Two master suites highlight this 3 bedroom, 2 ½ bath townhouse. Our condo is newly furnished, fully equipped, has three flat screen TVs, WiFi, air conditioning, ceiling fans, lots of light, beautiful views and a feeling of open space. It also is 1,500 square feet.
One master suite has a king size bed; the other has two full beds. Both have wall-mounted flat screen TVs, fans, and, of course, their own bathrooms with double sinks. These two suites are on the lower floor, as is the washer and dryer.
Upstairs is the great room, kitchen, half-bath, smaller bedroom with two twin beds and a lanai. The pictures best describe this area. The lanai overlooks a large lava pool and fountain on one side and a swimming pool and spa on the other. It is the perfect place for breakfast and dinner for four. The dining room table can seat up to eight people. There is a flat screen TV in the great room. This townhouse truly feels like a house.
Situated in Mauna Loa Village in the Keauhou area, our townhouse is next to Kona Country Club golf course and is close to shopping. The Sheraton, a marine harbor and the ocean are only a short walk away. Mauna Loa Village has 8 pools and spas, several barbeque areas and a large covered parking garage. A grocery store, drug store and local mall are a 10 minute walk or 5 minute drive away.
We rented this property twice, when it was available. Recommended it to friends who also rented it and loved it. When it came on the market we jumped at the chance to buy it.
Two master suites. Once we rented it with another couple--no hassle over the best bedroom and bath. Another time we rented it with family--again no hassle. The children enjoyed the upstairs bedroom where they had the TV and DVDs in the great room all for themselves when the adults went to bed.
We spend a wonderful month at this three bedroom, 2 1/2 bath condo and it met our needs perfectly. We had our three adult children staying with us for one week and friends from Canada joined us all for supper one evening. The dining room, living room and lanai accommodated everyone comfortably and we had plenty of dishes and cutlery to entertain the gang. The kitchen is extremely well equipped for a vacation home. We prefer to eat most of our meals "at home" when we have extended holidays and we found everything we needed: even a blender for our pina coladas and smoothies! The beach gear was equally well supplied: we found boogie boards, beach mats, umbrellas, coolers and snorkeling equipment that made our holiday much more fun. The unit is a bit dated, so if you want granite counter tops and new fixtures, this would not be your best choice. However, if you are looking for a very clean, quiet and comfortable location where you can feel at home and enjoying the beauty of the big island while living with a swimming pool, decorative landscaping, fish pond and bird song all nearby, then this is an excellent destination. We had occasion to communicate with both the rental agent and owners of this property and found them to be unfailingly accommodating, friendly and helpful. Mahalo Cindy, Mary and Bruce!
