About Phyllis & Ian
We moved into our newly renovated home and built the semi-detached casita in 2003, when we became empty nesters. We always loved the area (Ian grew up in the house next door) and now that we live here, we enjoy everything this property has to offer with its privacy from the city, beautifully landscaped yard, forest and panoramic lake views and beach access.
Phyllis & Ian purchased this House in 2003
Why Phyllis & Ian chose Central Okanagan
We fell in love with the view of this property and take great pleasure in knowing that it still affords easy access to downtown Kelowna and everything that the Okanagan has to offer. We enjoy the solitude, serenity and privacy - while living in a friendly neighbourhood. Our home and the property provide an unbelievable panoramic view of Okanagan Lake, that has to be seen to be believed. We never get tired of sitting on our deck in the Kelowna sunshine and taking in the view; whether it's winter, summer, spring or fall.
What makes this House unique
While renovating our home in 2004, we lived for 6 months in the casita. Although we love our home, the coziness of the casita is something we still miss.

relaxing with nice place to swim & enjoy the view
comfortable, clean, tasteful Mexican decor, with accommodating, congenial hosts. Good size for our family, a couple with one grown kid. Convenient to the airport, very quiet neighborhood
Amazing long weekend getaway in a beautiful spot
We loved our long weekend getaway at Ian and Phyllis' guest house. The property is spectacular. The guest house has a true vacation feel with stunning views. It was modern yet cozy and had everything we needed to feel at home. We loved sitting on the patio enjoying the lake views and our daughter loved watching the deer, chimpmunks and birds on the property. While it is part of the property, the guest house is very private and in a separate building. We enjoyed using the fire pit and hot tub that is attached to the property. The community is quiet and serene. We enjoyed many walks through the tall trees of the neighbourhood admire the gardens. There was a park near by for our daughter to play. Ian and Phyllis were great hosts. The only constructive feedback - we were excited to go swimming in the lake off the dock featured in the photos. It has been taken down and the beach was quite rocky and not a great spot to take our little one swimming. We did enjoy sitting by the water and throwing pebbles with her. We will for sure be back. Thank you!!!
It was wonderful having you and your family visit the Casita.
Due to high water and flooding issues on Okanagan Lake this year, numerous wharfs and docks were washed away - including the one at the City of Kelowna park next to our property. We are hopeful that this might be rebuilt soon.
We look forward to your future visit.
We had a great time at the Casita. It was a nice place to unwind after a day of touring around the Okanagan in the hot sun, with all of the amenities you would find at home. The home owners were also great, and mailed some stuff for us after we had forgot it.
The only thing I would note for future guests with babies that are just sitting and rolling is that the floor is tiled (which I didn't even think about when I booked). We used the spread out futon for our son and he was happy, but we just had to make sure he didn't roll off.
Beautiful accommodations and lovely hosts!
The Casita was a perfect place to stay and had all the comforts of home. The view was incrediable and we can't wait to go back!
Heavenly retreat by Okanagan Lake
Our days in the Okanagan Casita were the best of our recent vacation. We could not believe our luck with the wonderful views, the quiet location and the welcoming atmosphere that our hosts created. The Casita has every amenity you could imagine & more and it's only 15 minutes to stores for groceries, etc. Our hosts were very friendly & helpful with our questions and concerns and even gave us a recommendation for a nearby winery which we loved! We highly recommend this lovely spot to anyone!
We had an awesome time staying at the Casita. The home is beautiful and the views are breathtaking. It was perfect for our family of four.
The Okanagan Valley is world renown for its wineries, orchards, watersports and snowsports. Big White and Silver Star Ski Resorts are less than an hour's drive. There are numerous lakes in the area, with Okanagan Lake being the largest - at 90 miles long and 2 miles across. Ziplining, biking and horseback riding are all available in the area.
