Linda McManmon purchased this house in 1996

Don't look any further.... This is the house you want!
We stayed here for Columbus Day weekend with my 80 year old mom and twin 6 year old daughters. This house is absolutely perfect for everyone. The large windows thru out the house allow the sun to peak in and appreciation for the outside foliage to be seen. Every single bed in the house was extremely comfortable - the high quality linens used and the oh so comfy King bed in master bedroom was unbelievable!
Truly a terrific house!!!
We had a great weekend at Linda's--the house is lovely, clean, and extremely well set up for 4-6 people to spend any length of time. Linda was easy to interact with and made us and our 2 dogs feel very comfortable. We walked several times to downtown Lee (less than a mile), were able to let the dogs out on the gated deck, and walked the dogs on some wooded trails in back that she pointed out. Thanks Linda!
We reserved Linda's home for a perfect family weekend. Linda welcomed us with a personal tour of her home and vegetable gardens. She lives downstairs and takes care of everything personally. Her kitchen and living room space was great for gathering, cooking and spending quality time together. Plus 3 porches to find some quiet. Although the bedrooms were small, they were very comfortable and clean with all the amenities to make us feel at home. The location is terrific - only 15 minutes to Tanglewood and Jacobs Pillow, our must sees in the area. We also visited Edith Wharton's House in Lenox, less than 10 minutes drive. And 5 minutes up the road to a supermarket. A great base to enjoy a Berkshire experience. Thank you Linda for your gracious hospitality and the humongous homegrown zucchini you left at our door.
We love this house and have returned several times. Perfect for the two of us or, this time, four adult children and a baby! The kitchen is fabulous and well stocked. There are many spaces in which to relax and/or eat, including our favorite, a screened in porch. The laundry room was especially handy with a baby on board. The location is great - easy access to Tanglewood and everything else you might want to visit in the Berkshires.
This was the perfect accommodations for 6 adults. The house was large with terrific indoor and outdoor spaces for gathering and relaxing. The house was generously and thoughtfully stocked with many amenities in the kitchen and the bathrooms. Very easy to feel like you were "right at home".
My family (daughter 28, son 26 and husband) planned a weekend in the Berkshires father's day weekend and and Linda's place was a great find. The kitchen and living areas are spacious and well stocked with everything you may need. There are a lot of sleeping area (more than we needed) and the bonus was the well placed quotes around the house. The house is very close to all that the Berkshires has to offer while being a peaceful retreat. After a long hike we decided to eat in and have a relaxing evening Saturday night. However for lunch we enjoyed the Starving Artist Cafe - owned by Linda's daughter!
- Walking distance to downtown Lee, surrounded by trees and hiking trails right through the back yard, we are less than ten minutes to the beautiful grounds of Tanglewood and the Boston Symphony Orchestra, Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival in nearby Becket, as well as Canyon Ranch Spa, Cranwell Spa and Golf Course, Shakespeare and Company all located in Lenox, or remain in town and relax at October Mountain State Forrest or Bear Town State Forrest, hike part of the the Appalachian Trail, sunbath and swim at beautiful Laurel Lake Beach, and finally enjoy an organic meal at the Starving Artist Art Gallery and Cafe' after a hard day's shopping at the Lee's Prime Outlets.
Within a 15 minute drive, visit Stockbridge and the Norman Rockwell Museum, Daniel French's Chesterwood Museum, Berkshire Botanical Gardens, and world famous Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health, and enjoy winter sports at Bousquet Ski Area in Lenox and Ski Butternut in Great Barrington.
