KONA ISLE is an oceanfront complex on Alii Drive of seventy-four one bedroom units on nicely landscaped grounds with lots of open space. This clean, fresh and comfortable, recently remodeled Condo is on the third floor (top floor) of the oceanfront Building D, #D-33, north side of the pool. NO elevator, but the stairs are easy. This is a NO SMOKING property. No Smoking anywhere on Kona Isle grounds including the lanai's. It is completely furnished with ALL amenities. There is a queen size bed in the bedroom, a double bed folding foam mattress may be used in the living room on request.
Watch the dolphins and whales as they cruise by, boats trolling past and the waves, oh the waves, crashing in front of your lanai. Beautiful sunsets daily with cooling ocean breezes and ceiling fans for your comfort. A fully stocked convenience store with deli, beer, wine, newspaper, etc. is 100 yards away. Wireless Internet access is now available in the library. Because everyone seems to have a cell phone and WIFI laptops the telephone landline has been disconnected.
Town is one and a half miles (5-6 min) to the north with shopping, restaurants, movies, etc.. 3 miles (10-12 min) to the south is the shopping center of Keauhou with similar services.
We live here on the Big Island. Our kids were all born and raised here. It's a great place to visit and an even greater place to live.

This property has 'old Hawaii' charm, is well located off the road and is right on the ocean.
Daily sun into the ocean sunsets with waves breaking on the rocks right in front as you barbeque your dinner.
As always, David had the condo well stocked and ready to go. We will be coming back again next year for our third consecutive month long trip in February. One warning, once you sit out on the deck watching/hearing/smelling the ocean, you may not want to go anywhere else!
We have stayed at condos on Kauai, Maui, Oahu and now the Big Island for the first time. This was the best location, view of the ocean, and most fully stocked condo yet. David, the owner was very warmly welcoming. Brian, the onsite manager was very helpful (and very busy keeping the property look nice and tidy). We enjoyed time exploring the entire island, and especially liked the beach at Mauna Kea, about 30 minutes away. This unit is close to town, has a reserved parking spot and geckos to greet you on the staircases! There is no air conditioning, but lots of fans that kept the condo airy and cool. The oceanfront barbecues were so nice and kind of a meeting place to connect with other residents/visitors. The pool was delightful and clean. Every picture of this place is exactly as it looks online EXCEPT as a bonus Wifi is actually available in the unit and both TVs are upgraded to flatscreens (not in the pix currently). If you like the Big Island, this is the place to stay! Mahalo
Stayed in this condo for two months and had a absolutely wonderful time . David came by the second day to ensure all of our needs were attended to. We have stayed at the Kona Isle before in a different condo ,but David's was far and away the best , just the view itself is worth it and your in Hawaii (the best weather on the planet) , came home to 3 feet of snow . We''ll be back again in 2014 for maybe a bit longer as my wife left heel marks on the runway as we left Kona. My wife and I had the pleasure of staying here and have nothing but excellent things to say about our experience. David and Elaine strive to ensure that everything is taken care of - nothing was overlooked whatsoever. The unit is fully furnished with everything you could possibly need to enjoy time on the Big Island. Enjoying sunset drinks on the full oceanfront-view lanai are lasting memories that keep us planning our return visit one day.
This Kona Isle location is the perfect spot to spend your Kailua-Kona vacation. A short drive up Ali'i Drive to downtown and all the amenities. Even a reasonable walk or run if you are Iron. Fantastic sunsets from the Lanai or the private beach with palm trees and crashing waves. The outdoor amenities of Kona Isle are superb, multiple gas grills, even lighted for nighttime dining. The public saltwater pool next door is a great place to meet friendly locals. This lovely condo is furnished in the perfect Hawaiian way. Also, lots of Kona reading material to help plan your adventures. We drove up to Mauna Kea and Hapuna golf (only 32 miles) 3 days. Recommend Mauna Kea or Hapuna state beaches too. Do not miss Hawi and the zip-lining adventures. Having your own washer and dryer was a godsend. I think this specific condo has the best Western views of all of the Kona Isle units and it is very private. We will rent this condo again next time. Mahalo. Rob
