Relaxation and peaceful weekend
This is the perfect lakeside cabin to enjoy a weekend, week, or month!! very close to water and easily accessible. You'll feel like you are miles away and we loved it!!
I was quite anxious about the house as we went up and down those switch back curves. It had to be clean and comfortable, with a view in order to satisfy me. After we arrived and opened the front door, my response was “it is beautiful, and look how clean it is.” My excitement did not change as finished touring the house and dock area. My family was equally pleased. It did not leave us wanting for anything. Thank you so very much for such a memorabe Thanksgiving. God bless you
Fantastic Lake Cabin
We stayed here for a week and this place was near perfect! The cabin had everything we needed for a comfortable and relaxing week. We brought our boat and the provided slip was used plenty and provided a perfect place to view the sunrise and the sunset. We will definitely be going back! Honestly, can't think of anything negative to say. Go here, you will not be disappointed!
Such a nice cabin in a beautiful setting. A perfect place to spend family time. So relaxing, peaceful and majestic.
decent cabin with issues
Upon our arrival in late July, we were shown a form that said "do not turn the ac below 73 degrees as this may cause the freezing up of the air conditioning unit and you will have no air until we can get a repairman out which may be up to 24 hrs." This should set off warning alarms for everyone considering this cabin. Setting the ac at 73 caused everyone to be uncomfortable during the day with all the glass on the cabin allowing the heat to come through. One bedroom had a window unit so I feel that the owners must know they have a cooling problem in the summer heat. Outside temp was around 95 degrees. We found one working box fan and we purchased another to use while we were there. Our lake view was obscured by trees. The cabin itself is okay. The beds were comfortable. The air conditioning leaves much to be desired. We will stay somewhere else next time.
Thank you for taking the time to let us know that, in our attempt to make your vacation a wonderful experience, we didn't accurately relay the information regarding the air conditioning. This cabin has a great central air conditioning system and our warning wasn't meant just for this home. In our location, ALL of the homes have what we call "heat exchanger" AC units...it's a "southern" thing. They are extremely energy efficient and work very well. The only issues you can experience with them, is if it is over 95 degrees outside, and people decide that they can cool a home down FAST by turning the thermostat to 60, those times are that we have seen the outside unit "ice up", potentially taking up to 24 hours to thaw out.
We have been told by our HVAC repairmen, that ANY of the "heat exchanger" AC systems can only cool the inside of the house down 25 degrees or so, and that is if you leave the doors shut, not allowing hot air to flow back in. (Kind of hard to do when you are going in and out bringing in your personal items, etc.) So, in our attempt to help make your entire stay comfortable, we apologize for not making the situation clearer. Once you are settled inside, turning the thermostat down 25 degrees below the outside temperature is no problem at all, and as the temperature outside goes down in the evening, so can the thermostat without any fear of issues.
Please don't let this misunderstanding keep you away from enjoying this wonderful lakefront cabin in the future.
Again, thank you for helping us to make our visitors' stays more enjoyable, and "more informed".
The previous review says it all. Great place to stay. Highly recommend. Very cozy but well furnished. Didn't want for anything.
