Something is new at Bear Track Lake Adventures! We have chosen to name it "A Sneaky Bear's Hideaway" because it is located on the hill overlooking the lake, providing a more private getaway. It features a front deck that overlooks a stream that becomes a waterfall. It is a very calming experience to sit out and listen to the sound of the water. Inside can be found the signature lodge pole with a carved bear cub peeking out. A very expansive great room features an eighteen foot cathedral ceiling and a hearth with gas logs. The kitchen is designed to appear as an outdoor cooking area, with granite countertops and accent lighting. All appliances, including the washer and dryer, are top of the line. A dining area features a one-of-a-kind dining table made by craftsmen who bring out the beauty in the wood. The cabin is situated so that both the morning and afternoon sun bathes the interior. Two bedrooms, both with individual bathrooms, provide a retreat from the living area. Each features its own French Doors that allow you to watch the sunrise as you awaken to another wonderful day in this wonderful place. A boat for your use is provided with your rental. If you like nature, water, fresh air, and privacy, then A Sneaky Bear's Hideaway should be your destination. Hope to see you soon!

Ideal For Two Couples Looking For Quiet Luxury
Sneaky Bear in Beattyville is a luxury accommodation in a private wooded setting overlooking a lake. The house is a new and is a log construction with nice planked floors. All the surfaces are wood including the high ceiling. The two mirror image guest suites each has a bath so it’s ideal for two couples. The finishes are stylish and the appliances are good quality, including dishwasher, washer dryer, three door fridge. The central space is large and is an open floor plan. There is a gas fireplace in the main space. The kitchen is set up for real cooking with plenty of granite counter top. Nice selection of spices and cookware. The gas grill is just outside the kitchen and a spare propane was nearby. Two double glass doors lead to the deck which overlooks the lake and had chairs, table and two chaise lounges. The entire house was spotless. Entry was easy as a key code lock box is at the front door. We brought a colander and wine glasses as that was noted as missing in a prior post. No need...Fred had added both. He lives nearby and made sure we were settled and had everything we needed. The Red River Gorge and Natural Bridge are about 15 minutes away. The two person electric boat makes for a peaceful outing on the lake. We would definitely come back to Sneaky Bear on our next visit to the Gorge. My bet is that Fred will build a few more cabins around his lake in the future.
We appreciate the kind words. We have invested much time and effort towards creating a place that will not leave our visitors dissappointed. It seems to be working in that a growing percentage of our clients come back for a second or third
time. We have one family return for the fourth time this year! Again, thanks for the encouragement.
Awesome location! Beautiful cabin!!
Beautiful and clean! Super fun!
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The cabin was very well stocked and spotless! We have stay at several cabins/condos in the last year or two. They have been in need of maintenance or cleaning. This cabin needed neither. My kids were a little disappointed they could not hook up the wii as the TV is mounted high. You may want to bring cards/ checkers in the event of rain. The fireplace wasn’t working and the owners came right over to try and remedy the issue. They mentioned we should check out the caves on the property. They said there were a few. That was an understatement. My kids (15 & 17) had a great time checking out all the caves and overhangs. They thought exploring the property was as cool as natural budge. We will be back soon!
Really enjoyed our stay at this lovely cabin. Nice and quiet get away. The cabin is nicely stocked with everything you need. We saw deer out our back window of the cabin. My husband fished a little in the lake, had fun, but didn’t catch anything. Fish are in there because you could see them swimming. Cabin is located in rural area, so if you want to go places it is a little drive. However, if you’re wanting to just relax and enjoy the place, this is a great choice.
Great Get Away!
The cabin was perfect! We brought our 7 year old for a long weekend and some nearby hiking and the cabin/property didn’t disappoint. We’ve rented many cabins over the years and this was definitely a favorite. The cabin was well maintained and very clean. It also had several nice touches you don’t often find like packets of coffee, plenty of supplies, and hairdryers and toiletries in both baths. We also enjoyed hiking around the property and seeing the caves and rock formations. I only wish we had more time to spend exploring and to try out the boat which we didn’t do. I definitely recommend this cabin if you’re in the area...5 stars!
Beautiful cabin, wonderful property
This is a beautiful cabin furnished with everything you need. It was very clean and still smells new. There is plenty to do on property. We enjoyed riding on the lake in the provided boat, walking the trails and exploring the caves. There are many hiking trails not far away in the Red River Gorge and Natural Bridge State Park. Fred made sure we had all we needed.
