Why Vista Exline chose Front Range Colorado

When I made the decision to move 'down the hill' from Evergreen, after 35 years, I looked at many cool locations around Denver before deciding on Golden. It's artistic, clean, safe and geographically separated from the rest of the city by the mountains, mesas and creek that define its borders. The East Street historic district is filled with families walking their children and dogs, bicyclists riding by, beautiful sky and views. Occasionally you can smell the hops from Coors brewery. Always, there is fun in Golden, whether its the arts festival, music in the parks or bars, or the car show. Come see!

What makes this bungalow unique

This Arts & Crafts bungalow built in 1890 comes with a long front porch with a swing, a table perfect for breakfast and shaded by an ancient silver maple. It features a deck off the updated and fully equipped kitchen - with a gas grill on the deck. The yard is fenced, with gardens all around. Depending when you are there, you are welcome to forage for strawberries or rasberries from the garden, grapes from the vine or pick peaches and cherries off the trees. It's in a sweet neighborhood and close enough to walk to town for dinner and drinks or for an early morning walk to the top of the mesa. There is an upstairs bedroom (queen bed) with a bath and shower. The second bedroom is downstairs (walkout basement - think old house) but completely remodeled with an amazing bath featuring a deep soaking tub. You'll love the location and the home! Well behaved pets are welcome with permission.

Wonderful home

  • 5 of 5

The awesome bungalow was exactly what we needed. We stayed from June 10th to June 17th, 2016. Two of our children live in the area, and we traveled from WI with our dog to visit. The house was perfect! The kitchen is more stocked than my kitchen at home. Absolutely everything you need for cooking is there. Spent most of our time in the beautiful back yard. It is fenced (perfect for the dog), large (played lawn games) and has a wonderful deck and table for eating our meals. Strawberry's were ripe and we enjoyed them. Views of table top mountain out the back! There are speakers on the deck so we could enjoy music while we visited on the deck. I can't recommend this bungalow enough!

Beyond our Wildest Expectations

  • 5 of 5

From the moment we drove up and saw the huge shaded front porch with comfortable seating, I knew this was going to be the perfect place to stay in Golden for the week of my son's wedding. But as we walked through the property it just kept getting better. It was immaculately clean, but far from sterile. After the first 3 days we were still discovering amazing art in every room and nook and cranny. There are two spacious living areas and a dining room upstairs, in addition to the most well-equipped kitchen I have ever seen that has not only the practical things like pots and pans, but gorgeous serving dishes, and a perfectly stocked pantry. Oven and refrigerator are new and top of the line. And then there is the back deck overlooking lush gardens. Our two pups had such a wonderful time exploring the yard while we sat on the benches keeping an eye on them. We stayed upstairs in a very comfortable bed, while my sister and her husband had the entire downstairs to themselves with two more living areas and a huge remodeled bathroom. We had invited all of the guests in town for the wedding to stop by and say hello. At one point 40 people were able to be there at the same time comfortably chatting and enjoying a buffet on the deck and seamlessly transfer indoors when a brief shower occurred. All in all, 5 stars are no where near enough. We are so thankful to Vista for sharing this lovely home with us and we are hoping to make a return visit in the future.

Well situated, well maintained, well furnished and very comfortable

  • 5 of 5

We could not have been happier with our stay. The cottage is in a quiet neighborhood at the edge of town with Castle Rock looming just blocks away.

Easy walk to grocery and main street shops and restaurants. The chilled bottle of wine in the fridge helped erase the trials of a long travel day complicated with airline delays. And seeing the coffee supplies for the next morning saved a late night run to the store. The furnishings and interesting artwork throughout the cottage made the stay very pleasant. Breakfast on the back deck in the morning sun. Being pet friendly was a real plus for us - our daughter lives in Denver and was able to visit with her dogs adding to all our enjoyment. We will definitely try to stay here again!

Great deal for the money

  • 5 of 5

This property was perfect for our family getaway. Vista was more than accommodating to our needs (traveling with 3 kids under 5). The backyard is great- and the basement was much bigger than I anticipated. The house is beautiful, full of awesome old features. Would stay again next time in Golden!

Great location, cozy bungalow - very comfortable, well-stocked

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I spent a long weekend with close friends in Golden and this property was the unexpected treat of our trip. Throughout the entire weekend we kept on stating "what a great house". The owner was very accommodating, beds were comfortable as well as the furniture in the living areas. The kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans, knives, kitchen tools, coffee maker, spices, etc. The property has a rich garden with herbs, strawberries, raspberries, as well as other vegetables and flowers on the side yard; the owner encouraged us to take advantage of the garden - we did. Fresh raspberries to accompany our breakfast.. We spent lots of time on the back deck as well as the front porch enjoying the yard and the views. The 4 topper table on the front porch served as our breakfast dining area with great views of the front range. EZ walk to historic downtown and terrific restaurants just blocks away. WIFI worked well for all of our devices. During our stay we had multiple trips to dowtown Denver, just a 20 minute drive in moderate traffic, as well as easy access to the mountains with I70 just a few miles away. The house is located 7.5 miles away from the upper south parking lot at Red Rocks. Grocery shopping at Safeway is less than two blocks, with a starbucks next to Safeway if you haven't had your morning coffee. Will definitely stay at this property next time in the Denver area with another couple - awesome location for going to concerts at Red Rocks.

Perfect for family visiting the School of Mines.

  • 5 of 5

My family and I thoroughly enjoyed everything about our stay. House is much bigger than it appears, great for family. We were there for a basketball clinic at CSOM, so convenient to the university. Great neighborhood that was quiet, but very close to grocery store and restaurants. This will be the first place we look to stay when we return next year. The owner was easy to work with, place was clean with everything we could ask for.
