Beautiful cozy property perfect for a couple!
We loved this property. It was tucked away from the bustle of the neighborhood and had a lovely garden. Perfect for a quick visit!
A pretty, peaceful getaway in the heart of Newport
We stayed for 5 nights as part of our honeymoon and loved this place! The hosts Jenny and Bill are kind, thoughtful and responsive. They even bought us a bottle of local wine to congratulate us on our marriage!
The location is perfect with peace and privacy somehow nestled into an optimal location only a short walk away from downtown. The cottage is tastefully decorated and well stocked with an excellent selection of books, travel guides to the area, and even a tv with Chromecast.
Definitely consider this place on your next visit to Newport. It's a hidden gem that my wife and I will love to come back to!
Cozy home away from home!
We just stayed for 5 nights, during the Volvo Ocean Race, and really enjoyed it!
Bill and Jenny are very responsive and helpful. They've lovingly renovated a quaint (well decorated) cottage that feels really comfortable and homey. It's cozy and the room flow works well. They've tried to provide almost everything you'll need for your stay.
The cottage sits in a quiet setting (no views but it's very quiet). The location is convenient and you have a dedicated parking space. It's a short walk to town for food (loved the White Horse Tavern) and the water, where you can catch boat ferries to other dock areas. The busy restaurant area on Thames is a 10 minute drive and the Mansions are 5 minutes from there.
The weather was cool and rainy during our stay, so we were able to enjoy the comfort of the place as we relaxed. If you're a reader, you'll be in heaven. There's tons of books. The kitchen is set up well for cooking and entertaining visiting guests. There's also a nice back yard area.
This place delivers. We would definitely stay here again!!
A quiet and cozy place that’s close to everything Newport has to offer!
Jenny and Bill were amazing hosts for my extended stay. The house is tasteful artistic in style and decor. Picture perfect! It is a comfortable place to enjoy Newport (especially the restaurants). I can’t wait to return!
Host was easy to communicate with and answered all of our questions quickly. Check in and check out was also very easy. House was perfect for us with plenty of room for two adults. Clean and nicely decorated. Great outdoor space. Location is close to restaurants and shops with a very easy walk. Mansions and Cliff Walk are about a 10min drive. We had a great stay!
Thank you so much for staying in the cottage - we're happy to hear you had a good time and enjoyed your stay! Thank you also for leaving the house so clean and tidy! We hope you'll come back and stay with us again in the future.

Great cottage, perfect location
I was in Newport for work for a few weeks and this cozy, well located little cottage was the perfect home base. The cottage is well appointed and felt like a home away from home. The Broadway neighborhood with plenty of restaurants, coffee shops and bars was a perfect escape from the throngs of tourists in historic Newport. The quiet neighborhood, lovely gardens and wi-fi access made it easy to get my work done and the location -- walkable to downtown and the waterfront -- made it easy to access water taxis to festivals on the weekends. I would definitely recommend staying here and would do it again in a heartbeat.
So glad you enjoyed your stay with us! You were the perfect guest. We hope that you come back again soon!
