Amazing property and a great experience overall! The VRBO map was a little misleading so we thought we could walk to the beach, but we enjoyed exploring the bus :)
Would definitely recommend to anyone!
Couldn’t Ask For Better
Villa Cybelle was wonderful! The Veranda was our favourite spot from coffee in the morning to nightcap with the crickets and the tree frogs in the evening. Weather was fabulous with trade winds and short rain showers. Accommodation was larger than we needed and met most of our needs. (would recommend stocking a few spices and condiments.. Private pool, grounds at gazebo were superior. Would recommend stocking a few spices and condiments. The staff, Mello and Gero , were very pleasant and helpful! Enjoyed our time at the Villa more than the tourist attractions.
The best of all options
Ginger Suite was a great choice for my husband and me on our first trip to St. Lucia. Since it is located in a residential area, we were able to get a feel for "local living" while still having convenient access via car to some great swimming and snorkeling beaches, wonderful restaurants, and shopping. The suite is spacious, quiet, well lit and contains everything needed for a comfortable stay. All you need to do is bring your clothes! Since driving on the left side of the road around hairpin turns is not normal practice for most Americans, it was great to have access to a trusted driver to go out for dinner in the evenings. Speaking of food, don't miss the Pink Plantation (charming, rustic but difficult to find so get good directions!) and the Coal Pot (for a quiet, romantic meal) - reservations required for both. Helpful, responsive hosts. Friendly greeter/watch dog named Buddy. Nice pool with beautiful views. Very enjoyable overall!
Beautiful spacious & stylish villa, close to local market and beaches
We came to stay at Don and Cybelle’s villa with our 10month old daughter in February and had a really wonderful time. Don had arranged for a very good value ($75US) taxi to collect us from the Intl. airport and once we arrived we found a lovely cot already prepared for our baby to sleep in. The villa is excellent for crawling babies and adults alike! The pool is beautiful (if a little chilly in the mornings!) and the kitchen is well stocked with cooking appliances. Don & Cybelle we’re very helpful, getting back to my emails promptly and providing us with local knowledge and suggestions. They even very kindly bought us some starter groceries so there was food available when we arrived after our long flight. I would definitely recommend staying here. My only suggestion for the owners would be to consider getting a small bbq for the villa as we were really craving bbq chicken!! (But obviously this is just a silly little extra!) Thanks so much Don, Cybelle, Indi and Melo!
Beyond our Expectations!
The same as previous reviews:
Great location with amazing views.
Excellent accommodations and amenities- especially the pool.
Wonderful hosts - Don, Cybelle, Inde, Melo and Buddy all get gold stars for friendliness and helpfulness!
Driving is an adventure - including to the house. A jeep/Jimny is highly recommended for mode of transport as the hills are steep. There's no chance of walking to restaurants or for groceries.
Don't miss lunch at the Mango Tree at Stone Field Resort in Souffriere (Cybelle's family resort).
Awesome Property, Awesome People
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the Ginger Suite. Don was super responsive to all questions I had before arrival and was just as responsive while we were there. He even provided beach chairs, beach towels, and a cooler for us to use during our 9 day stay. We rented a car, so we were able to make good use of the items because our itinerary consisted of visiting different beaches every other day to snorkel or just hang out. The other days were spent site seeing around the island. We cooked two of our three daily meals in the Villa and there is a grocery store located about a five to ten minute drive away.
As other reviews have stated everyone from the owners to Melo, the grounds keeper to Buddy the dog were super nice. Buddy would visit each morning when we opened the doors to our unit and then each evening when we returned to the Villa; sometimes just hanging out with us on the porch. The owners are always there when you need them, but the unit is very private.
The bed was so comfortable and there was plenty of hot water, which felt so nice after a long day in the ocean. A power converter was also provided so that we could use our US appliances and charge cords.
Villa Cybelle is nestled along a hillside in a small upscale community overlooking La Toc beach. The property has fantastic views of the entire northwest coast of the island and the island of Martinique. The neighborhood is very quiet and serene. The villa is secluded, very spacious and perfect for families, groups of friends or couples. 10 minutes away from Pointe Seraphine duty free shopping and local Castries markets.
