Very Comfortable

A very sweet and cozy unit. This unit is in original condition and very clean. What you see in the pictures is what you get. Five star ocean view. Grounds are tended to daily every morning. Very Quiet property. Backs up to Front St, main side road into Lahaina. If you are adventurous you can walk into Lahaina, one mile, or 5 min by car. Washer/Dryer was greatly appreciated. Kitchen with all appliances. Free covered parking is an added plus. rent a smaller car, spaces tight. We had a mini van and had to let my husband out first to get van in allotted space as he would not have been able to open door. But compacts work great.

This was my Anniversary and what a beautiful place to celebrate. This Condo looks exactly as the pictures show - but the view is better in person!!! We got up every morning and had coffee on the deck and watched the boats leave for the day, as well as whale activity. It was great!

You are steps away from a couple of great restaurants, Safeway, Starbucks and a Luau. You can even walk into downtown Lahaina. You are about a mile away. The Condo has everything that you will need, just bring your own personal items. The pool and grounds are VERY well kept. Watched the on site manager every morning doing is job. The BBQ's are used every night by someone, but never saw it overcrowded.

Only negative is no WIFI. But on the other side of that, it was a little refreshing to not be plugged in. We did not find that we missed it much, other than to post a picture or two. Might be an issue if staying longer than 1 week!

Great week in Lahaina!

This is my second visit to Lahaina Roads, and my first to this particular condo. Both visits have been fabulous.

Great unit! Beautiful view, clean condo, comfortable bed. The only thing that could have made it more perfect was a few more sunny days, and WiFi in the unit! Other than that, my mom and I had a great week together at Lahaina Roads.

Not quite what we're used to at Lahaina Roads

We've stayed at 3 units at Lahaina roads, and while our stay in this one was pleasant enough, it suffers by comparison with the others:

There was no copy of the condominium rules that we could find, and we ran afoul of them by having too many guests at the pool one day. Our bad, but a readily available set of rules wouls have saved us some embarassment. Poolyard gate code should be readily available as well. We had to call to get it.

There was no wifi. The owner said it was not required, and suggested we could use service from an adjoining unit, but we were uncomfortable with the idea, and anyway it is all password protected.

The cookware, while adequate, was dated with some lids missing. The one large frypan was concave on the bottom, so even cooking was impossible. Kitchen knives were dull beyond the ability to sharpen with a steel, which was provided.

The bathroom had an overhead fan, which we thought was a nice touch, except it would not stay on due to a faulty switch.

We had to repair the strings which keep the sunshades on the lanai from flapping in the wind and damaging themselves.

The unit was basically neat and tidy, but there was some buildup of crumbs, etc. behind the couch, under the bed, and in corners. We also killed three cockroaches during our stay, something we had not encountered in previous stays in other units.

This information is offered in the spirit of constructive criticism. To be fair, there's nothing wrong with this unit that can't be easily fixed, we just wished it had been fixed before we arrived.

Owner's Response: Aloha Sherrie and thank you for your comments. Yes the room is dated and we are working on issues as they are brought to our attention. I only found out about the pool code from another owner as I have not been on property for several years and there was no communication about it to me or my manager from the board. Had you called I am sure my manager would have gotten you what you needed with regard to cutlery and cookware etc. I will speak to them about the cleanliness issues and getting a copy of the latest house rules into the unit as soon as possible. The units are all treated quarterly for pests and insects and I will speak to the resident manager to have it retreated.
