Wonderful stay

We had a wonderful stay at Ralf's house. The photos do not do the house justice, it is even roomier than it seems on the pictures. We loved the 2 extra bedrooms with 4 beds for the kids and that no-one had to sleep in the living room. The house is bright and modern, very close to the beach, and the kitchen is well equipped. We would love to come back if we have the chance.

super stay in lovely condo

The condo is right on the beautiful beach of bradenton. The place is clean, nicely decorated, well supplied with everything you might need during your holiday. The entire complex is nicely maintained and the pool and hot tub are great. Lovely owners, who respond quickly at every question you might have. We had a fantastic holiday!!

Perfect little getaway

Clean house in a great location. Beach and opposite side dock just steps away. Locals in the neighborhood were very friendly. Owners were flexible and helpful. We are already ready to go back.

Tried to stay positive...

Property and location are nice... But once you factor in nosey retired neighbors that have nothing to do but hassle and complain to the hoa about nonsense, you quickly realize you've made a mistake. First off, I don't party, I rented this property with my wife and 2infant kids. When we arrived trash cans had been in the garage full of trash for quite some time because they smelled awful and had bugs coming out, not a great first impression. Then when we get upstairs there was hair In the beds, a blood stain on the master comforter. After notifying the owner he contacted the property manager and they sent someone over to rectify the situation which equated to me having to stand around while this guy wanted to reclean sheets, which is not how I want to spend my first day. Let me say the owner was great but he needs to find a new property manager because they are the worst. The guy assured me that even though there was a blood stain on the comforter, it was clean bc he washed it. I don't care if it's clean just throw it away and get a new one. There was trim falling off the windows and the Towel rack fell off while we were staying there and the we get charged 80 dollars only finding out by checking my cc statements. The nightly price seemed cheap at the time but after all the fees and just an overall poor experience, one star for me. The whole stay I was trying to stay positive and move on from negative experiences but that's not really how paying for a vacation should go.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your nice words about our house, location and about me, the owner. I am sorry that our neighbors disturbed you in making no trouble :-). Well first of all we have a 6 person maximum. Justin booked four adults and two kids. From the beginning there were 5 (!) cars blocking the neighbors parking space and a lot of noise. Remember we have a four adult booking. They had much more than 6 people in our house. That’s why the neighbors take a look. That’s why the guest is from the beginning angry about our very polite and friendly neighborhood. Our neighbors are very friendly, live island time and have sun in their heart. We really want to satisfy the guest. One hour after the complaint a staff member took the trash cans out of the garage. The staff was not allowed to take a look inside and clean if necessary. Justin was very rude to him. Our cleaning lady work for us since 5 years. She always did a great job. We never got a complaint. Without any proof that this issue happened, I gave the guest at his second day a USD 100 gift card for the oceanfront Gulf Drive Cafe in our neighborhood. We want happy guests, enjoying our house and the vacation. The house is now 18 years old. We always spend a lot of money to maintain, repair and upgrade it. You can see it at the pictures and the reviews. We really love our house. I have never seen something fall of the wall by itself. A trim and a towel rack does not fall down if you don’t want to destroy stuff. That’s what Justin did. We has made three holes in our wall and left, told us nothing. One in every twin bedroom and one in the 2nd level bathroom. He punched the door knob into the walls. We use VRBO payment system. I don’t know Justins credit card. I can’t take any money from him. I get paid from VRBO. I got no extra money. This was the first bad experience with a guest. I am surprised that it happened with a family four adult and two children booking. With a friendly guy upfront. Justin is very friendly upfront. If we make a mistake we correct it immediately. And it will happen that we make a mistake. We really try to avoid it. If something might not be perfect, we need a chance to see what disturb the guest, get access and fix it immediately. Justin gave us no access. We were not allowed to see. Our vacation manager does a great job. He send staff on a saturday evening within one hour to the guest. Our vacation manager is one of the best and honest persons I know. He really takes care.

Not being at all familiar with Anna Maria Island we lucked out when we selected the island as our destination for a two month stay and the home at Bermuda Bay was perfect for the two of us as well as for several visits from family members. The home is very well equipped, freshly renovated, spotless and perfectly located directly across from the beach. Many attractions and several great restaurants are located within walking distance and those that are a bit further away are easily accessible on the Island Trolley Bus. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub and the sunsets from the balconies were spectacular. The local management company were extremely helpful and we took advantage of their business centre on several occasions. The owner was very attentive and helpful. We have rebooked for 2014.
