We had a wonderful time!

  • 5 of 5

My family and I had a really great experience at this little cottage! We traveled all day through a rough storm and hadn't arrived until evening, and were pleasantly surprised by porch lights on and festive small lit trees in the windows. After settling in and having some dinner we cozy'd up with blankets and went to sleep in some very comfortable beds. The next day, after a home cooked breakfast, I took my son for a walk on the beach, (Pacific Shores) which was a short drive, and we had a great time. The following day was Christmas, and since I was in town visiting family we decided to have Christmas dinner at the cottage! We used the BBQ for grilling some tri-tip roasts, and the well equipped kitchen for preparing fresh yams and green beans. The cottage was perfectly clean and cozy for our family. We enjoyed the the stay, and wished we could've stayed longer!

Lovely cabin in the woods

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our week-long stay here. Dennis was very responsive to all our questions, and personally delivered more firewood when we ran out. The cabin is perfect for a quiet getaway, but we also made several great day trips around the area. The hot tub outside was lovely, even when it started hailing! We highly recommend this cabin to all :)

Perfect cozy getaway in the woods

  • 5 of 5

We stayed three nights over Thanksgiving weekend and had an awesome time. The kitchen stood the test of our giant feast. Gorgeous redwood hikes are just minutes East, and the ocean is just minutes West. The location is perfect, and the property is secluded and cozy. Absolutely recommended!

Wonderfully private cottage in the woods

  • 4 of 5

We stayed here for 2 nights and had a great time exploring the area. The cottage in wonderful 2 BR cottage, full kitchen and bath, and a living room. Hot tub was CLEAN and wonderful after a long day of hiking. I'm picky about hot tubs and would not have gotten in if it were "iffy". A storm caused a branch to fall on power lines and we were without power for about 2 hours, but there were flashlights and plenty of wood for the fireplace. There were delicious cookies when we arrived and any time I had a question, I could call Dennis and he always answered and able to help. Thanks for a wonderful stay.

Owner's Response: We're so happy you enjoyed your stay. Those "Del Norter" storms are exciting, and the power outages much less frequent and shorter than times gone by. Glad you enjoyed the hot tub and the wood stove to keep you warm and cozy. Hope to see you again. Dennis, Becky and Amy

Wonderful Property

  • 5 of 5

Amy's Redwood Cottage has provided us a beautiful and relaxing stay in Crescent City. The beds and linens are very comfortable, as is the couch. The cottage is neat and clean, and contains everything one needs for cooking and baking. The hot tub, fire pit, grill, redwoods and lots of outdoor furniture make the grounds so inviting for outdoor living. For a quick weekend of relaxing, you could easily entertain yourself at the cottage without venturing out! On the other hand, the cottage is well-located for hiking, kayaking, fishing and redwood excursions, and there is much to do in the area. The owners are accommodating, responsive, and just nice people. Note: I had some work to do while there, and the WiFi and phone service were fast and dependable. This cottage is truly special to us!
