About James M Campbell
As a 2004 retiree, I needed something to do to occupy my time. Since I was originally born in Tennessee and owned several acres on the Cumberland Plateau, it seemed only natural that I would eventually find myself back there. Renting vacation cabins came purely as a coincidence since I wound up with more cabins than I could use after buying out and 'ol Navy buddy. I enjoy meeting and talking to all kinds of people and this seemed to be the perfect venue for that passion.
James M Campbell purchased this Cabin in 2008
Why James M Campbell chose Spencer
While traveling from Georgia to Kentucky we crossed the beautiful Cumberland Plateau many times. Each time we would comment on how great it would be to own property there someday and to thoroughly enjoy the area, especially Fall Creek Falls State Park.
What makes this Cabin unique
The beauty and serenity of the area provides a great place to sit back and relax away from the hustle and bustle. The added joy of having the beauty of Fall Creek Falls so close by is just a bonus. Sitting on your porch and watching the area wildlife come and go is a real treat.

Great little cabin!!
We enjoyed staying in this cabin and plan to maybe do a bigger family outing due to having other cabins available in same area. We enjoyed the closeness to Fall Creek Falls State Park
This is our go to place! We've been here by ourselves, with grandchildren, and now with dear friends. It's a very quiet place. Property owner, Jim and property manager, Sheryl are always nearby to help if needed. One has to remember that it is the woods, and you will see spider webs and creepy crawly things from time to time. If that bothers you, then you may not want to come to a cabin in the woods. But, if you need some peace and quiet and a peaceful walk in the woods, this is the place to be. P.S. Don't forget your bug spray!
Great place to stay
Beautiful place to stay and see. Close to a grocery store. Close to state parks. Overall just a wonderful stay and stuff to do, without have to spend all day driving.
It was nice and quiet. We liked the seclusion and the area. Cabin was nice and clean, we enjoyed our time there and would recommend it to others.
Great place to stay
Very hospitable and friendly. Everything that you need is there as far as bedding, towels and kitchenware. Wheelchair accessible...perfect😁
Great place to stay!
May 13 - 17, 2019 - If seclusion, peace and quite is not your "thing" try something different. This cabin is off the beaten trail and everything it promises. Our stay was perfect and if back in the area, we will definitely return. The cabin was very well equipped, clean and the owner is very accommodating. Highly recommend!
Our cabins are located on over 60 acres of forest with plenty of trails to hike and explore.
