Liverpool's Cultural Heritage: The architecture is world-class, with more listed buildings than any city outside London. The heart of the city and its waterfront sit proudly alongside treasures like the Taj Mahal and Pyramids at Giza as a World Heritage Site.
Many gems of the National Museums Liverpool fall within the heritage site. The refurbished World Museum Liverpool and Walker Art Gallery are housed in this part of town, while the Tate Liverpool and Merseyside Maritime Museum have their homes on the waterfront, at the Albert Dock.
Our city's areas of interest extend far beyond this however. Liverpool boasts two cathedrals which are major attractions in their own right. The Anglican Cathedral and the Metropolitan Cathedral are fine examples of internationally recognised architecture.
If you're looking for theatres in Liverpool, choose from the Everyman and Playhouse, Unity and Empire theatres for a range of contemporary, classic and touring productions.
Liverpool's Musical Heritage: Liverpool Rocks!
You will find traces of The Beatles at nearly every turn in modern Liverpool. But don't overlook their many predecessors, like Britain's first great rock'n'roller Billy Fury, or their contemporaries in the 1960s Merseybeat movement that would revolutionise pop culture. Musicians as diverse as Echo and the Bunnymen, Frankie Goes to Hollywood and Atomic Kitten have roots in the city.
This summer, the city that The Guinness Book of Records has named as World Capital City of Pop is host to an exciting exhibition dedicated to 60 years of Liverpool music. The Beat Goes On opens at World Museum Liverpool from 12 July 2008 to 1 November 2009. Celebrating 60 years of Liverpool music from The Beatles to The Zutons.
*** For the latest acts, Liverpool Echo Arena is the city's superior venue for concerts and hosts world-famous artists and bands and is only 5 minutes walk from the apartment ***
Liverpool's Sporting Heritage: Sport - along with music - is the beating heart of this city.
Mention the name 'Liverpool' to almost anyone, anywhere in the world, and their almost instant reaction will be 'football'. The Northwest is a hotbed of footballing success, with seven Premiership clubs; the homes of two of them, Everton and Liverpool, are just minutes from Liverpool City Centre.
The Grand National horse race is the world's most-watched sporting event, with an annual audience of 600 million. Haydock Park a premier dual-purpose racecourse, boasting an active and energetic year-round racing calendar that includes both flat and jumping fixtures.
But scratch the surface, and there's a huge range of sports on offer: rugby league continues to rise in popularity, led by St.Helens Saints and Widnes Vikings, while the Liverpool the International Tennis Tournament 2009 attracts some of the world's top tennis talents, and the event is expected to be a major event in the calendar.

Like at home
Ideal for rest, very well connected and perfectly equipped.
Place was well equipped with every thing we needed clean spacious close to all amenities will deffo be back
Queen bed not king and most uncomfortable ever. Could feel springs. Bedding scratchy. Not clean
The outside of the property is very pretty. Interior kitchen nice but rest not so much. Living area not as appeared on site and appeared cheap and sparse. The site advertised a king and two twins and it had the most uncomfortable queen bed we’ve ever slept on. Bedding and pillows were uncomfortable and scratchy. The place did not seem clean. Needs major updating. Tv was poor and no WiFi. The host was great answered all questions and was helpful so I feel bad leaving such a poor rating. However unless the beds and bedding are replaced, it is decorated w more care and the bathrooms more thoroughly cleaned I wouldn’t recommend it.
Living area contains: sofa, 2 chairs, side table, 2 lamps, dining table with 4 chairs. Not sure what else is needed in serviced apartment. Master bedroom is a king. Bedding is replaced regularly although no sure now several weeks later which bedding was on at the time. Leaving all that aside given positives and negatives mentioned 1* seems rather unfair.
Ideal for short break
Layout is ideal for 4 adults on short break. Perhaps ready for freshening up re painting. We were not impressed re streaky mirror, dining table, occasional table, blinds with missing slats, oven cleanliness and sticky work surface around containers. However, we were there early in season and perhaps a deep clean had not been done yet. Bedding, towels etc were lean & fresh and there was plenty of cleaning materials. Fridge freezer was fine though took ages to get oven working as we couldn't find instructions. Owners replied with info. Didn't use George Forman grill as it was very greasy on the outside. Previous occupants obviously didn't follow the info guidelines available in apartment. Small bedroom only has 4 drawers for storage as wardrobe is in larger bedroom.
Superb apartment in great location
This is a superb two bedroom apartment, one with ensuite and one with separate bathroom in a great location only minutes from the Liverpool one shopping experience and yards away from the waterfront. The apartment is superbly equipped with a fully fitted kitchen including dishwasher and a George Forman grill. Very comfotable lounge area with tv and dvd player. I would not hesitate to book this apartment again. Thanks
Great Stay with Family
We are a family of 4 and really enjoyed staying in this apartment. The apartment is in a great area by the river and the complex itself is very nice and secure.
The apartment is also very well equipped and clean.
