Our Shelburne Pond View Villa has everything you need for a quiet, comfortable stay in Vermont. In the master bedroom you will find The high quality queen mattress is very comfy. The trundle day bed serves as a sofa in the open living dining space and has two high quality twin comfy mattresses. The kitchen is fully stocked with coffee, tea, sugar and all dishes and utensils needed if you decide to eat in. The bathroom is roomy, has towels, shampoo, blow dryer, soap-all the amenities. There is a flight of stairs to get to the apartment, it is not handicap accessible. It is a quite, tranquil setting but very close to great restaurants, shopping, lake, recreation, hiking, site seeing and more. We live on site, in a separate Main house which the apartments are attached to. You have your own private entrance, with plenty of privacy. There is a screen porch over looking the ponds and gardens. This space is available for our guests to use for relaxing, dining and perhaps a glass of wine. We have a gas grill right outside the porch for guests to use. There is a hot tub on the screen porch for all our guests to use. We ask that bathing suits are rinsed, and that guests take a quick shower to remove any body lotion before entering the hot tub. The hot tub is generally open mid September through mid May. We have hiking trails right outside our home and other hiking opportunities very close by.

About Laurie and Mark Kotorman
Mark and I LOVE the outdoors. Mark is an avid golfer, Laurie is the gardener. Both Laurie and Mark are official VERMONTERS and grew up in the Greater Burlington Area. They thoroughly enjoy sharing their knowledge of the many special things the Beautiful Lake Champlain Valley has to offer. Mark and Laurie own and operate K2 Slate and Metal Works-a local roofing contracting business that specializes in Vermont Slate, Copper and Metal Standing Seam Roofs. You can see some of Mark's craftmanship at the local and world famous Shelburne Farms. Laurie has been teaching Pilates for a decade, and has a small, on-site studio with special rates for guests. She also teaches Corporate Fitness at local businesses and at the Shelburne Field House Pilates Studio in Shelburne.

We fell in love with this piece of land as it afforded privacy, wooded hiking trails out our back door, and the "feeling" of country while still being close to town and all the conveniences. We built our home in 1999, and since then our children have grown and moved. So we have added 2 apartments, and have met wonderful people from all over the world. We love sharing our delightful gardens, ponds and peaceful outdoor setting especially in the Spring, Summer and Fall months when the weather is perfect for enjoying the outside. We Warmly Invite you to come and stay with us!
What makes this Apartment unique
Guests tell us the apartments are "well appointed", cozy and comfortable. They also enjoy the outside pool area and screen porch with pond and garden views in the Summer, and the Hot Tub on the covered screen porch in the Winter. We think Shelburne is special, and although we love to travel and go to WARM places in the middle of Winter, Shelburne will always be our home.

We enjoyed our stay at this cute little over-the-garage apartment in Vermont. It is suitably furnished, and very tastefully decorated. The yard and surroundings are lovely, with a pond, etc, and I bet it’s very pretty in the spring and summer! The hot tub and little enclosed porch is especially nice, after we found it locked and texted the owner, we enjoyed it very much. The property is actually currently for sale, which wasn’t mentioned, but despite having two showings nobody bothered us at all. The lock box where we needed to return the key was also broken, but after a quick text again, we left the key where we found it in the mailbox. I did have to reach out to for instructions for arrival, as I hadn’t been contacted with that info at all, even up to 2 days before. Also, we did trip the circuit breaker when using the heater (for the main area) and the microwave at the same time; and eventually found the circuit breaker after looking for a bit while waiting for owner to call back.

The apartment was GREAT. We really enjoyed the hot tub ( it is outdoors on a screened porch - really nice!). Located close to Burlington. There are many many restaurants within a few mins, but the property really is in the forest. Great grounds and beautiful garden. The kitchen had everything. Bed was wonderful. Parking was easy. We very much relaxed. We Highly recommend this property.

Beautiful outside landscaping!
You will definitely feel like you are in Vermont from the beautiful woodsy feel of the property. Though small, the apartment is perfect for 2-4 people and nicely decorated. Laurie was very responsive to some last minute changes. We only wish we could have stayed longer!

This is an IDEAL destination for families, couples or indivuduals looking for fresh, farm to table, local food options, beautiful scenery and plenty of outdoor recreational options for every season. Fiddlehead Brewery, Folino's Pizza and Shelburne Vineyard, are all highly recommended, and less than 3 miles away. In fact, there are so many great restaurants in Shelburne & things to do, you do not even need to leave town for an amazing vacation experience. Please refer to our on site "Guest Guide Book" that highlights all the best spots in town and all the "inside scoop" that only a "Local" could provide. In Shelburne, Burlington ( 7.4 miles North ) and the surrounding Lake Champlain Valley, there are no shortage of acrivites and festivals each weekend to choose from. Or if quiet and downtime is what you yearn for we are happy to direct you to tranquil places to sooth your soul. You choose: quiet reflection, meditation, reading, or even a nap-on site or close by.

This is for the health, safety and comfort of all our guests and our personal preference since we also live at the property. We appreciate your cooperation in this matter. VISITORS: No parties are allowed on the property. The property and amenities are for the use of guests indicated when booking. Additional guests beyond the guests listed when booking will be subject to additional fees. ( We had one guest invite several friends resulting in 3 additional vehicles in our driveway so we felt the need to address this! ) We have guests that enjoy visiting, some even want to share a glass of wine and h'orderves, and we are happy to oblige. However, if you want a more private experience, we are happy to give you all the privacy you need. We both work, our business is home based.
