The luxury award winning Legacy Dunes is a private gated and secured community sitting on fifty acres of beautiful land. The impressive list of amenities includes luxuries such as a clubhouse, fitness room, golf cage, game room, playground, barbecue area, gazebo, tennis courts, volleyball court, basketball courts, and two swimming pools - one of which is solar heated. The gorgeous main pool is a zero entry pool, making it perfect for any toddlers or those physically challenged.
This property is secure and safe, and close to everything you need for a wonderful vacation. The amenities are ID card access only. There are a few airports located nearby making access quick and easy.
This property I would say is about average. The owner was difficult. Carpet was older. Tried to charge us for existing damage to carpet. Just factor in your deposit into your expected cost. I've rented 20+ vacation properties and this has been my only problem owner.
Legacy Dunes is a well-kept gated community. Accommodations were very attractive, clean, and well appointed. Even though it was cool weather when we were there in January, we were able to sit by the pool and enjoy some sun. The pool area is clean with plenty of lounge chairs and attractively landscaped.
We needed to access Disney for the Disney Marathon, and we're pleased that it took little time to get there. The property is off the road quite a bit, with many beautiful trees so it feels quiet and private even though it is convenient to stores, restaurants and entertainment venues.
I just left this condo. I highly recommend it, espcially for those families coming to the Orlando area for vacaction. This condo is located on the "less busy" side of Disney, however the parks are very easily accessible. From Hwy 192, you can take a short cut but using Black Lake Rd to Sherberth. Within a few miles of this condo, you will find Walgreens, Super Target, Wal Mart, Publix, and many restaurants. My trip just inclueded my husband and I, as we were celebrating our anniversary, so we didnt do a lot of eating at the condo. Each morning we made a stop at Chick Fil-a or Panera Bread for breakfast before heading to parks. One evening we ventured in to where there are more of the touristy things and the traffic was horrible. I was so thankful for the location of this condo. We did not use the complex ammenties but this complex was very well maintained and had such a pleasant and safe look and feel. The condo itself is very roomy and well maintained. The bed was comfortable and we had everything we needed. The washer/dryer in the unit is very helpful. It is located on the 2nd floor so that needs to be considered for someone who has trouble with stairs.
Tip for those who are coming to the condo from the airports. We flew into Orlando-Sanford and my GPS app took use to the condo via toll roads.....lots of tolls--like I think I spent about $15+ dollars getting there. There are other routes just be prepared.
The condo was clean, comfortable and well maintained. The kitchen has everything, and the washer/dryer in the unit is great to have when you are staying longer than a week. It was close to all the parks, shopping and restaurants. I've already told friends about it, and I would highly recommend this condo to families with teenagers - the two bathrooms which the condo has - is a definite 'must have'! I really appreciated the info binder too.
The apartment was very clean and spacious, and the décor was great and had a very homely feel, which makes you feel very comfortable.
All the facilities in the apartment were great, especially the washing facilities, which allowed us to travel light in order to buy and bring lots of clothes back.
The location was ideal for us as we had previously stayed in that area, and was familiar with the travel time to the parks, supermarkets, and restaurants.
