The location is quiet yet convenient. The train station is a 5 minute walk. The beach is literally at the end of the street, about a 2 minute walk. Restaurants, shopping, coffee and wine bars are all an easy 5 minute walk. The historical center is an 10 minute stroll down the beach.

I am happy to share my experiences of living in the 5 Terre.
As an Italian-American living in this beautiful place I can offer you a unique perspective of how to get the most out of your trip here.
This property offers so much. It's much more roomy than other
apartments for rent. It offers most modern conveniences, yet
still has charm. The location is quiet yet close to everything you'd
want or need.
Quick walk to the beach and train station and the rest of town. Spacious, clean, cheerful, quirky, and well organized with full kitchen, comfy beds, etc. Gracious and flexible hosts. We had such a nice time here.
Great place to stay. Easy walk to the public beach for a swim. Great restaurants a walk away. Hidden back in a neighborhood, your hear the train but it's not bad. We had trouble with the hot water but it mostly worked. Sleeping was good for 4 people but uncomfortable for the other 2. We were 6 persons. I would stay there again, it's hard with six people. Not a lot to choose from.
This was such a great location for my family. There was 5 of us, all adults. It felt like a home away from home. Amedeo was always very quick in his response and his assistant Oliver was there to show us all the essentials and quick in his responses as well. It was well equipped with all the necessities. We had s very enjoyable time there, swimming, hiking and it was a very quite location yet close to everything. I would highly recommend it and would stay there again and again if I was so lucky yo be able to travel there again. I would only add one comment that would be a slight negative and that would be the mattresses could be of better quality and could be more comfortable than they were. But a small price to pay for the overall experience.
I fully enjoyed my stay at Amedeo's apartment in Monterosso. As advertised the apartment is within 3-4 minutes walk to the beautiful beach of Monterosso where the hiking trail to Levanto starts. The train station is within 5-7 minutes walk too so the location is very convenient. The apartment is airy and bright, clean and equipped with all the basics including utensils in the kitchen. . Amedeo was very friendly and kind in communication throughtout from the booking to departure. 5 star accommodation and highly recommended to anyone visiting Monterosso.
Communication was good and hosts were flexible. Location is nice as it's away from the busy street, yet easy access to the beach and shops in the new-town. There is one parking spot for a small-ish car. However, we had some issues. The shower head sprays everywhere but down, so we mostly held the one from the tub controls. The internet was hit or miss. Seems it would drop out for no reason. There appears to be no heat or A/C in the apartment, which presents a bit of a problem when it's cool outside and especially when traveling with children. There was a small portable heater left in the apartment, which we had to shuffle from room to room. My guess is the apartment would drop down into the mid-50's at night. Too cold for small children who don't understand sleeping under covers.
Removing the trash and recycle is the tenants responsibility. Which is something I don't mind doing, but we stayed in 3 other apartments while in Italy and this was significantly more expensive than the others and provided the least comfort and ammenities.
Kitchen was adequate for cooking simple meals. Beds were typical hard European affair. I would consider staying here again when the weather was warmer and if I couldn't find something less expensive.
We travelled 6 weeks with another couple in Europe. We stayed in 9 places and this is the only one we were unhappy with. It felt old and tired. It was clean at least and the location is fine but that is about all we can say good about it. Dark, no dishwasher which is fine but not dishtowels supplied either! Poor lighting, shower was pathetic, walls need paint. If owner put some TLC into it it'd be fine but would not recommend this place at all.
The area is close to everything including shopping, restaurants, the famous 5 terre hikes, and of course all that the sea has to offer-
swimming, boating, etc.
