About the property

Our reviews speak for themselves.

This house is a crowd pleaser! Holly House, which was completely renovated in 2012, is located in in one of Missoula’s most popular neighborhoods nestled between Mount Jumbo and Greenough Park. This versatile house is perfect for family gatherings or even business retreats, yet comfortable and cozy for just a couple. Convenient to both the University of Montana and downtown (about 1 mile from both), this unique 4 bedroom, two bath home will impress you with its comfort and style. It boasts an open floor plan, in-floor radiant heat, beautiful woodwork, maple floors, and a fully appointed cook’s kitchen with stainless steel appliances, custom cabinets and granite countertops. Enjoy morning coffee on your covered front porch or the great back deck, where you can gaze up at wildlife, hikers, and para-gliders on Mount Jumbo.

Kid-friendly, without sacrificing style, the house can sleep 8-10 people. The open floor plan makes it easy to accommodate large groups for meals. Extra tables and chairs create the perfect set up for a family gathering or group meeting. The bedrooms offer a real sense of privacy. Guests always comment that everyone has their space in this house. The large private master suite has a king-size bed, and a lovely master bathroom with custom cabinets, marble tile, and a large walk-in closet. The second spacious bedroom has a queen-size bed, as well as queen-size pull out couch and great views of Mount Jumbo and the garden. The third bedroom provides two comfortable twin-sized beds. There is also a beautifully tiled full bathroom. All towels, linens, and soap are provided.

Kids will particularly love the fourth bedroom, the loft, which has two skylights that look out on the mountain and two twin beds. A great selection of children’s books awaits as does a TV with Apple TV and DVD player, an array of family friendly DVDs, and cozy beanbags and some fun toys. This house was designed by parents with the needs of family in mind. We know that when you are vacation it is nice to have a little break from the kids. This fantastic upstairs space does just that! On warmer days a free standing air conditioner will keep the loft comfortable. The master bedroom and main living area also have built in air conditioning.

Eclectic modern art adds character to the house. The open floor plan includes a dining area, as well as a cozy living room with flat-screen HD TV with Apple TV featuring both Netflix and Hulu, and DVD player. There is also wireless internet access. Finally, there is a laundry room with brand-new front-loading washer and dryer (and laundry soap), plus an ironing board and iron.

This house is sure to please year-round. You will feel part of Missoula’s friendliest neighborhood close to wonderful playgrounds, magical Greenough Park and Rattlesnake Creek. Hike or bike to the University, downtown to the farmer’s markets, enjoy the wonderful selection of shops, coffee-houses, restaurants, and art galleries. Hike up Mt. Jumbo, or Rattlesnake Wilderness. Take the kids to the Missoula Children’s Museum, to the carousel, or for a swim in the Clark Fork River. In the winter, enjoy skiing at nearby Snowbowl, or a number of local cross-country ski-areas. An endless number of day trips will round out a great vacation is the Garden City. Please note that parties or events at the house are limited to no more than 20 people.

Perfect spot in Missoula!

  • 5 of 5

Our extended family of 5 stayed at Holly House to cheer on my daughter in her first marathon.

Holly House was perfect for us. For starters the house is extraordinary. Beautifully appointed , and ample space for all. The home is set in a lovely residential area in the shadow of Jumbo mountain. I sat on the front porch in the afternoons to read. You could not find a better host than Erin. She provided us with great tips about what to do in Missoula that helped to make our trip extraordinary. She even followed up with ideas for our next stop in Glacier. Her enthusiasm for Missoula was contagious and had me considering a return visit.! A great spot.

Great, family friendly space!

  • 5 of 5

This is a great, spacious and family friendly house - we’ve rented it two years in a row because it meets our needs so well. Three college friends and spouses, with 5 children under 5, reunited here for a long weekend while some of us caught a Griz football game. The upstairs loft was a wonderful play space for the older children! Toys, books, and pack and play and baby chair available also made entertaining small children easier. Another two couples and a child joined us for dinner there one night, and we still had plenty of space for all to eat and visit. We mostly ordered takeout to minimize some mess, but the kitchen seemed well stocked with anything you’d need to cook a full meal. Easy access from the interstate, and to the University and the rest of Missoula for dining and shopping.

Missoula at her best

  • 5 of 5

Holly House is beautifully renovated, spacious and comfortable. The setting is lovely, with Mt Jumbo out back and Greenough park trails easily accessed. The kitchen makes cooking for a large family easy, with all the right implements. The bedrooms are large, and beds very comfortable. The open floor plan enabled us all to gather around the cook. We had a great stay and would definitely come back again. Can't say enough about it!

The house was perfect for our family's needs.

  • 5 of 5

The property is beautiful, convenient, and well-kept. The owners were extremely responsive to our needs. We were in town for our son's wedding. The Holly House was perfect for our family's stay, wedding flower production, football watching, and even an impromptu pre-wedding dance party. I would highly recommend the Holly House.
