Why Madeleine Kenowski chose Maggie Valley

I have no regret moving to Maggie Valley, it is like living in another world.

This is the most peaceful area I have ever been to and the local people are so friendly, and always willing to help.

The Honeymoon cabin, is located on 3 acres. This cabin is unique and you will love spending your vacation at the Honeymoon cabin.

What makes this cabin unique

I love Maggie Valley, it is conveniently located between the Cherokee Indian Reservation and Asheville.

Dollywood is only a little over an hour drive from the cabin.

The cabin is well maintained, if you need anything during your stay I am only a few minutes away.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Thanks for a terrific get-away home away from home for us. The cabin was great (especially the hot tub) and the location is the best we've seen in Maggie Valley. The creek and creek area were worth the trip. The cabin was very convenient to anything in Maggie Valley. We will certainly keep you in mind for our next trip to the area, We came to relax and we accomplished that.

Enjoyable Stay

  • 4 of 5

I truly enjoyed my stay. Nice clean cabin. Owner was very responsive to questions. The only area of concern is the parking, I am glad we chose to drive the smaller of our 2 vehicles. Most times we drive my truck which is a Ford F-250 super duty/crew cab which would have given me issues trying to park in designated area and keep the drive open to owners barn. I highly recommend this cabin as this was really the only challenge we had. The Chevy Tahoe we drove fit and allowed passage to the barn further up the path. Very nice place to stay and would use the owner again in the future.

Perfect Weekend

  • 5 of 5

My boyfriend and I loved this cabin! I came straight from work and Madeleine was very accommodating to our late arrival! The hot tub was already turned on and the lemon poppyseed loaf she left for us in the fridge was fantastic. We had a speedy breakfast around the corner at Joe's Pancake House and then spent the day snowboarding at Cataloochee. We were sad we couldn't stay longer. What a perfect weekend getaway!

Quick ski trip

  • 5 of 5

My wife and decided to take a quick ski trip to Cataloochee sans the kiddos. This was the perfect cabin in very close relation to ski rental shops, a good restaurant (Joey's Pancake house), and a quick trip to the Cat for skiing. The hot tub for two is great on a cold night after a full day of skiing. The cabin has everything you need for a short stay for two or with older kids (maybe 8+) the loft would be great too. The owner is very quick to respond to questions, and even took the time to give me weather updates as we were arriving late at night. She also makes a very nicy lemon poppy loaf for a good snack! Overall A+ will stay here again.

Looking for a fantastic cabin in Maggie Valley? This is it. It's off the beaten trail surrounded by woods and by a running river. Hummingbirds are frequent visitors at the feeder on the covered wooden porch. On the porch you can relax in the rocking chairs, eat your meals at the small personal table, or treat yourself to a good soak in the hot tub. The inside of the cabin is spotless. You have the responsibility of leaving it the way you find it, so in order to preserve the cleanliness guests should and have (based on our experience) accepted that responsibility. It is one of the few places we have stayed where we felt we did not have to wash the dishes before beginning to use them….There is a charcoal grill and a cozy fire pit down by the river. We stayed busy hiking and exploring. The location is great, too- plenty to do for all types. It is a perfect anniversary or honeymoon spot. Cozy, comfortable and quiet. And, as all other reviewers have noted, a fresh lemon poppy seed loaf awaits you in the fridge upon arrival!

Awesome stay.

  • 5 of 5

The cabin was so quiet and peaceful. I loved sitting on the deck early Saturday morning listening to the birds sing and the flowing of the water coming from the creek below. It was so relaxing which is exactly what we needed. The cabin was equipped with all the necessities even though we didn't need to use them since we only stayed 2 days. I would love to come back again for an extended stay. The cabin is centrally located to all the local attractions like Maggie Valley, Cherokee, and the Blue Ridge Parkway; all are within a 10 minute drive. I was thoroughly pleased with the cabin and would highly recommend it to anyone wanting to get away and enjoy some relaxation. The bread left in the refrigerator was delicious also.
