The deck has a table with umbrella, chairs, and some adirondack chairs for lounging (spring through fall only). There is also a Weber gas BBQ for grilling great meals (year round)! The sunny deck is great for sitting in the warm sun on cool mornings and enjoying your coffee.

High speed wireless internet is provided High speed Cable broadband and WIFI router. Plenty fast enough to stream Netflix, etc. Also a landline phone is provided for local calls. most cell service works in the area (AT&T has great service in the unit).

About Mike Straus

We grew up spending our summers on lakes (in Michigan and New Jersey) and wanted to have that same experience for our future family here in California. Currently residents in Marin County after having formally lived in San Francisco, we wanted to have our lake experience here and Lake Tahoe was a natural fit as we have enjoyed in in summers and winters for years since we each moved to California.

Mike Straus purchased this townhome in 2011

Why Mike Straus chose Lake Tahoe North Shore

It was important for use to have a place on a lake as we both spent our summers with lake living growing up, and we love Tahoe for Skiing in the winter and all the great outdoor activities in the summer. We wanted to be in North Lake Tahoe as we both loved Tahoe City and all the North shore has to offer. We wanted to be close to Tahoe City (within biking distance) and near both the Lake and bike path.

We found this great unit in Lake Forest Glen and not only was it close to Tahoe City and the lake, but this unit was near the back Bristlecone st exit making it easy to hop on a bike to the bike path or walk to the lake at Lake Forest Beach or the great hidden gem of Skylandia Park. We also loved the great remodel and mountain cabin theme inside and the south facing deck with plenty of sun all day long! We love staying here and we hope you will too!

What makes this townhome unique

The south facing deck gets lots of sun all day and is a great place to enjoy morning coffee. Inside the pine trim and log furniture give it a truly Tahoe feeling! Gas fireplace makes livingroom warm and inviting.

Very nice house

  • 5 of 5

We stayed there for 6 nights and had overall a great experience. There were no problems with the house, the kitchen is extremely well equipped, beds are comfortable and there are plenty of spare blankets, pillows, towels, etc. The only problem was that we had 4 young kids with us (3,4,5 and 12yo) and the living room/kitchen was way too small for this company. The dining table was shaky so there were spils all over it after meals. But this was the only problem, generally we liked the house and will definitely book it again if we'd have a chance to come with the same number of the adults.

Owner's Response: I am glad you had a good stay and am sorry you had a problem with the dinning table shaking, but thank you for brining this to my attention. I recently was up there and inspected the table and it was shaking due to the bolts working loose. I have tightened the bolts and it is no longer shaking. I hope you choose to come back again.

Comfortable and very well taken care of.

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful stay. The home is very comfortable and well appointed. Everything we needed was available. And Mike was very accommodating about helping us figure out the fireplace. Since we try to do a girls weekend each year we will very likely stay there again.

Convenient location; had everything we needed/wanted!

  • 5 of 5

This was our first trip to Lake Tahoe and we were very pleased with the accommodations. There were only four of us, so there was plenty of room to spread out. We cooked all of our meals in and the kitchen was well stocked (and then some!) with all the basics, pots and pans, utensils, etc. Beds were comfortable. Ceiling fans would have been nice, but there were plenty of portable fans for all the rooms. The lake is a beautiful, five-minute walk away; pool and hot tub close, but not so close we could hear it. The complex is well maintained and quiet. Would definitely stay here again!

Owner's Response: I am glad you had a nice stay and hope you will come back as a repeat guest in the future. Thank you for your feedback about ceiling fans. I agree that would be a good addition, particularly in the living room and master bedroom. I will add that to my list of improvement projects.

Wonderfully relaxing week in a well-apportioned home!

  • 5 of 5

This is a beautiful home with everything the visitor needs to enjoy Lake Tahoe. The back patio/deck is fabulous for relaxing and enjoying meals cooked in a well-stocked kitchen. From coffee maker to blender, toaster, crockpot, utensils, and pots and pans, the cook will have everything required for preparing meals. Wifi and cable TV enable visitors to stay as connected and entertained as desired. We found the home clean and well maintained, and its advertised description certainly lived up to our expectations. The lake is only a short walk away, and biking into Tahoe City takes only about 12 mins. There is plenty of shopping and dining available there. In Lake Forest Glen, the pool and tennis courts offer additional opportunities for activities. Miniature golf and a nice beach are close by in Carnelian Bay. A 30-min. + drive takes one to beautiful Emerald Bay, where we were able to hike. We were completely satisfied with our stay and appreciated all the amenities provided by the homeowner. I have no hesitation recommending this vacation home to others.
