|Minimum Stay||3 nights|
This beautiful heart of Central London contemporary apartment is offered in excellent condition. It has a kingsize bed.
You'll have a great stay. It is fully furnished with everything ready to provide an enjoyable and comfortable home from home in London. There is free wifi access.
We offer a top location in trendy Fitzrovia, in the heart of the West End, a super central spot with a villagey feel and Georgian architecture. The area was once home to such writers as Virginia Woolf, George Bernard Shaw and Arthur Rimbaud. Today it is a popular and lively neighbourhood with a residential and business mix. The numerous media companies based in the area feed into a vibrant buzz.
There is a good range of shops and a huge choice of delicious restaurants and bars. Tourist London is easily accessible on foot or by tube. Several supermarkets are close by (including a good Sainsburys, Tescos, Marks and Spencers Food Hall and Waitrose isn’t far).
The flat is on an upper level (with lift) and is set out over one floor. It benefits from good natural light. The property is set at the rear of the building (so quiet for sleeping) and overlooks the local landmark, the impressive BT Tower.
The light and bright bedroom (4.1m x 2.9m) has a neutral decor. There is a comfortable kingsize bed, double fitted mirrored wardrobe, chest of drawers and bedside table. There are full-length white curtains and separate blackout blinds.
The living room (3.9m x 2.9m) has large double glazed windows. The room is painted white and has woodstrip flooring. There is a large comfortable sofa that opens to a large double sofabed, flatscreen TV/DVD with freeview, a selection of DVDs and a dining table and chairs.
The living room and kitchen are open plan. The kitchen (2.4m x 2.6m) has plenty of cupboard space and a full range of integrated appliances including microwave, electric oven, hob, coffee machine, dishwasher and washer/dryer. The separate fridge and freezer both have good storage space. Kitchen utensils are provided. There is an iron and an ironing board.
The bathroom has a full-sized bath with power shower unit, handbasin, bathroom cabinet, heated towel rail and WC. The floor is tiled and the walls are partially tiled / partially painted.
This is great opportunity to enjoy a smart, attractive property in an wonderful and safe area. The apartment is in a secure, recently renovated, quiet block with 43 flats in Fitzrovia, W1, bordering Fitzroy Square.
All Central London attractions can be reached easily by foot or by public transport. The British Museum, British Library, Soho, Covent Garden, Oxford Street and Regent’s Park etc are a walk away. We are Liz and Jack. We look forward to welcoming you to London. We manage five holiday let properties in Fitzrovia, central London, as well as many long let properties. We know the area well and can thoroughly recommend it for its central location, great transport links (although you'll probably be mostly on foot as tourist London is very walkable!) and wide choice of bars and restaurants. It's a highly desirable neighbourhood with beautiful architecture and interesting streets. People come from all over London to enjoy some Fitzrovia life. We're lucky enough to be based here and hope to see you here too! We have been letting our properties for the past 8 years. We hope we've perfected a warm and professional welcome. We're very happy to help with questions (before or during your stay) or to tailor any trip to suit your needs so just let us know if there's anything we can do. We look forward to seeing you in London!
Liz purchased this apartment in 2000
The local area is buzzing but the flat is in a quiet street so you get the best of both worlds. There’s a huge array of bars and restaurants in the area, including in nearby Charlotte Street and neighboring Soho. For entertainment, you have Theatreland close by, numerous cinemas, comedy clubs, late night bars, dancing and nightclubs. If shopping appeals, you can shop til you drop in nearby Oxford Street, Regent Street, Covent Garden, Carnaby Street, Camden Market and Bond Street. They are all a walk away. For outside life, neighboring Fitzroy Square is a peaceful and pleasant place to enjoy a sandwich and watch the world go by. Alternatively, it’s a 10 minute walk to Regent’s Park, a wonderful 410-acre open space offering stylish gardens with cafés, rose and wildlife gardens, a boating lake, sports facilities, an open-air theatre and zoo.
Location great; communication with host is excellent. Apartment is comfortable, but had no hair-dryer which would have been a welcome addition.
The apartment and location are perfect for our family of 3. It was just as described in the listing and I'd say much better than the pictures. The place was clean and spotless. Although I had apprehensions regarding the bathroom because it wasn't in the pictures except for the layout, I was very happy to find that the water didn't splash to the floor when we took our showers. My husband is on the tall side and on occasions, we found that in tub and shower combination bathrooms in Europe, the half shower glass panels would not adequately prevent splashing water to the floor. We didn't cook but the kitchen had all the cooking appliances and utensils necessary had we decided to cook.
Location was very central both for sight seeing and to UCL where my husband had to do business. The area is also restaurant central.
Liz was very easy and great to deal with, from the start of our booking until check out. She gave very detailed instructions in getting to the apartment from the airport, keys pick up/checking in, places to visit and how to get there, and checking out.
We'd stay here again or any other property that Liz's rent the next time we are back in London.
Our second stay, of 10 days this time. Spotlessly clean, just enough furniture so as not to clutter, small but suitable hanging space for a short stay, and a decent bathroom (renovated since our last stay here) ticks our list of needs. This flat is very convenient for our purposes - family in north London, many transport options, good local restaurants and pubs within 5 minutes, small but adequate open-till-late supermarkets, an excellent gym within 6 minutes walking distance and a wonderful (Regent's) park. We like to cook our own meals some nights and this flat has good facilities, even a full useful freezer. To have an efficient washer/dryer also saves us time and means we can travel light on clothes. The internet works well for our emailing and occasional skype. The TV is also new (if you actually have time to watch it). Neighbours are a cosmopolitan and friendly lot. Being at the rear of the building and on the 6th floor gives the quiet we like, and good ventilation on some sticky nights. We find this flat really good value.
This flat is located in a great neighborhood. Close to pubs, shopping, restaurants, grocery stores, the Tube, etc. Easy traveling to/from Heathrow and very close to St. Pancras Station (Eurostar).
The owner has put together a handy booklet filled with information on nearby restaurants and shops along with a lot of helpful information on the area.
I have stayed in flats owned by this flat's owner many times over the last few years, close to 9 times by now. Liz is extremely helpful and very easy to work with. Emails/phone calls are answered quickly.
The flat is equipped with everything you need including a washer/dryer and iron/ironing board. Laundromats are extremely expensive in London so having your own machine is wonderful.
The flat is on the back side of the building so street noise was not a problem for me.
Much of central London is within walking distance, Soho, Covent Garden, Regent Street.
The flat is between two Tube stops making everything easily accessible.
I will definitely stay here again.
Everything was as promised, and anything that wasn't was quickly addressed by the owner. Clean, well-maintained, good customer service. I would recommend this place or the owner's other apartments. Walking distance to many sites including British Museum - 3 tube stops within walking distance. Lovely.
Very clean and well tended to. Very quiet. Only improvement suggestion is that sofa is unbelievably uncomfortable to sit on as it is a day bed and very low to floor. Flat is sparsely furnished . Could use better info in flat as to TV channels for news programs. Stay went well.
Great central base offering easy accessibility to tourist London on foot or by tube
