Guestbook comments from the owner

Thank you so much for the use of your home & property in Dixon, IL! My family and I had a very pleasant, relaxing stay. We made so many great memories together. Thank you for thinking of nearly everything we could have needed. The front porch was our favorite spot! Makes me want to add a screened in front porch to our house. We would not hesitate to recommend or rebook your property in the future if we get the chance.

A perfect place for us to enjoy a stay in Dixon!

  • 5 of 5

Lovely cozy place with a real sense of history and beautiful property with many old oak trees. The screened in front porch is set far enough back from the residential street to be private and deer wandered through the front yard!

Very nice, cozy place with nature at the doorstep

  • 4 of 5

We had a family reunion with 48 relatives there for the afternoon and evenings playing games, visiting, eating meals, and enjoying the evenings around the campfires. Deer and turkey visited the property early in the mornings. A very cozy, warm home and peaceful setting all the way around. Hard to tell that there were neighbors with all the quiet. Suited our needs well. House was well kept other than the downstairs bathroom where tub/shower needs some attention. Would definitely stay there again.

We had a great time here! The house is beautiful and the property is magnificent! There are lots of places to wander, and day and night hikes through the wilderness are a lot of fun.

Thanks for your hospitality and we are looking forward to staying there again soon!

Love it!

  • 5 of 5

My friends and I stayed the weekend for the 2nd year in a row. We absolutely love this place. The property is beautiful, even in the winter, and the house is cozy. We've used the weekend to scrapbook and couldn't be happier with the space. Thank you for such a great experience.
