About Madelyn Bonnot Griffin

We live an hour away near Amherst in Sunderland, Ma and also have a home in New Orleans, my home town, that we also rent. Other than our 5 wonderful, grown kids and entertaining our friends & family, exotic travel is our big passion. Curt is a wildlife biologist that brings him to Botswana annually to work on his elephant projects. I am a broadcaster and also run a Foundation focused on bringing the power of music to underserved kids. We hope you love our home in Lenox as much as we do! It's lovely, peaceful and fun! My daughter Alexandra is our excellent property manager. You will love working with Alex!

Why Madelyn Bonnot Griffin chose Lenox

After a weekend at Kripalu and visits to the UltraWellness Center, I fell in love with Lenox! Its natural beauty, cultural richness, cosmopolitan flare, interesting residents & great restaurants were captivating. Also, it is a health-conscious community and that is very important to us. We had to be here!

What makes this house unique

LOCATION! LOCATION! LOCATION! A short walk to Lenox Town Center with Tanglewood and Kripalu nearby on Lenox's MOST beautiful road. NEWLY renovated, contemporary style with brand new linens and accessories. The Dutch Colonial style is lovely with split doors, arched entries, wood floors. Very peaceful, calm, quiet and SUPER CLEAN with wine awaiting your arrival!

Lovely house in great location with super helpful owner

House is very comfortable and tastefully decorated, in a great location: 5 min walk to Lenox (where there are tons of great shops and restaurants) and 20 min walk to Tanglewood. Very responsive and friendly owner. Highly recommend!

Lovely, great location, everything as described

  • 5 of 5

We stayed for a week and this was a perfect base for the Berkshires - walking distance to Lenox town center. The house was even nicer than we thought it would be, sunny, clean and quiet. The house was well appointed with two bedrooms with queen size beds, a big living room with cable TV and a long couch that could seat 5 people easily, an extra sleeping area with a day bed that was really useful, a lovely screened in patio where we ate breakfast, good A/C, a fully equipped kitchen that we made good use of, a grill (which we didn't use) etc. The host was very responsive by email although this didn't matter much as there were no problems that arose for her to deal with. We would definitely return!

A perfect stay! Highly recommended!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I travel a lot, and we often rent houses to stay with our friends and kids. Madelyn's house (the Dutch house in the Berkshires) is absolutely perfect! It was spotless and very well decorated! We felt welcomed as if we were staying in a 4 stars hotel! The large living room with a nice dining table and adjacent kitchen made it perfect for long dinner and chat with our friends. The study with a day bed was perfect to use as a bedroom for our 3 year old. The 2 bedrooms upstairs have very comfy beds, in which we slept very well!

The location of the house is perfect, close to everything and yet quiet.

Madelyn gave us tons of good tips about places to eat, to shop, and to visit! She is a wonderful host. If we were to come back to the Berkshires, we would definitely stay at her house again!

This house was immaculate and had everything we needed to make us comfortable.

The beds and sheets and towels were scrumptious. It was fall, the leaves were turning, and the walks from the house were great. can't beat the location. you can walk to town!! the hosts were very responsive

to our every need. I give this five stars.

Absolutely Perfect

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I were in between houses and needed a place to stay for a few weeks. The Dutch House in the Berkshires was absolute perfection. Completely comfortable, impeccably clean, and amazingly appointed, we were happy the moment we arrived and hated to leave.

There is a beautiful enclosed porch where we spent our evenings at dinner, or we'd just walk 10 minutes into town. It is close to everything, and quiet at night.

I would recommend it for anyone.

Even better than we expected

  • 5 of 5

The Dutch House in Lenox is simply wonderful. It is roomy, immaculate, comfortable, and in a fantastic location near Tanglewood and not far from Jacob's Pillow. The large enclosed porch off the kitchen is where we ate whenever we weren't indluging ourselves at one of the many nearby restaurants. The owner and her daughter were very helpful and responsive. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
