This property has been family owned for over40 years and is maintained accordingly. The owner lives on the property full time. She recently moved back to San Pedro from her last position in San Francisco because of her love for this quiet seaport village town.

I couldn't give 4.5 stars or I would have...the only issue was two flights of outdoor stairs, that w luggage and stuff was a bit tiring and hot...but except for that all was pretty much PERFECT...the landlord lives downstairs, showed is thru the property when we got there, sent us to NIKOs for a nice late dinner after a day at Knotts Berry Farm....easy to get in and out of the area...was my wife, daughter (14yo) and I, has sofabed and two single beds and another bed in a side room...was perfect for us....fairly quiet, some noise from demolition next door, but not til later in the morning and barely noticeable.....very close to Catalina excursions, beaches all very close....if we hit the same area again we would stay again for sure...Thanks Ellen from the Decker family

The apartment was lovely! It was in a great location and had great views of the Los Angeles Port and the mountains. Would recommend it and certainly return!
We stayed here for about 5 days. Property is exactly as shown in pictures, clean and you can tell a lot of love has gone into the place. It has a lovely terrace and we had enough room for 2 adults and 2 kids to stay without a problem. The owner was very helpful. Will stay again!
This comfortable studio has tremendous views of Los Angeles Harbor, easy access to Southern California amenities and attractions and proximity to walks, running and cycling along the waterfront and the gorgeous Palos Verdes Peninsula. Visiting Catalina Island is a treat. All in all, this is a great base for exploring Southern California.
I have stayed in this San Pedro property twice, once alone and once with my husband. It is lovely, and the view of the L.A. Harbor from the deck is simply beautiful, especially at night (see photos). It is very well-maintained and comfortable for sleeping, cooking, relaxing and general living. I could spend a week or a winter here easily (great weather in summer too, being so close to the ocean). One of my favorite rooms for reading is the sun room off the kitchen. The owner is a delightful person who lives on the first floor of the three-story building. She has lovingly furnished and equipped this apartment and cares deeply about the building and the community of San Pedro, the harbor of Los Angeles. She's a great source for information on the area. You are about a half hour to the attractions of L.A. and probably 45 minutes to Disneyland, etc. in Orange County, depending on the ever-present Southern California traffic, of course. Not far from LAX, either. San Pedro is a quiet residential (and historical) community that has some nice ethnic restaurants and a world class resort on the ocean just 10 minutes away -- Terranea on the Palos Verdes Peninsula, a great place for lunch or dinner. A plus to this property is free parking. One thing to be aware of -- it's up three flights, so if you have mobility problems, this could be an issue. On the other hand -- great daily exercise ... and it's a wonderful neighborhood to walk, also. I would highly recommend the property. And if you are starting or ending a cruise departing/arriving San Pedro or nearby Long Beach, this is the perfect place for a few days of relaxation. We actually watched our ship leave the harbor from the property's deck several hours after we arrived on a cruise from Sydney, Australia. That was a bonus we hadn't expected!
We have stayed at this property for approximately one month for each of the past three years. The listing desription is entirely accurate. The apartment is nicely furnished, very clean and well maintained with a great view of the ocean and the Port of Los Angeles. It is a good base for seeing Los Angeles, altough you will need a car to get to the beach or downtown L.A. San Pedro has a number of good nearby restaurants. The owner could not be more helpful and accommodating. We recommend this apartment most highly.
San Pedro overlooks the port of Los Angeles, with major cruise ships departing from this port. San Pedro has so much more to offer, only a short 20 mile drive to downtown Los Angeles with attractions in Hollywood, Chinatown, LA County Museums, and Griffith Park Observatory. In the other direction approx. 30 miles is Disneyland, Knotts Berry Farm plus, several public golf courses nearby of this charming seaport town. From the outside deck of this 3rd floor hideaway, you can watch the cruise ships enter and leave the port and enjoy beautiful city lights views. Near to the Palos Verdes Peninsula and beach cities.

Top floor unit with three flights of stars to climb but once there the views of L.A. Harbor is incredible. Nightly rate is $100.00 but on extended stays (30 days) we extend a 20% discount.
All reservations are confirmed upon receipt of an earnest money deposit of $200.00. On extended stays of 30 days or more, a larger deposit will be required.
