A cozy and luxurious suite is the ground floor of our early 1900's Edwardian style house in one of S.F.'s most desirable, safe and upscale neighborhoods, West Portal with private, gated entry and beautiful garden. Features one bedroom with queen poster bed - one full custom tiled bath with Jacuzzi - Brazilian cherry hardwood throughout, convenient kitchenette - continental breakfast included. Plentiful street parking and complimentary driveway parking available, please inquire. We are conveniently located 1/4 block to West Portal Village and public transportation located at "The Twin Peaks Tunnel." Here you can enjoy any of our wonderful, authentic restaurants, coffee houses and pubs or take any inbound streetcar to downtown S.F to any of your travel destinations.

We are west S.F. close to Ocean Beach / SF Zoo / Harding Golf Course. BART, The Moscone Center, Union Square, Cable Cars, Chinatown, The Piers/Ferry Building, Alcatraz, Fisherman's Wharf, Ghiradelli Square, AT&T Baseball Park, are 10-15 minutes by streetcar, 5 minutes to the freeway, a 15 minute route from SFO. BART can be taken directly from SFO to West Portal. Golden Gate Park, UCSF Med Center/Hospital, S.F. State University, Stonestown Shopping Mall are 1-2 miles accessible at the Tunnel. An extensive binder with maps, restaurants and guidance how to get around the city is provided. Owners live upstairs.

What makes this house unique

There were originally two houses built in the West Portal area in the early 1900s, ours still proudly stands, the other was destroyed. This house has survived numerous earthquakes.

We loved our stay on this cute street. The garden is absolutely amazing and we actually enjoyed the rain ! It never rains where we are at. Though our trip was cut short for work, we really enjoyed our time staying here. The location is very good within walking distance to transit, restaurants. We definitely will recommend your place to our family and friends and would stay here again. Thank you,

Calm "port" in chaotic city

Located 10-15 minute by underground streetcar Muni ride to downtown and waterfront this charming abode was a haven of respite from the big city (And I live In Toronto:)The beautiful garden with patio furniture provided a layer of peaceful space ,fresh cool air and chirping birds while travelling with my adult daughter.The West Portal area itself was great for hill walking and home gazing , ethnic restaurants and a middle eastern marketeria and Safeway store 7 blocks away.The bedroom was cozy with very comfy bed,nice kitchenette and amazing large tiled bathroom with jacuzzi and shower.The hosts provided a wonderful looking entertainment centre (did not use) and many brochures,maps,menus,books of the West Portal area and San Fran.Continental breakfast and Keurig coffee maker/pods were provided daily as was washing up of dishes.Blinds and shutters provided ample light block and everything was aesthetically pleasing .There was no need for a/c as temps dipped to the 50's in the evening and the fog rolled in.Private entry with keypad and tall wooden gate provided security .I would definitely recommend this VRBO!

We loved the small apartment, West Portal Cozy Garden Suite. It is absolutely amazing that West Portal is only a short block away. Couldn't ask for better location. Good restaurants within walking distance, and the garden was quietly isolated and lovely for an evening glass of wine. You do need to remember, however, that the kitchen is tiny, with only a microwave and small refrigerator. Linda does provide a tasty light breakfast. Enjoyed our stay and loved San Francisco.

Beautiful apartment!

I had a great stay in this gorgeous rental; the description is accurate and the place was spotless. It was nice to have access to the courtyard, which was super cute. The neighborhood is a bit off the beaten path, but it's also very close to public transportation. The breakfast treats were a lovely touch (and tasty too!). I was traveling solo this time, and felt totally safe in both the apartment and neighborhood. Would definitely recommend this place to friends, and will keep it in mind for future trips to SF!

Just Right!

We truly enjoyed our stay at this property. It was just right for two people. The location was convenient to mass transit, the little West Portal "downtown" with restaurants, bars, a few shops and free street parking near the house. (Well, free with one exception - a ticket for parking on the wrong side of the street on a street cleaning day ugh - yea I know - "read the signs"!) Linda was awesome and patient with answering my pre-arrival questions and helpful with suggestions on sightseeing logistics. Overall it was a great experience! We would definitely come back and/or recommend the suite to our friends!

Lovely suite, great location.

Lovely place. Excellent location for using public transportation and we found navigating San Francisco public transit pretty easy. Enjoyed the coffee/tea and treats in the morning! Loved having a nice tv with dvr! Also very nice to have some outside space to relax. Enjoyed the jacuzzi tub in beautiful bathroom. Comfortable bed. Would recommend!
