Geneva on-the-Lake is really a year round destination. While the strip closes down after Labor Day there is still lots to do. The wineries stay open year round and so does the Lodge with special seasonal programing. We also have Spire institute with indoor pools and workout rooms. Here are some of the highlights for the Fall and Winter.

Watch the storm systems move across the lake, while warm and snug in the Condo with the fireplace on and your favorite hot beverage.
We began visiting the Geneva-on-the Lake area about fourteen years ago when the lodge first opened and we feel in love with the beauty of the area. On one of our trips we stayed at the Lake House Inn and Winery and wondered if we could find a place to visit often. This led us to the Sturgeon Point condos and finally condo ownership. Over the years we have enjoyed many highlights at the condo including watching the Tall Ships sail right passed our condo on the way to Cleveland and then seeing them again when they returned to Erie.
Mark Whitmore purchased this condo in 2006
You will loved the property. The lake views are gorgeous. You can enjoy the lake year round. Each season presents new sights to marvel at. The winter is particularly dramatic when the lake freezes. Large slabs of ice lay on top of each other and the color of the water takes on a particularly intense blue hue. You can look out at the winter scene, with the fire in the fireplace keeping you warm and cozy, and the wineries and Lodge stay open year round to offer entertainment and enjoyment.
The condo is situated such that everything is within walking distance. There is a wonderful 15 mile bike and walking trail (in the winter it is used for cross-country skiing and snowmobiling) that you can walk to from our condo. It is an easy walk to the Strip during the season, which has everything from fine dining to casual meals, game arcades and miniature golf to keep your family occupied and numerous music performances.
Condo had everything you would need for a week at the beach. Walking distance to everything, Pool was great, would rent again.
Nice, comfortable condo & very clean. The view from the condo was amazing, & the first thing you saw when you opened the door to enter! We had a great time. Owners were very helpful with area ideas. Tons of wineries to visit, lots of restaurants to choose, and we even got to look for beach glass at the condo's private beach. Pool was heated. We hope to return next year.
The first thing we noticed when we entered the condo was the beautiful lake view! The condo was spacious and clean. Our deck looked out between the winery next door and the unit in front of us, and the view was breathtaking! We actually saw a wedding take place at the winery next door which was so beautiful and sweet!
We enjoyed long walks to the park and marina each day. The condo was on the edge of The Strip; close enough for folks who like the hustle and bustle yet quiet and serene. Day trips included the fish market in Ashtabula and Presque Isle State Park. The sky was deep blue and air fresh and crisp for August. We spent time at the pool and on the beach. I can say I totally relaxed for the first time in several years, and didn't want to leave!
GOTL and Sturgeon Point condos are only 3hrs from Columbus and we can see ourselves buying a place to enjoy before retirement.
Thank you for a wonderful week!
We enjoyed the condo very much. It was beautifully decorated, had a great location, fit the needs of our family get together and the view was awesome.
Desperate need for peace and quiet: this home was perfect. Beautiful view of water, comfy furniture, lovely decor and I am a happy girl. Lots of kitchen tools and spices so husband was happy with my cooking too. Grill was magnificent. We were homebodies except when explored on walks at park and went on winery search. The pool was still filled and perfect temperature and we had it and the hotbed all to our selves. Just what we wanted. Thank you!
Needed this more than I realized. The lake was so peaceful, and all the people in the area where friendly and willing to help with directions when needed.
The condo was very clean and inviting. Could not have asked for anything nicer!
