Kelowna House Rental Photos and Description

Deer and other forest animals are your neighbours in this idyllic natural setting. Large picture windows provide fabulous views of Okanagan Lake, forest and mountains. Step out onto your private sundeck to enjoy the spectacular unobstructed lake view.

Private Self-Contained casita includes bedroom, bathroom, living room with plenty of seating (and futon for additional sleeping for two), dining area and fully equipped kitchen all overlooking the stunning lake views. The tile flooring adds to the Mexican decor. Perfect for the romantic getaway, or time with your young family.

Only steps from a large beach access - less than 5 min walk - to the crystal clear Okanagan Lake. Enjoy the shared beautifully landscaped yard with panoramic lake views. Unwind in the hot tub or sit and enjoy the outdoor gas firepit or relax on the several decks throughout the property.

Vehicle transportation is required, however grocery and other shopping are approximately a 10 minute drive. Downtown Kelowna is only 15 minutes away with award winning restaurants, stunning beaches, and entertaining night life. The Okanagan is also home to unbelievable wine tours and some of the nicest golf courses in Canada. Three of the Okanagan's superb lakes are within driving distance (Okanagan Lake, Kalamalka Lake, and Woods Lake) for endless water sports, fishing, and outdoor activities.

This suite's location is a perfect and relaxing alternative to hotel accommodation. Only 20 minute drive from the Kelowna International Airport. In the winter enjoy some of Canada's best skiing/snowboarding at the internationally famous BIG WHITE SKI RESORT and SILVER STAR MOUNTAIN - both within a 45 minute drive.

About Phyllis & Ian

We moved into our newly renovated home and built the semi-detached casita in 2003, when we became empty nesters. We always loved the area (Ian grew up in the house next door) and now that we live here, we enjoy everything this property has to offer with its privacy from the city, beautifully landscaped yard, forest and panoramic lake views and beach access.

Phyllis & Ian purchased this house in 2003

Why Phyllis & Ian chose Okanagan Valley

We fell in love with the view of this property and take great pleasure in knowing that it still affords easy access to downtown Kelowna and everything that the Okanagan has to offer. We enjoy the solitude, serenity and privacy - while living in a friendly neighbourhood.

Our home and the property provide an unbelievable panoramic view of Okanagan Lake, that has to be seen to be believed. We never get tired of sitting on our deck in the Kelowna sunshine and taking in the view; whether it's winter, summer, spring or fall.

What makes this house unique

While renovating our home in 2004, we lived for 6 months in the casita. Although we love our home, the coziness of the casita is something we still miss.

Guestbook comments from the owner

Thank you for the warm welcome. We loved our stay at your beautiful Casita. Thank you so much for sharing with us, the views are breathtaking. Looking forward to be back again next year.

Quiet relaxing beautiful view

  • 5 of 5

My husband, daughter and I enjoyed the lake, BBQ, view, and deck. The owners were very welcoming and ensured we had everything we needed. We would stay again for a holiday! The Casita has air conditioning which helped for some of the hot days. Great getaway! We loved it! So peaceful - no traffic - only 10 - 15 minute drive to stores.

Serene Serenity

  • 5 of 5

Came for the golf, but stayed for the serenity. This place has a Top 10 in the world kind of view that is worth the price alone. The Casita itself had everything we needed and was the perfect place to come back to after a long day of losing on course. Enjoyed the deck, the BBQ, the hot tub, and the lake. Would return in a heartbeat. Darling recommended.

Little piece of paradise

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I rented the Casita for two weeks on summer vacation. Ian and Phyllis were wonderful hosts and the Casita was equipped with everything we needed. We even found a jar of home made jam in the fridge to greet us. The view and location was fabulous. We loved that it was a little away from town, yet shopping and everything we needed was nearby. The beach was a quick walk down a steep hill. We also enjoyed the view by the fire pit a few nights with a glass of wine. Some wineries were just a short drive north and well worth exploring. We highly recommend this spot for any type of getaway and hope to return again.

Great stay!

  • 5 of 5

A great little stay! My newlywed wife and I stayed at the Casita on our way back from Vancouver Island to Edmonton for a little honeymoon. Very comfortable for 2 people and the views from the balcony and yard are amazing. They were so accomidating to us a many ways! Would for sure stay here again and would recommend it to anybody!! You get the best of both worlds with this property! The peace and quiet of being away from town, but still only a 15-20 minute drive to downtown Kelowna! Plus you are only 10 minutes to all of your grocery, drugstore, liquor and coffee needs! (Intersection of Glenmore rd and Kane rd)

Beautiful Okanagan Casita

  • 5 of 5

The view was amazing. Phyllis and Ian were very welcoming and allowed us to have our privacy. The beach was just a few steps away and the house has absolutely everything you would need for a comfortable stay.

Nothing beats the location and the amazing views of the lake.

The only thing I would suggest is packing a lot of food because the grocery story is a little bit of a trip away (25 minutes) and the roads are windy.

Owner's Response: The location and view truly are wonderful. We're happy that the road construction in the area is almost at an end so that trips to the grocery store and other amenities will be only 10 to 15 minutes.
