Fully Air-Conditioned Apartment 500 metres to beach with ishared pool and jacuzz

This fully air-conditioned, ground floor apartment has been built and finished to the highest specifications. The master bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with jacuzzi bath and opens onto the enclosed terrace with garden and a view of the solar heated pool. The second bedroom is a twin room leading through patio doors onto the rear terrace. The living area is well equipped with luxury sofas and a solid wood dining table with 6 chairs. There is also a 42 inch LCD TV, digital Satellite receiver with full sky TV channels, broadband wifi, a PlayStation 2, DVD ~(large selection) and CD player with MP3 connection and multi room speaker system. We also have wi-fi at a pay as you go rate. The living area opens onto the gated patio with garden and has a table and chairs and private sun loungers. A short path leads to the jacuzzi and pool. The kitchen is also fully equipped with modern appliances inc. dishwasher and leads onto the rear patio with table and chairs. There is secure underground parking and a private lock box containing beach equipment including chairs parasol etc for our guests use only. The beach is only 500 metres away and the nearest golf course is a couple of minutes drive. Lagos centre is a five minute drive away.

Outside Apartment: The apartment has a patio area to the front with a table and chairs, private sunbeds and a small garden. A gate then leads to the pool area and jacuzzi. The pool/garden area is enclosed by a small wall to keep the facilities private for the use of the apartments. There is also a patio area to the rear of the apartment, again with a table and chairs.

We also have a lock box in the garage with beach chairs, a beach umbrella, a cool box and various beach toys and games for guest use.

Lagos Details: Porto De Mos is a short distance from Lagos. Lagos is a beautiful market town set within one of the largest bays on the Algarve. Lagos is one of the Algarve's oldest and most interesting towns. Within the historic walls there is an abundance of cafes and restaurants along it's cobbled streets. The marina de Lagos offers a touch of elegance with its restaurants, shops, bars and cafes and is also an important yachting centre, where many boating trips can be arranged. Lagos combines both a local and tourist fee, better than anywhere else on the Algarve. There is always a good local presence when you visit this typical Portuguese town.

Why Mrs Sarah-Jayne Bell chose Lagos Town

We bought near Lagos as the town centre and beaches were so beautiful. We fell in love with Porto De Mos beach on an earlier visit and wanted our new home to be as close as possible to that wonderful beach.

What makes this apartment unique

The apartment is in a quiet and peaceful location and is really close to the beach! The apartment also benefits from a full sky TV package and broadband wifi.

Superb!

This was my first visit to Portugal, and I am pleased to say it wont be my last! Nor will it be my last visit to this apartment!

I have stayed in a multitude of places around the world, and dare i say in a few dives. This apartment had not only a wow factor on arrival, but also a very homely feel!

We arrived with the option of using the secure parking (which we did occasionally, more so to keep the car cool), however, we often left the car outside. The area was lovely and quiet and even the families with small children were respectful to how peaceful the surroundings were.

Having been sent our instructions on how to get from the airport to the villa (which were extremely easy to follow), and what to do on arrival, we were soon in! The first thing that you notice is how clean and beautifully presented the villa is, but its not clinical, the rooms were decorated in such a way that it feels homely. Having called into the supermarket on route, which is only a 5 min drive from the villa, we loaded up the fridge and grabbed a bite to eat. Again, we had no trouble, as the cupboards were filled with pots, pans, dishes, the works!

Now, anyone on holiday will tell you, the pool can make or break a visit! I am happy to report, the pool and the the outdoor Jacuzzi were a massive hit! the pool is quiet, so you can enjoy a quiet swim or even just lounge around it in your deckchair with a good book!

Lagos is a fantastic place to visit. The restaurants are in abundance, and the quality across all of them is high. the seafood is beautiful, as you can imagine being on the coast.

We did drive into town from our apartment it was about 10min, and easy to find. There is paid parking which is a couple of euros, but we found some free parking around the back of the Marina! If you are not one for driving, then the taxis are good! We were left a card of a company in the town, they were quick, and when they said a time, they were there! it costs about 6 Euros to get in.

There is so much to do in Lagos, unfortunately we didn't have the time to do it all! We did manage to walk over to the beach from out apartment and we took in the sights of the coast via the sea kayak tour.

It looks like I will have to return and do some more of what Lagos has to offer. Needless to say, I have found a jewel in this apartment, which I will use again and I strongly recommend others do too. You will not be disappointed, whether you' re a family, couple or single!

Would stay again, loved it

I have stayed in Portugal before but never Porto De Mos. Most of the accommodation I have stayed in has been ok but nothing special. I stayed at this apartment in September 2012 with 3 other friends. The apartment is finished to a high standard and it was clean and offered all the home comforts we needed and is the best accommodation I have ever stayed in, in Portugal.

There was information on arrival at the apartment on the services and all of the activities we could do in the area, which we used and ended up sea kayaking one of the days, this was great fun. They had also provided taxi information for those nights we decided not to drive into Porto de Mos which incidentally is only a short ride from the apartment. However, it is far enough away from the town that you can have a really relaxing holiday during the day if you want to.

We only stayed in the apartment one night during our stay but there were plenty of DVDs to watch to keep us entertained and due to the facilities in the kitchen we could prepare a big meal and eat outside on the terrace which we really enjoyed.

Most nights we ventured into the local town. There were loads of different restaurants to choose from and stalls and street entertainers to look at. There are also quite a few bars which become lively a bit later on but they weren’t full of under 21’s so it was a really good atmosphere.

We were lucky that we had glorious sunshine throughout our stay and so made good use of the sunbeds around the pool. The pool area is really clean and the surrounding garden is kept tidy.

We decided to walk down to the local beach on 2 occasions which only took us 5 minutes to do. This is a really nice sandy beach and there is a restaurant on the front so we could have some lunch and a few drinks.

I would definitely stay at this apartment again and would recommend it to friends. I love Portugal anyway but I think I have found a real gem and look forward to having my next holiday there.

You won't go wrong with this place.

We had always gone to All inclusive hotels. This time we decided to try out self catering apartment. We were apprehensive how it would work out.

In the event we had a great holiday. As others have indicated the photos do not do this place justice. The apartment is spacious, light and airy . The air conditioning is quiet and worked fine.

The apartment has all the facilities that you are likely to need to cater , relax inside or outside, it even had a beach umbrella , all the days we stayed it was sunny and hot , temperatures during the day in mid 30's and at night dropping to mid 20's. We loved the fact that all patio doors had electric shutters which blocked out the light - for us this was great for our lie-in mornings.

We loved the fact it was walking distance to the lovely and clean Porto de Mos beach, superb place to swim, and safe for kids too. If you drive down then there is ample parking . There are two restaurants there, Antonio's you need to book at least 2/3 days in advance to get a decent table with a sea view whilst the other is not as popular - wrongly we think, the food was as good and sea view and no booking. By the way if you go into Lagos town and you see a very long queue for a restaurant ( name I have forgotten) - don't bother , we waited for one hour to get in and the food was an anticlimax.

Suggest a car would be useful , especially with SATNAV- made our life so easy to get around. We hired an automatic from Luzcar - the rental was very reasonable , and fully insured which meant when my windscreen broke , it was fully covered.

The support from the owners and the management agency was excellent. Would I go there again ? Oh yes.

A superb place to stay

We stayed in this super apartment in March 2010 and found it to be a most enjoyable experience.

There was everything that you could need, from Satellite TV to books and games. A well equipped kitchen and state of the art bathrooms with all that you could need. The welcome pack was also very much appreciated.

The apartment was extremely clean, the owners and agents were both helpful and efficient and we could chill out immediately.

Just a short drive from the centre of Lagos and only a minute or so walk to the edge of the cliff with some stunning views of the beach.

We found the apartment to be ideally placed away from the town centre and amid some very upmarket apartments and villas, a superbly quiet spot.

The photos do not do the apartment justice at all, we were very pleased with everything.

Every room has patio doors with access to either a sheltered patio or balcony, security was second to none and the quality was very good.

I would certainly recommend this to anyone looking for a secure, quiet and pleasant place to stay.

A hire car is essential.

Porto de mos appartment

The facilities were excellent, the photos don't do it justice! Very luxurious and very well equiped. As it was new it was very clean and well maintained! Gardners came once a week while we were there and cleaners came twice a week! It was in an excellent location being on the ground floor, which meant that children could play safely in the pool and still be kept an eye on.

Excellent customer services with the owner and the algarve accomodation people while we were there, very happy to help.

I would most certainly recommend this to friends as it was a superb apartment in a great location and being on a complex made it easy to meet others.

We drove to lots of beaches while we were there, Salema is very nice and safe for children to play on. We ventured out to the Costa Vincentina on the East coast near Aljezur, very nice beaches with good waves for surfing! A trip to Monchique is worth it for the view!! The main beach in Lagos was a bit breezy but nice when its too hot!

The transfer from Faro aiport was swift, bags were on the carousel as we arrived and straight to the car hir place. We took out SATNAV which made it easy to find our way around! we were by the pool just after lunch on the day we arrived. It also helped that the owner had got a few pieces of food in, bread, milk, water, ham, cheese and fruit so we didn't need to rush off to the supermarket!.

we had a fantastic holiday here and think everyone else would have too

Highly recommended!

I stayed at this apartment with my husband for 1 week in July 2009. The apartment is fantastic - spacious and modern, a real home from home. The weather was perfect - clear blue skies all week. We had a really relaxing break. We would happily recommend this apartment to our friends and family.

Booking is made with a 25% deposit to secure booking. Full payment due 8 weeks before departure. If booking within 8 weeks of departure, full payment will be required in advance. A security deposit of £150 will be taken prior to occupation of the property. This will be returned at the end of your stay upon inspection of the apartment.

We would require a 25% deposit to secure your booking and the balance to be paid 8 weeks before your arrival along with the security deposit. Payments in euros will be calculated at exchange rate on date of enquiry.
