This large (3850 sq. ft.) 12th floor condo was constructed as a four bedroom, four bath condo with maid's quarters, located at the center front of the ocean side of the central tower. The terrace (1000 sq. ft.) wraps around the entire condo for a 180 degree unobstructed view of the beach. Two bedrooms with attached private baths have been locked off by the owners, leaving a very spacious living room, dining room, kitchen, TV room and the entire large terrace for the enjoyment of the renters of the remaining two bedrooms with attached private baths. No one uses the locked off rooms when the condo is rented. This condo makes all other two bedroom condos feel cramped and small. Professionally decorated, the furnishings of this condo are high quality and comfortable, with TempurPedic mattresses in the bedrooms. One bedroom has a king size bed and the other has a queen size bed. Both have large closets and lots of storage. Each bedroom has an attached private bath with frameless tempered glass showers, marble counters and vessel sinks. All rooms have sliding glass doors out to the magnificent terrace. The view from this terrace is unbelievable in scope and beauty. Most rentals have a restricted view, either to the north or south of the beach. Your view here covers all the beach, the ocean, the surrounding hills, the marina, and the pools and gardens of the complex. This terrace features glass railings and tropical hardwood furniture. The kitchen has been remodeled and enlarged with stainless steel appliances, granite counters and all necessary cooking utensils, small appliances and dishes. The maid's quarters has been converted into the laundry room and has ample storage for your golf bags, beach and water toys and empty suitcases. Private wireless internet is available in the unit. There is a new 47 inch LED Smart TV in the TV room with a DVD player and a library of DVDs for your entertainment. There is also a Bose docking station to charge and play your Ipods.
Hola! Our names are Richard and Marguerite Daugherty and we are the proud owners of this condo. We are retired and live in Central Oregon. Since we no longer snow ski, we were looking for a warm weather beach area for a second home when we came to Ixtapa with friends and fell in love with the area. Our perfect day in Ixtapa begins with a four mile walk up and down the beach, followed by a swim in the pool before brunch.

We first purchased a condo in the BVG Residencial building in 2006. While we enjoyed our time there, we saw the new BVG Marina building start construction. We decided to sell the first condo and purchased this condo because we loved the floor plan and the terrific location within the building. We also appreciate this quiet end of the beach, removed from noisy hotels, concessions and nightclubs. Of course, all those are easily accessed by the public bus or taxi.
The BVG Marina is the newest condominium building in Ixtapa, with all the modern amenities. This floor plan is unique in that it is only one of five condos with the large wrap around terrace, and so far, the only one available for rent. We love to read books on the comfortable lounge chairs on our terrace where you can find sun or shade to suit your preference. The ocean breeze keeps us cool. We enjoy taking breakfast and lunch here, watching all the activities up and down the complete beach. We never tire of cocktails on the terrace while watching the glorious sunsets. We hope you enjoy your time here as much as we do!
I had the pleasure of staying in the Daugherty's beautiful condo on the 12th floor center tower for 10 days with my wife and another couple this past February. It was fantastic! The unit is one of the nicest in the BVG Marina complex, and is probably in the best location. The pictures don't do it justice. The expansive balcony gave views to the north for sunset, the south for sunrise, and center (west) for the best view of the beach and ocean you could ask for. The high-top tables, loungers, and rockers on the balcony were some of the nicest and most comfortable furnishings we have seen in a rental unit. The interior space is huge and very well decorated. 3 large bedrooms with large en-suite bathrooms, and very comfortable tempurpedic beds, all with doors out to the balcony. A large dining table. Large kitchen--fully stocked with everything you would need, if you enjoy cooking and eating in. There is also an electric grill, which we did not use. The living room has plenty of comfortable lounging space allowing you to gaze out at the ocean through the wall of glass. A large bar is just off to the side to keep your wine and margaritas coming. There is a large laundry area with large sink, storage area, and extra bathroom, which is separated from the kitchen by a virtually soundproof door. The large new LCD TV with satellite and DVD sits in a separate viewing area, although we did not waste a lot of time sitting in front of it. The WiFi was fast and dependable. The air conditioning system is excellent and cools down fast when you need it, although it stays cool through the day with just the ceiling fans. The staff at BVG Marina continue to be some of the nicest you will encounter. This was our third stay (and our friend's 6th) in this complex, and I would say that our time in this unit was, by far, the best and most enjoyable. Marguerite was a joy to deal with. Reponses to emails were extremely fast. She made everything go smoothly from the time of my first inquiry until the day we got home. We will definitely try to spend more time here in the future.
Diego and Javier were there to greet us and take us to the condo and it is exactly how the pictures represent, maybe even better! We needed assistance from Diego on a very small issue during our stay and he responded very quickly resolving the issue within ten minutes. The 180 degree terrace was unbelievable and the biggest reason I would return. Eating breakfast while sitting on the terrace watching/listening to the waves was priceless. The pools were kept very clean, the security kept the kids out of the adult pool, and the wait staff around the pool were great. The prices on the resort as others have mentioned, are very reasonable (ie. Corona were 18 peso). Even though the property was busy around Christmas, at no time did we struggle to find chairs with shade. Across the street towards the marina is a convenience store and liquor store, less than 5 min walk. The Commercial Mexicana (grocery store) was a 90 peso cab ride away. There were numerous restaurants within a 15-20 minute walk from the property. All dealings with Marguerite pre/post vacation were awesome as she answered any questions we had. Absolutely I would book this property again.
This condo is superb in every way. The view is amazing -- you will remember if for the rest of your life. But equally fabulous are all of the amenities of the unit and property. The condo owners have outfit the unit with wonderful amenities - the furniture, sheets, towels, technology, kitchen tools - everything is platinum standard. We especially loved the smart tv with Netflix, which was great to enjoy at the end if the day. The property itself is great -- fit for families, quiet, good service, clean, and a property (finally!), where you don't have to get up at sunrise to save chairs at the pool. We loved everything about this vacation and couldn't recommend it any higher. We gave very high standards and thus vacation fit the bill!
On our arrival we were met by Diego who took us up to the condo and from the entry you see right thru and out to the Pacific. He was around the complex daily and always making sure we were comfortable and that all was ok. Everything about the condo is first class and is without doubt the most beautiful place we have ever rented. The views are just incredible and the furnishings are so comfortable that you hate to leave the unit. There is a great little restaurant right on the premises for food and drinks and there are lots of excellent restaurants within a 15 minute walk into town.
This place is amazing! So much space. Awesome kitchen, both bedrooms have beautiful views and access to the humongous balcony. The building staff, gym, pool and spa are perfect and top notch!!!! Can't wait for next time.
Ixtapa is about twelve miles from the Ixtapa/Zihuatanejo Airport (ZIH). Ixtapa is a beautiful Fonatur development consisting of hotels and condominiums built along two-mile long Palmar Beach. There is only one main avenue that makes a U-turn at the Marina end. There are several nice restaurants and shops within walking distance of the condo at the Marina end. There are public buses that stop at the condo and travel up and down this avenue which take you to many more restaurants and shops, banks, movie theater, and grocery stores. These buses are very inexpensive.
Buses or taxis can take you about six miles to the 'Old Fishing Village' of Zihuatanejo. 'Zihua' is now a bustling small town but still maintains the charm it has always enjoyed. It is built on rolling hills surrounding beautiful Zihua Bay. You can charter deep sea fishing boats here and, of course, there are many more wonderful restaurants and shops to explore.
There are two golf courses in Ixtapa, The Marina Course, directly across the street from the condo, and the Palma Real, a mile or so down the avenue. Both are lovely, with lots of interesting wild life to enjoy along the fairways and water features.
There are biking trails through beautiful ecological areas to Playa Linda. There you can view exceptional wildlife and take a small boat to Ixtapa Island for snorkeling day trips. There are small restaurants on the island. You can also take the local bus to Playa Linda.
