a screen door is not completely closed there is a slim chance a chipmunk could get in. The lake access is a private area that the Lake Street home owners maintain. It is a grassy incline and cannot be used as boat ramp. Security deposits are handled through VRBO/HOMEAWAY, & this renters deposit was sent back on 9/17. The other unsolicited reviews are from actual renters that stayed at our place & were very happy with the accommodations. They are NOT made up!
House is located on a dead end street, very quiet neighborhood. Semi-Private beach access is less than 100 yards away. Private backyard is great for BBQ grilling, outdoor dining & sitting by the firepit viewing the stars. Million Dollar Beach is in walking distance & about half a mile, Lake George Village is less than 1 mile. It's a pleasurable walk into town. Several golf courses are located within 15 miles, Top of The World Golf Course is less than 2 miles away, The Great Escape theme park (6 Flags) is 5 miles south, The Magic Forest theme park is 3 miles away, Whitewater Rafting and Tubing are just 20 minutes, Adirondack Extreme - 20 minutes, & Historic Ft William Henry is located in the village. A 22 mile bike trail is less than 1 mile, scenic waterfall a 'must see' by boat located on the lake in Log Bay, Glens Falls has more dining, outdoor pubs, shopping & live music approximately 10 miles
* Every Thursday night the village hosts fireworks directly across from house location which can be viewed from the private beach located on lake street.
