About Megan Truzinski and DeeDee Truzinski

We are the Truzinski family and have made Paradise Valley Montana our home. We spent nearly 15 years traveling to Yellowstone National Park to photograph and hike the back country. In 2007 we bought a vacation home in Paradise Valley on the Yellowstone River. We move to Montana permanently in 2011. We have previously lived in CA, OR, WA, and CO, and while those states have much to offer, MT captured our hearts and minds...so much so, we call this 'home'. In 2012 we decided to start a modest vacation rental business to share this magical valley with others.

My wife, Dee Dee, and I have raised two daughters, Megan and Erica. Both are attending Montana State University, Bozeman, a short hour from Paradise Valley. Our spare time is spent hiking and photographing throughout Montana with a special focus on Yellowstone wildlife photography. We know Yellowstone wildlife patterns and behaviors better than 99% of the visitors and would be willing to share our knowledge and expertise with you.

Why Megan Truzinski and DeeDee Truzinski chose Yellowstone

This property is across the road from our larger vacation rental (The River's Edge Rental also on VRBO). Since these bungalow is not 'officially' on the river (you have to walk 100 yards on a private trail to access the river) and they accommodate far fewer guests, we have priced these in the value range. Hotel rooms will cost you near this price and they are not nearly as well equipped, nor do they have the great location.

What makes this bungalow unique

Yellowstone River access, view of Gallatins and Absarokas (views of Emigrant Peak). Private yet accessible.

Comfortable, not too secluded

  • 3 of 5

We enjoyed our time here. We weren't at the bungalow much except for sleeping and breakfast. But so many extras and a little welcome gift that were pleasant surprises to come into...

It was a bit farther than expected (more like 40 min rather than 30 - more when driving at night)

We will stay here again.

This was the first time we have used home away and we were very happy with everything. The Rivers edge bungalow was excellent and working with home away was great. We will use home away from now on when ever we travel.

The unit was in the country, well equipped, peaceful and quiet

  • 5 of 5

I would highly recommend the unit to anyone who wanted to relax after a day of amazing sights in Yellowstone, the people we easy to work with and very accommodating. The unit had everything available and several of the things we forgot to buy at the store. The owners must have lived in the unit for several weeks just to make sure everything you needed was there, great place.

The place is great , nuff said ;)

  • 5 of 5

The place is off the beaten path but they thought of everything . We (wife and I) spent 3 nights there as a stopping point for Montana. We went rafting, took the back roads to Bozemont and of course Yellowstone. We made gourmet meals with the well stocked kitchen. Make sure you check out the night sky for the stars , If it is cloudy wait 10 minutes and it will clear up...
