Deer Mountain Estate is 3500 sq ft three level home which sits on one acre. Natural beauty and wilderness are right outside the door. Enjoy the serenity and seclusion of the Rocky Mountains, yet only minutes from all the attractions of Estes Park.

There are two separate Living Room/Family Room areas in the house. The upper level offers a Living Room with a stone fireplace, 21' cathedral ceiling, floor-to ceiling windows, and opens to a wrap-around deck with panoramic views of Longs Peak, Continental Divide, and Mount Meeker.

The loft area adjacent to the Living room has two full sized beds and the same incredible views.

The huge master suite on the upper level has a stone fireplace, a king-size bed (with 13" memory foam mattress), Samsung 46" Smart TV, Ipad/Iphone docking station, a private patio with a hot tub, and incredible views.

Kitchen is fully equipped with full sized refrigerator, induction cooktop, oven, dishwasher, Keurig coffee maker plus REGULAR coffee maker, and anything you need to cook for and serve 12 people.

The lower level has a Family/Game room with panoramic windows, a stone fireplace, a queen sofa-sleeper, poker kit, Samsung 55" Smart TV with access to 1000's of movies on Netflix, Crackle, Pandora Radio, and etc. The Family room is adjacent to a guest suite and has a separate entrance. Perfect for the second family with children.

One guest bedroom has a queen sized bed and another bedroom has two twin beds.

About Curtis Lee Wells

We live and work in Wyoming. Deer Mountain Estate will be our retirement home in a few years but for now you are welcome to enjoy it. It is a great place to entertain our family and friends, walking the 355 miles of park trails, or maybe just a scenic drive on the highest continuously paved highway in the US.

For the last a few years, we have been looking for a dream retirement place.Our house has everything. Close to the Park, close to the down town, the privacy of a cul-de-sac, and the best views in Estes Park. Nothing better than having a breakfast on the private patio and enjoying the views into the Park or the sunset from the deck in the evening.

What makes this estate unique

From our back yard you can get on a game trail, walk to the top of the hill and be on the Rocky Mountain National Park trail system. You may go to the Beaver Meadows Entrance (1.5mi) and hop on a bus and ride all day--why not--It's free.

Best Cabin experience

We absolutely enjoyed our stay. This is our second time here and it did not disappoint. This home is very comfortable and extremely clean. The owners go out of their way to assist you and communicate well. If you are looking to relax and shut in or even have a base as you run in and out of the park - this is the place you are looking for. The home is at the end of the street in a nice and quiet area. There are few things in life quite like relaxing in the hot tub on a clear sky night and listening to the mountain breeze, all while gazing at the breath-taking stars in the sky. We will definitely be back. Repeat customers here.

Very nice! Our accommodations were excellent. The house was in a perfect location!

The house is located in the heart of Estes Park close to grocery, shops and restaurants. The vast parks are very near making day hiking trips very convenient. The house was imaculate and well stocked with all of the basic necessities. In addition, the views for sunrise and sunset were spectacular. Overall, very satisfied and would stay there again!

Beautiful home

We stayed here mid October 2016. The house was beautiful and clean. The views were AMAZING. Private area, lots of wildlife.

The owners responded super fast to any questions or concerns.

Very close drive to Rocky Mountain National Park. Good restaurants nearby. There's a supermarket and small grocery within 10 minutes.

I would definitely recommend this house and would stay here again if the opportunity arose. Highly recommended!

The Perfect Fall Colorado Getaway

Two adult nieces and I stayed at Deer Mountain Estate for a fall holiday. I selected this property because of its location, and for "the best views of Rocky Mountains". Communications with Curtis the homeowner before and after the trip were pleasant and timely.

The views from the home were indeed spectacular and filled our eyes whether inside the house, on the deck or walking outside. Fall was in full swing, and the bull elk were in rut, so appreciated our proximity to Rocky Mountain National Park. By day we hiked in the park and took the thrilling drive up Trail Ridge Road. We also took a day trip loop to Boulder on Hwy 36, then up Boulder Canyon to Nederland and back to Estes Park on the Peak to Peak Highway (beautiful views of the fall colors and the other side of Long's Peak). We grocery shopped in Estes Park and spent a fun afternoon at their fall festival, did a bit of touristy shopping and dropped into the public library to print our boarding passes.

Back at the house we had ample space for both alone and together time. We cooked in the well-equipped kitchen, played pool, watched movies (we loved the downstairs couch for this purpose), relaxed in the hot tub and spent memorable evenings on the deck talking, listening to the elk bugle and were even treated to coyotes howling. One evening we played the Game of Life. The wifi was solid. Everything we could have possibly wanted or needed was there. Our stay was beyond what I'd hoped for and set the backdrop for a perfect fall Colorado getaway.

This is a great place in a great location.

The things that we loved about this cabin are the fabulous view, accessibility to Rocky Mountain National Park and Estes Park, the updated amenities and the responsive and kindness of the owners. We could truly come back after a long hike and just relax as if we were at home. This is a larger cabin and had more space than we needed but we would stay here again with or without a larger party.

We absolutely loved our stay here! Every night we would all sit out on the front deck & enjoy the view :) Plenty of room for everyone in the rooms & a great kitchen where we made a few meals. I would definitely recommend it to any good size group :) Note that check in time is @ 5pm, so we had to rearrange our plans a bit for the late check in time. Other than that it was perfect!

There is a game trail at the corner of the house that leads uphill to RMNP on the Deer Mountain Trail.

The Beaver Meadow Entrance to RMNP is 2 miles down the hill with a free shuttle that tours the park.

A grocery store and several restaurants are about 1 mile.
