About the property

Come experience a true Wisconsin vacation in this recently renovated and newly furnished home. This one acre property sits directly on the shore of Lake Benedict, a hidden gem and one of the states most desirable lakes. Fishing, swimming, boating or just relaxing on the beach are all right out your back door. A 10' fishing boat, paddle boat, canoe, and 2 stand-up paddle boards are included. There are several golf courses nearby including one directly across the lake. Guests are also welcome to use the 'bear cave' cottage next to the main house which comes equipped w/ a large gathering room overlooking the lake as well as a cozy den and kid's play room. In the evening, you can venture out to the many nearby restaurants or better yet, just grill out and gather the family around the fire.

Besides being right on Lake Benedict, it is also next door to Powers lake, 5 minutes from Twin Lakes, and 15 minutes from downtown Lake Geneva and all of its fine amenities. Ideal for those living in Chicago, it is only an hour and a half from downtown and less than an hour from the north shore.

Wintertime families can enjoy ice skating on the lake with kids or even try ice fishing!

Favorite Lakehouse Retreat

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I took Memorial Day Weekend away from the city of Chicago. Luckily we were able to connect with Jason (owner) and Sonia. Two incredible hosts. The little things they have done to the property and do for their guests is second to none. We felt like we were at home right when we entered the property. Close to chicago, private lake setting, shallow waters for the kids to play in, beach area, firewood, comfortable furniture, plenty of space, etc. don't sleep on this place. I know we'll be back. Kids are already asking to go back next weekend. Thanks Jason / Sonia!! Much appreciated. Great spot!

Excellent Rental

  • 5 of 5

We've been renting from VRBO for over 8 years, and this is one of the best. Beautiful house, huge lot with lots of privacy, and plenty to do. The owners even left us a smores gift basket. Best stocked kitchen we've ever had, and everything was nice and clean. It's a great area, close to plenty of other things to do, including Lake Geneva. Would recommend this place to anyone. We may even have to come back again. Thanks to Jason and Sonya for the great vacation.

Amazing House with Great Views, Tons of Space!

  • 5 of 5

Stayed for a 3-day weekend, and nobody wanted to leave! The place was bright and roomy, tons of space for everyone to spread-out and relax, both in-doors and out. The boats and paddle boards that were in the garage were widely enjoyed. The Bear Cave was a great touch and was a perfect setting for a Sunday morning Bears game.. the only thing that would have made the weekend better would have been a Bears win! Overall fantastic weekend. Thanks again Jason & Sonya!

We just returned from a week with the family at this beautiful lake home. Wonderful accommodations, very clean, plenty of room to spread out, every amenity provided. Lots of water "toys" for all ages . Fire pit at the beach made for perfect evening campfires and s'mores making. Sand beach and shallow water off the dock was a plus for small children. This was a great place for the family to gather and we had a super vacation together.

Nice quiet area

  • 3 of 5

Nice clean place .. Driveway very steep , so beware .. Beach Area .. Roomy with a very nice Fire Pit . Sand when going in the water is almost like you are sinking into mud .. not a great feeling on your feet . . bit disappointed .. water had a lot of algae .. nice canoe and paddle boat along with plenty of sand toys in which we added to the bunch . Nice TV up stairs .. beds were nice .. bathrooms were decent with plenty of hot water .. Nice outdoor shower and deck with a New Gas Grill .. We had to fill the Tank on arrival .. Owners give you plenty of fire wood for Pit .. They also have some games for kids .. we left a puzzle for entertainment ..Not a lot of spices for cooking , so bring your own . My wife had said the home had a moisture in it that I did not notice as much except for the paper napkins (good quality one ) seemed moist when left out of it's packaging in the kitchen . The floor tile was raised a bit in area near the kitchen table so beware not to stub a toe . Very friendly owners to address your needs .

I would not stay there again do to the mud like feeling on the feet upon entering the water and all over the water area. That was a big issue for the six of us .. 4 adults and 2 kids ..

A Beautiful Home

  • 5 of 5

My girlfriends and I just spent the weekend in this lakefront home. First off Jason, the homeowner, was wonderful to work with and very quick to respond to any questions we had prior to our stay. This home is lovely. It is extremely clean and well kept. The decor is very cozy with a lake house nautical feel. There is plenty of space in this home and we loved the flow of the home. We were pleased to find the home well equipped with everything you would need for your stay. A big bonus for us was the very nice linens and towels...not the cheap stuff you often find in other rentals but instead all very soft and new. Although we did not use the boat house or "bear cave" we all commented on how wonderful it was that those were available for use. I personally would love to bring back my family to vacation at this home again in warmer weather where we can use the vast amounts of beach toys, floats, paddle boat and even a nice fishing row boat. The beach here is very clean and shallow, perfect for families with young children. The lake is also very clean and quiet. We loved that Lake Geneva was so close to the home (less then 15min away) so we could go and spend an afternoon of shopping. Bottom line this home is new, clean and beautiful. We can't wait to come back again and again!
