Dream house on the beach!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I celebrated our anniversary at this condo about two months ago - and we are still thinking about it! Everything about this villa and Kiawah was just wonderful. We got to the villa right as the evening sun was coming through the windows in the living and dining rooms... it was truly magnificent and we couldn't believe this was where we were going to get to stay for a week! The kitchen was fully stocked and we cooked all of our meals - breakfast, lunch and dinner - at the condo. We ate our meals at the dining room table which is right next to HUGE windows overlooking the lagoon. We felt like we were on a private island! The couches are very comfortable and the living room was very bright in the morning, perfect for a morning cup of coffee! We brought our chrome cast and watched movies every night on the TV. The bed upstairs was very comfortable and the bathroom was the nicest we've ever had in somewhere we rented. Best of all, this condo is only a short walk to the beach. We brought our bikes to ride to the grocery store, so we didn't have to get in the car all week!

It was an absolute dream. The ONLY thing worth mentioning is that there were no curtains in the dining room and living room windows; this was not a big deal at all, but just since the windows are so big we felt a little weird after the sun went down that maybe people could see in. But again, in light of all of the other wonderful things, this was hardly an issue. We definitely hope to return next summer!

Kiawah Island Gem

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I rented this 2-bedroom condo/villa the first weekend in December. We could not have been more pleased with the accommodations. The layout of the villa is awesome with wide open spaces downstairs that makes if fun to cook, eat dinner, and hang out together. Everything was clean as can be and all amenities were just as advertised. We did not see a single bug or ant during our stay. The villa is located across the street from the beach (through a parking lot) and also is just a short walk to the resort. It is situated on a quiet, peaceful pond/lake with many other units. At night, we went for a flashlight stroll across the lake on the pedestrian path and encountered a night heron I believe that flew right by us! It was quite a sight & startling sound! My wife nearly jumped out of her shoes while I held back the laughter. All in all, I'd recommend this villa to anyone visiting the island. We are planning to stay here again next time we return for sure. Affordable luxury.

Kiawah Villa

  • 4 of 5

Very nice villa with 2 exceptions. 1) The Live television box was very frustrating to use. Often it would not connect, and when it did it would stop working. Also takes too much time when changing channels. 2) You could not leave anything out on the counters without putting food in zip lock bags due to ants. They converged immediately on/in food and glasses.

Owner's Response: We have reviewed the above comments and have these observations. In terms of ants or bugs, we strive to maintain our villa as a "bug free zone". However, all properties in coastal Carolina are subject to these type of issues. We do have a pest service in Kiawah who are on call if a problem arises. However, we can only request off cycle treatments if we are told there is an issue. These visitors never informed us of the ant issue even though we clearly state that we are available via phone 24 hrs a day. Had we been informed, we could have had someone address the issue. In terms of the television, the comment above is inaccurate. The "Live Television" never freezes. We provide both basic cable (for which there is no issue with live TV), and we offered a streaming television service for premium channels to the people staying in our villa. Given the technical issues relating to streaming a high definition signal over the internet, the signal would sometimes freeze. Also due to the data involved in a high definition signal, the channel change response time was slow. We have discontinued providing this option, so there are no problems with the television signals available to be viewed.

We have rented several places at Kiawah and I would have to say that this condo was our favorite. It has been recently renovated and is beautifully decorated. The beds are very comfortable and the kitchen is well stocked. The condo was also extremely clean. Very short walk to beach. We had a minor problem with the TV (which we caused) and had to email the owner. She got back to us right away. I highly recommend this property!
